What else is new? I am lost in antibiotic vortex. Vewwy, Vewwy tired- insomnia at night and then sleepy all day. But hanging tough- only 10 more weeks to go :D

OK Bevvie. In full support of you hanging tough, I'm giving up sugar for 10 weeks. And no fake subs for sugar, I mean nuthin sweeter than a banana. If you can hang tough, I'll hang tough with you. And every time I see something sweet and yummy, I'll think of you, and count one more day down.

Bloating, tachycardia, erratic heart jumping all over da place, pains in me arms and shoulders, GAAHHHH!!! And no, t'wasn't something I ate, it was all what I didn't eat.

Dude- YOU ROCK! however, I must say that you can't give up ALL sugar for me. I can't drink on antibiotics cause it turns into sugar and feeds them bacteria so I simply MUST request that you drink enough for both of us! Can you do this? Are you with me? Can I tell you what I'm in the mood for and you drink it for me?

Pretty please :P:D:lol:

Nice to see Bev. Hang in there, baby!

I'm afraid the date of the Psilly Psummit in Chicago won't work for me. :(

(maybe you could go another weekend, too)

Shroomie, must I give you the lecture about carrying some nuts or other snack with you at all times? The boys would rather Take my need to lecture out on you. :)

kareng Grand Master

I was typing with Bev. If you need me to drink something for you, I would be happy to try.

Bagheera went to see our vet for the first time this afternoon. She gave him his second set of vaccinations, and loved him. He is 12 weeks old today, and weighed in at 3.4 pounds. He is currently loose in the house, and full of energy.

He has tried sitting on J's computer.

We have a pair of food dishes on legs so Oliver, the 14-year-old diabetic, can easily get to the food. He stands on the floor to dine, but Bagheera has another technique:

and yes Bagheera is giving everyone a run for their money. The 3 adults cats have forgotten what it was like to be a kitten. They are hissing, growling and avoiding him at all possibilities at the moment. Bagheera is not deterred by this at all

All hail, Queen Em!!!! What can I do for you today? ;)

I missed K's new av...All I can see is the flower and I can't see any of Peetah's new panther pictures on this computer. Day's not startin out too great.....and we're headed across the state to the inlaws tonight---for a total of about 30 hours start to finish. I need to mapquest every Starbucks from here to there!!!

So flippin tired!! Max has woken up at 4am the last 2 days soaked. He's been potty trained for 3 years and now he's wetting his bed?!? I purposly gave him NOTHING to drink after 5pm last night and made him go to the bathroom twice before he went to bed. He could not have possibly had that much liquid in him to pee THAT much!!! He had a stomachache and a bit of D last night so I'm wondering if he got glutened somehow... He's harder to tell, symptoms are too scattered to be sure. Have you ever heard of wetting the bed after being glutened?

I want to learn to make cakes like Rachelle. I went to a party on Sunday and and there was cake (not for me) and I thought, I need to learn to make beautiful cakes like Rachelle but only in my size- let them all drool!

If I could figure out how to ship one wifout being destroyed, I'd git one to you pronto!! Are the antibiotics for the Lyme? My mom's been going thru this for the last 2 years. She gets so far along on the meds, then her liver function tanks and she has to go off of them and restart once all her tests results come back normal. It's really frustrating and scary to think of what this might do to her over time.....

Bloating, tachycardia, erratic heart jumping all over da place, pains in me arms and shoulders, GAAHHHH!!! And no, t'wasn't something I ate, it was all what I didn't eat.

So while I got a little bit ahead during the day, fell way behind at night. Then slept only four hours so I'll probly be tired all day today. GAAAHHH!

Gotta get off here and get going....

Good Lord!! I hope you're pheeling betteh today!!

