I think you should do a poll here . . . Gab/Chat Room, of course.

Lisa!! Hope yer snot comin' down wif strep!! . . . lots of strep 'round here parts tho!! My neighbor's been home wif it. She works at the school and caught it there. I saw the school nurse yesterday. She lives in my neighborhood and I saw her pulling into her drive on my way to the grocery store so I stopped to say Hai. She was probably going through withdrawal cuz she sees me at the school a couple times a week. Anywho . . . she was on a rant about people sending their kids to school sick . . . also ranted about the person who did a food tasting at lunchtime on Wednesday. She gave specific instructions about the brand of corn chip to buy to serve the quacamole with so that Skeeter could have it. She's very protective of her allergy/intolerance/etc kids and making sure they get to try everything and are safe. Anywho . . . the person didn't buy the right chips . . . but Skeeter was out sick anyway.

Maybe a mouth to bowl tube? I'll get working on the specifics.

Ummmmmm......a barph phunnel?

Cooper ( the dog) has strep. Apparently, with all the playing in the snough, he scraped under his chin. It then got infected. He has cream for it! But, fortunately, no barphage.

Excellent ideas. Can we make them self cleaning? Maybe a hose hook-up to rinse them out?

Infection migrating from the outside to the inside?

Or perhaps strep is on the outside......I guess it would be pretty tricky getting the cream down his throat

Strep is all around us & on us!

Like the little rinsy thing in the spit bowl at the dentist . . . although my dentist now has this suction phunnel that you spit into. Let's add some suction!!!

Strep is all around us & on us!

Strep is short for streptococcus which is a type of bacteria . . . <said in my I know how to google authoritative voice>

I was thinking a disposable liner?

Yeah--on our skin and stuff. Poor Cooper!

Meant to say his strep is on the outside

Oh my poor dear psillies. I go offline for three days and half or you are barfing and now there's a mutiny. I'm still hurting from the procedures but it seems like nothing compared by what all of you are going through. As for the standing while barfing - I'm a kneeler. But I hate barfing almost more than anything in the world (including childbirth without medication). Sending healing thoughts and cyber chicken soup for those of you who can handle it. I thought doing a cleanse on my birthday was the worst thing ever but I think all of you have suffered much more!!!!

I've Missed you all. PLEASE feel better soon!!!! wub.gifwub.gifwub.gifwub.gifwub.gif

Love & Hugs,

I would rather work on an attachment to the toilet that raises the bowl, quickly, to, say, chest level. DH's nose won't clog, Shrooomie's knees would be saved..... . . . ..one could raise it up for easier cleaning. Though ill users would have to be certain to lower the bowl after barphing - - not such a good thing for anyone racing in with sudden bowel issues. Helluva thing, managing to climb up to a chest-high bowl.. . . . . ...

Hmmm. . . . . . ...may need some refining.. .. . . ..

I remember, when a child, my neighbor barfing in the kitchen sink ( morning sickness for the whole pregnancy).

I like the adjustable toliet. Many uses. Low for a potty training 2 year old. The perfect height for a 5 footer or a 6 footer.

I was a kid, but still remember my aunt barphing in my grandma's kitchen sink--all the while running the garbage disposal. Gross! She was a nurse and still thought this was a brilliant idea.

Hows about a tubular force field between the mouth and the loo opening - no oversplash could penetrate it. All loos must be fitted with a button to operate such field.

Now the Trekkies are trying to take over this thread!

I'm thinking something like the chairs that hair stylists use.

OK . . . obviously too much vomit talk.

I was perusing some of the other threads and instead of reading "Am I Barking up the Wrong Tree" . . . I read . . . you know where this is going . . . "Am I Barphing up the Wrong Tree" . . . and thought . . .they're probably standing when they barph up a tree . . . followed by . . . I hope they can put an arch on that barph or it's coming right back at them.

mushroom Proficient

Didn't know there was a correct barphing tree  Tell me which one to avoid  T'is certainly not a procedure I would recommend as having a high degree of accuracy, especially when you consider that the males with the penii can often not even meet the target accurately

"I'm wondering if she just hadn't eaten enough to test positive?" --> Because your daughter is "IGA deficient", the (gliadin IGA) test she was given could not work properly and the result of that particular test was meaningless. The amount of gluten she did/didn't eat would not matter for that part, whether or not she actually has celiac disease. If instead she had had normal levels of IGA in her blood, then the question of how much gluten she was eating would become relevant.

That sounds very hernia inducing work! You confirm what I have suspected, I get pain just to the right of the umbilical hernia, I am sure there is a connection.  If do see my gastroenterologist I'll mention it again.   I can't help thinking I've also got an issue in my groin, perhaps a hernia threatening, I guess an ultrasound would be needed to confirm it.
    • Scott Adams
For the Inguinal hernia I could definitely feel it, and it came with an obvious bulge that appeared soon after doing a project where I was drilling holes on concrete using a very old school regular hand drill with mason bit, instead of a hammer drill with mason bit--this left me squatting over the drill putting my weight on it for several hours (the hammer drill would not have required this level of stress, nor the time it took). Bad idea--learn from my mistake in being "lazy" and not renting (or buying) the proper tool for the job. My umbilical hernia was around for many years, and I didn't feel that one at all, so never worried about it. My doctor basically recommended doing both in one surgery, which seemed like wise move.  As far as the possible IBS connection to either, it was definitely apparent after getting the Inguinal hernia, which is why I asked my doctor about that, but after getting both fixed I realize that the umbilical hernia likely also had mild IBS effects over the years.
    • cristiana
@Scott Adams  Strange question but can you actually feel your hernia?  I have so many abdominal lumps and bumps of longstanding (my GP said it's fat!) that I sometimes wonder if an inguinal hernia could be missed.  I am quite sure some of my pain is from my umbilical hernia but that first came about courtesy of my second pregnancy.

Thanks for sharing this! I've always wanted to go to Ireland, and we did include Ireland in a recent top travel destinations article, so it's nice to know that we got that right:
