Had a very unpsilly day yesterday. Went for my routine dental hygiene appt. and mentioned about this molar at the back that was feeling a bit strange for a while now.

Ugh!!!.....dont'cha just hate it?

Been waiting for years to get implants I can nae afford <_<

Speaking of unwanted hair and dreams . . . Last night I dreamt that I had chest hair . . . and it gets better . . . it was highlighted. I also dreamt that I had hair on my back but it was realy long and looked mane-like. I was trying to determine if I should wear it in a ponytail . . . oh, and the back hair had NO highlights!!

....and you were OK with this?

I am in love wif this cat. For some reason, I find this hysterical... . . ..

such concentration.....

such....balance!

And Em....put down the Sharpie and step away from yer mom.....

:lol::lol::lol::ph34r:

I think wif the dh, we've basically been livin separate lives for the last 5-7 years,...

Marriage is HARD work, but we're working on it!!!

Sorry to hear , but it sounds like you're on the right track.

Rachelle, I've been married for 24 years. I know that we have had times where we love each other but are not "in love."

Indeed.....most of us could probably attest to that ;)

Patteigh!!!!!!.....you were supposed to be in Texas next time I went down there! :o

I think you were sent to Texas to be my angel......and now you're not needed down there anymore ;)

Leighsea, you just made me cry a wee bit  I really wanted to see you and Brian too, under the happy circumstances :(

Has Kareng's kid been at your house recently? Maybe yer crockpot should enter the competition.

Maybe that will be the task for the robot next year. Perfectly cooked potatoes! :P Might be a bit boring to watch tho.

Sorry your shoulder won't cooperate.

If you must cover the perfect flavor of cooked apples, it should be vanilla or cinnamon ice cream.

When you move to Joisy maybe you can be on the "Real Housewives" show. :)

TMI, TMI, TMI

Line of the day, my therapist said this to me today

Your therapist is wise! I like that line a LOT! Speaking as an experienced married woman :of all 5 years  (but we have been together for 12 and have known each other since high school) it is definitely hard work. My hubby and I are struggling right now too.

We've been through a lot of life difficulties (I lost my mom, he had a stroke, I've been Lymie) and we react very differently to tough times. You know Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus? Well, I'm the one from Mars- I go to my cave.:huh: We're working on it but may go see a counselor.

Rachelle, I've been married for 24 years. I know that we have had times where we love each other but are not "in love." Guys like you to make them feel special even in little ways. I find that by changing my behavior (because I can only change mine) he reacts to it & changes his behavior.

Anyway, just something for you to think about or not. Sounds like the therapist is leading you in this direction. Good luck!

Karen- This was good- food for me thoughts!

It's like celiac disease - you didn't get there in a day, and it's going to take a while to get back where you'd like to be.

Yep.

'Doctor' was thrown out as a possibility to which the wife answered "your daddy has been in school for a very long time to be a doctor".

Daughter replied "wow! He must learn really slow!"

That made me tear up!

I was telling Kurt the other night what a wonderful, amazing group we have!

Have you had it looked at? does it help to stretch? So sorry you're in pain!!!

I also retreat to my cave. Tis very difficult to be present when I don't pheel like it, but I'm working on it. We've been together for 14 years and have been married for almost 12. I know this may sound trivial, but you know what bugs me the most at this point--I've been a vegetarian for quite a while now, and he constantly offers me some of his phleshy phood and is confused by the annoyed look that must come over my phace. He says, "What?" I say, "I don't eat meat!" He says, "Oh yeah,I keep forgetting..." <_< <_<

I hope your hard times get easier soon Bevs. Just one more thing we don't need bunging up our lives! :P I wish it were easier! Must get control now though, Maddie's gettin close to teenagerness and we need a united front!!

Bevvie and Rah-shell, I'm so sorry you are going through some rough spots. As you know, I've been married about 450 years now :P and I wish I had some words of wisdom for you. Know that the longer you stick it out, the more ups and downs you will encounter because when you think about it, what you have are 2 distinct people who have come from different backgrounds/families bringing all of what goes along with that--sometimes subconsciously. As time goes on, that fact gets ever more evident....

I'm pulling for you both and am here if you need an old sounding board :D <another lovely visual> I do want to say that I'm so proud to know you both and greatly admire your desire and willingness to do what it takes to work through what's going on. ;)

Wow! You're pretty young to have a diagnosis of SMA syndrome. But youth also has its advantages when it comes to healing, without a doubt. You might be surprised to find out how your health improves and how much better you feel once you eliminate gluten from your diet. Celiac disease is an autoimmune disorder that, when gluten is consumed, triggers an attack on the villous lining of the small bowel. This is the section of the intestines where all our nutrition is absorbed. It is made up of billions of tiny finger-like projections that create a tremendous surface area for absorbing nutrients. For the person with celiac disease, unchecked gluten consumption generates inflammation that wears down these fingers and, over time, greatly reduces the nutrient absorbing efficiency of the small bowel lining. This can generate a whole host of other nutrient deficiency related medical problems. We also now know that the autoimmune reaction to gluten is not necessarily limited to the lining of the small bowel such that celiac disease can damage other body systems and organs such as the liver and the joints and cause neurological problems.  It can take around two years for the villous lining to completely heal but most people start feeling better well before then. It's also important to realize that celiac disease can cause intolerance to some other foods whose protein structures are similar to gluten. Chief among them are dairy and oats but also eggs, corn and soy. Just keep that in mind.

I was just diagnosed at 26 after accidental finding. Any simple tips for newbies? Things a non celiac would never think of? I already went through my prescriptions and identified some medications that have gluten. Is there a beginners guide? Celiac for dummies?

Would it be rude to ask your age?
    • pothosqueen
Wow! Thank you @trents I  really appreciate the responses. This line of diagnosis has me questioning a lot of symptoms over the course of my life. Very validating and very much a bummer at the same time.
