Grilled steak and red potatoes, salad, and scotch.

It was a great dinner, but I seemed to have a bit of a headache this morning. Must be the potatoes.

If a 9.0 magnitude quake hits in Oregon, Rachelle's home may well suddenly have a beach front on the Pacific Ocean. Assuming the tsunami does not wipe it out. :huh:

I'm 30 blocks from the river, quite uphill.... But the bridges would no doubt be wiped out for sure and since I live right across the bridge on the WA side, I cannae be at work when this happens! Must be close to my beh-beh's!!!

Jeeze, then to think of all the volcanos in this area, dormant or not, a josteling like that would likely shake 'em all alive :blink:

Me Psillies- I have missed you all! I have been following along on Gmail but haven't pooped in cause I'm teaching 2 online classes. Spending too much time on the computer. I broke the last one and had to get a new one!

All I know is good news- Geoss's blue-eyed love muffin. Me likey. :wub: :wub: :wub:

Here's my excuses: teaching 2 classes, looking for a house, uhm.....there's an early N'oreaster here (usually a winter snow storm)and it is pouring rain and howling wind.

I have been thinking of you all a lot lately. Last weekend I went to the county fair and as all you long-standing members of the thread will remember, this was the scene of the cosmo-drinking, trampoline jumping crime. Fond memories :D Twas about the time Richard's, our Founding Father, daughter was winging off the chandeliers. That was 4 YEARS AGO!

Just wanted to poop in and say you guys are always with me too!

Bev's fairs are much more exciting than ours!

Boys are home from school. The teachers need a break from them. They will be off Friday in 2 weeks, also.

So here's a question I have been wondering about: what happened to the guy who started this psilly thread?

      @Scott Adams Strange question but can you actually feel your hernia? I have so many abdominal lumps and bumps of longstanding (my GP said it's fat!) that I sometimes wonder if an inguinal hernia could be missed. I am quite sure some of my pain is from my umbilical hernia but that first came about courtesy of my second pregnancy.

      For the Inguinal hernia I could definitely feel it, and it came with an obvious bulge that appeared soon after doing a project where I was drilling holes on concrete using a very old school regular hand drill with mason bit, instead of a hammer drill with mason bit--this left me squatting over the drill putting my weight on it for several hours (the hammer drill would not have required this level of stress, nor the time it took). Bad idea--learn from my mistake in being "lazy" and not renting (or buying) the proper tool for the job. My umbilical hernia was around for many years, and I didn't feel that one at all, so never worried about it. My doctor basically recommended doing both in one surgery, which seemed like wise move.  As far as the possible IBS connection to either, it was definitely apparent after getting the Inguinal hernia, which is why I asked my doctor about that, but after getting both fixed I realize that the umbilical hernia likely also had mild IBS effects over the years.

Recently on the forum someone mentioned the idea of hernia induced IBS, which I now believe was a real for me, but was a fairly minor issue overall, which got worse after getting the more recent Inguinal hernia. My doctor never mentioned this as a possibility, even though I directly asked him about it during my office visit: Me "can my hernias cause any digestive issues?" My doctor: "No, I doubt that." I still need to learn more about hernia induced IBS, but I realize now that I might have been affected by this to some degree in for a while.
