Taking Probiotics but Still Getting Sick After Gluten – Advice?
Thank you for the advice. I’ve actually never checked for nutritional deficiencies, but for as long as I can remember, I’ve always taken vitamin and mineral supplements — otherwise my symptoms get worse. This week I stopped eating gluten to confirm whether my symptoms are really caused by it. Starting next week, I’ll reintroduce gluten — it’s sad to ...- advice

Gluten-Free Food Ingredients That Can Trigger Celiac Disease and IBS-like Symptoms
I, too, was diagnosed in 1980. I was lucky that my mother cooked everything for me from scratch. I also feel lucky that I can have potatoes. I'm sorry for this extra limitation!- additives

Gluten-Free Food Ingredients That Can Trigger Celiac Disease and IBS-like Symptoms
I was diagnosed with Celiac disease in 1980. There were no gluten-free products nor was there informed guidance. Since then, many, many companies now make gluten-free food. However, I have always become very, very sick when eating one of the main ingredients in the majority of gluten-free foods - POTATO STARCH. I eat a potato, or anything with potato starch...- additives

Thanks Jess! Our son will probably devour most of it because he hasn't eaten yet today and is being lazy about having a snack. That's why I always make two. Wish me luck. It's the first time I'm using the convection setting on my oven.

What she said!!
Oh, dear gawd... .. . . ...he wants you to cook LIVER for him?? Jyessss, if you're not ready for something like this, you must tell him - - a good man will understand, and let you take your time.. . . . ..
(((((serious voice)))) Jyessss, I'm so happy for you! He is a lucky guy.
:D
Thanksgiving went well. No one complained about gluten-free food. My sis was eating the cornbread and asked if I should be eating it. Her hub, I was worried he sometimes is picky about food, was interested in the recipes and my bag of Pamelas flour. Jess, Hub & I "L" word the sweet potatoes.
J & M played with the 3 year old all night. They admitted they had fun with him. The 6 month old needed to sleep but wouldn't. He had to watch what the boys were doing, even at his own peril (He & I got hit with stray Nerf darts). Finally, J sat down & put the baby sitting next to him and baby fell asleep. I told him girls will be impressed with this. He may borrow the baby to use as a chick magnet.
And the big break-through: I took a clean fork and gave my mom a bite of the ginger snap crust (she had regular). She took it off the fork and put it on her plate and handed me the fork back. My dad said," She can't use that fork. It might have touched your pie."
Your whole day sounds fantastic. I'm glad it went well.
Wondering how Lo's quackers turned out!
Happy for you both, Jess!!
Happy late T-day everyone . . . still stumbling about in a food coma here . . . had in-laws here (and still do).
My condolences!