Don't know about the gluten part. My 2 boys sometimes would sleep soo soundly they couldn't wake up. Like allergies made them sleepy and a marching band couldn't get them up and accidents would happen. Maybe the allergies or the gluten is making him sleep differently? At least he woke up, mine could sleep through it all.

celiac-mommy Collaborator

The allergies are the only real thing that's different right now, and I haven't given him any Claritin since Monday, so I'm not sure. I'll try waking him up to go before I go to bed, see if that helps. I hate doing that though because he never fully wakes up and unless I take matters into my own hands.....(which I don't prefer....) then it's a big mess to clean up!:lol:

kareng Grand Master

Supposedly waking them 2 hours after they go to sleep was supposed to keep them from sleeping too deeply. I would wake him up to go to the bathroom, he would go in there, stand awhile, then flush. Never took down his pants or peed. :P I would have to make sure he was really awake. If this continues, I know some exercises that helped my boys.

Those awful horns sound like a swarm of bees on TV. Must be really bad in the stadium. Who is blowing those things for 90 minutes? Shouldn't they pass out after about 20 minutes, thus rendering the stadium relatively quiet?

There is software available online that one can download and it will eliminate the sound of these dreaded vuvuzelas if one is watching via computer.. . .. ...this sound is apparently causing players and spectators alike to become somewhat unhinged... .. . ... . ..

Get tested for vitamin deficiencies.  Though neuropathy can be a symptom of celiac, it can also be caused by deficiencies due to poor digestion caused by celiac and could be easier to treat.

Thank you so much for your response  Yes it seems as though things get very painful as time goes on.  I'm not eating gluten as far as I know.  However, I'm not sure of cross contamination.  My system seems to weaken to hidden spices and other possibilities. ???  if cross contamination is possible...I am in a super sensitive mode of celiac disease.. Neuropathy from head to toes

EXACTLY! I was asked yesterday on my LAST video call with Standford and I stated exactly yes absolutely this is why I need the name! One, get proper care, two, not get worse.Im falling apart, stressed out, in pain and just opened email from Stanford stating I was rude ect.I want that video reviewed by higher ups and see if that women still has a job or not.Im saying this because I've been medically screwed and asking for help because bills don't pay itself. This could be malpratice siit but im not good at finding lawyers

We feel your pain. It took me 20+ years of regularly going to doctors desperate for answers only to be told there was nothing wrong with me … when I was 20 pounds underweight, suffering from severe nutritional deficiencies, and in a great deal of pain. I had to figure it out for myself. If you're in the U.S., not having an official diagnosis does mean you can't claim a tax deduction for the extra expense of gluten-free foods. But it can also be a good thing. Pre-existing conditions might be a reason why a health insurance company might reject your application or charge you more money. No official diagnosis means you don't have a pre-existing condition. I really hope you don't live in the U.S. and don't have these challenges. Do you need an official diagnosis for a specific reason? Else, I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you're diligent in remaining gluten free, your body should be healing as much as possible so there isn't much else you could do anyway. And there are plenty of us out here who never got that official diagnosis because we couldn't eat enough gluten to get tested. Now that the IL-2 test is available, I suppose I could take it, but I don't feel the need. Someone else not believing me really isn't my problem as long as I can stay in control of my own food.
    • AlwaysLearning
If you're just starting out in being gluten free, I would expect it to take months before you learned enough about hidden sources of gluten before you stopped making major mistakes. Ice cream? Not safe unless they say it is gluten free. Spaghetti sauce? Not safe unless is says gluten-free. Natural ingredients? Who knows what's in there. You pretty much need to cook with whole ingredients yourself to avoid it completely. Most gluten-free products should be safe, but while you're in the hypersensitive phase right after going gluten free, you may notice that when something like a microwave meal seems to not be gluten-free … then you find out that it is produced in a shared facility where it can become contaminated. My reactions were much-more severe after going gluten free. The analogy that I use is that you had a whole army of soldiers waiting for some gluten to attack, and now that you took away their target, when the stragglers from the gluten army accidentally wander onto the battlefield, you still have your entire army going out and attacking them. Expect it to take two years before all of the training facilities that were producing your soldiers have fallen into disrepair and are no longer producing soldiers. But that is two years after you stop accidentally glutening yourself. Every time you do eat gluten, another training facility can be built and more soldiers will be waiting to attack. Good luck figuring things out.
