Not wearing his cape? Not even his glasses?

Mods, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think this forum allows those type of pics. No matter how skinny the nakey person might be.

( The last one had on a Santa hat)

He not naked - I save those pics for me (tee -hee). Just younger and in better shape. I just put my turkey in. I'm cooking it at 350 not 325 because my oven is not accurate. Tony got up a little earlier today than usual. He's been sleeping until 11:00 or 12:00. I miss the days when he believed in santa and rushed into our room at 5 AM. We were able to put the presents out the night before. Clark already had one of the books I bought him (2 Jon Stewart books). Tony LOVED the Enormix Condom as well as the gliding Jesus action figure and some kind of unicorn action figure set Clark picked out. Tony bought me a beautiful Swarsky Crystal Butterfly that says I love you on it (I collect them and when he was going to some of the graduation parties for the girls he was close with I let him give them a few of my pieces). He got Clark Kill Bill I & II.

We're staying home and having a laid back Christmas. it's only 11:00 but I'm thinking of having a glass of vino.

Wishing all of my dear psillies a very merry Christmas. I count my new pfamily among my blessings!!!!!!!

Not sure if I ever told y'all about the end of my ex saga.

He was renting the spare room in my house, which I thought was a great deal for someone since I leave at 5 or 6 am and get home at 7 or 8 and pretty much go straight to bed, but he didn't seem to like it. Anyway, Feb? March? of last year he told me he was putting his stuff in storage, going to visit his parents, and getting an apartment when he got back, and could he pay me the last of the rent later. I said sure, just post date a check for whenever. He wrote it for September, and I forgot about it til a week or so ago. Meanwhile, he comes back from his parents, doesn't speak to me at all (and he works in the store where I shop) and I find out from one of the tellers that he came back with a wife and child. So he's been married for months and never told anyone, just showed up with a family. :P

And seriously, if he had spoken even a word to me in the last six months I would have returned his check and told him to get something nice for the baby, but I'm really into that reap/sow thing.

You better cash that check girl. What a bizarre situation. BE is SOOOOO much better for you. Any chance of seeing him today?

Holiday Hugs,

BE and I are taking a couple weeks off to remember who we are. He's also blowing off family today to go skiing. It's been a stressful month and we've been each other's comfort and neither of us want that to define us. We're doing other friends until after the new year, and then he suggested we have a 'first date' so we don't get caught in any dating ruts.  He called yesterday, and I'll leave cheery message on his phone for him to hear when he comes down from the mountain today.

Just hanging out, waiting for the gluten-free brownies to cool. Then I am putting a thick peppermint icing, then cool the icing. Then a layer of melted chocolate. Am making these because M loves them when my neighbor makes them. And, since he doesn't love ham, I thought he should have something he really likes. Wuld put them on the screened porch to cool, but the squirrels are having a Xmas feast of corn, peanuts & sunflower seeds. Don't want them to think I'm serving dessert!

Good to see you here GFinDC!!! You've been missed. I meant to PM you that I won the big holiday raffle at my painting class. it was a 3 foot lighted tree (gave the tree to a pfriend who needed it so DH wouldn't strangle me with the cord). Anyway - it was decorated with supplies (tubes of paint and brushes). Just in time as my UI will run out (pfingers crossed I'll get Disability until I'm able to work). After a certain amount of classes you need to purchase your supplies. Every year the teacher finds a holiday cause and this year it was foster children. So pfor every present you brought in you got a raffle ticket. I would have brought in presents even if there wasn't a prize and in all honesty i never looked at the prize table.

Wishing you a healthy and happy New Year!

Holiday Hugs,

Loey

That and my nutritionist also said that drinking cider is one of the worst drink choices for me, given that I have candida overgrowth.  She said the combination of the alcohol and sugar would be very likely to worsen my candida problem.  She suggested that if I drink, I go for clear vodka, either neat or with a splash of cranberry.   So in summary, I am giving ciders a rest.  Whether it's a gluten risk or sugars and yeast overgrowth, its just not worth it.

Thank you for the information ill will definitely bring it into practice .

While plain, pure tea leaves (black, green, or white) are naturally gluten-free, the issue often lies not with the tea itself but with other ingredients or processing. Many flavored teas use barley malt or other gluten-containing grains as a flavoring agent, which would be clearly listed on the ingredient label. Cross-contamination is another possibility, either in the facility where the tea is processed or, surprisingly, from the tea bag material itself—some tea bags are sealed with a wheat-based glue. Furthermore, it's important to consider that your reaction could be to other substances in tea, such as high levels of tannins, which can be hard on the stomach, or to natural histamines or other compounds that can cause a non-celiac immune response. The best way to investigate is to carefully read labels for hidden ingredients, try switching to a certified gluten-free tea brand that uses whole leaf or pyramid-style bags, and see if the reaction persists.

This is a challenging and confusing situation. The combination of a positive EMA—which is a highly specific marker rarely yielding false positives—alongside strongly elevated TTG on two separate occasions, years apart, is profoundly suggestive of celiac disease, even in the absence of biopsy damage. This pattern strongly aligns with what is known as "potential celiac disease," where the immune system is clearly activated, but intestinal damage has not yet become visible under the microscope. Your concern about the long-term risk of continued gluten consumption is valid, especially given your family's experience with the consequences of delayed diagnosis. Since your daughter is now at an age where her buy-in is essential for a gluten-free lifestyle, obtaining a definitive answer is crucial for her long-term adherence and health. Given that she is asymptomatic yet serologically positive, a third biopsy now, after a proper 12-week challenge, offers the best chance to capture any microscopic damage that may have developed, providing the concrete evidence needed to justify the dietary change. This isn't about wanting her to have celiac; it's about wanting to prevent the insidious damage that can occur while waiting for symptoms to appear, and ultimately giving her the unambiguous "why" she needs to accept and commit to the necessary treatment. This article might be helpful. It breaks down each type of test, and what a positive results means in terms of the probability that you might have celiac disease. One test that always needs to be done is the IgA Levels/Deficiency Test (often called "Total IGA") because some people are naturally IGA deficient, and if this is the case, then certain blood tests for celiac disease might be false-negative, and other types of tests need to be done to make an accurate diagnosis. The article includes the "Mayo Clinic Protocol," which is the best overall protocol for results to be ~98% accurate.

Welcome to the community! Generally, for a gluten challenge before celiac disease blood tests, Tylenol (acetaminophen) is considered safe and should not interfere with your antibody results. The medications you typically need to avoid are those like ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) or naproxen (Aleve) that can cause intestinal irritation, which could potentially complicate the interpretation of an endoscopy if you were to have one. However, it is absolutely crucial that you confirm this with either your gastroenterologist or your surgeon before your procedure. They know the specifics of your case and can give you the definitive green light, ensuring your surgery is comfortable and your celiac testing remains accurate. Best of luck with your surgery tomorrow
