But I wanna try to come around here a lot more.

This tests the rigidity of a 'flipover' definition, i'd say. Must it be max flip, as in (n-1) zeroes?

Hmmmm.......methinks one needs to hit a mellennial phlipover to garner a nod of notice..... . . ..I assume for phluids, too.........No deluges in the past few days, but I am surrounded by cat vomit (at least, more cat vomit than usual). What is it with these creatures and regular puking? Is it a carnivore/desert thing? Do everyone's cats regularly sit, quiet and comfortable, and suddenly throw up, then walk a few feet away, then settle into another sit and begin cleaning their faces with their paws? Like, "ho hum........jeez, I gotta get three more o' those in today......what time is it?"

Actually, this may happen around here even more than I realize, as there are two resident dogs who likely find a sudden vomit cache quite........(:greenguy:) ..... . .... .delicious.....

Yep, Ptaoughmmn, 70% is good. You were well below 50, I am sure, when we were last hearing from you..... :)

And please come by here regularly, now! Also, git yerselph actively onto facebook....all of us regular Psillies are on there, and much fun and hilarity ensues between us all......

Still working part-time after-hrs at sandisk. Got a (hefty almost %-wise) raise last wk but of course still underpaid compared to before. And no benefits as a part-time temporary contractor. Really never could've guessed i'd be a temp for 3+ yrs & counting.

I'm actually just now going to bed b4 dawn. Worked til 1am. I'd try working daytime if they'd all just promise to not use perfumes, colognes, fragrancey shampoos or cleansers.

Or git a SCAWBA unit. (AboveWater)

Goodeffins, a real Ptaughmus post and not just one of those quick poop-ins. First real one since I've been in this house - a milestone at least. Nice to get to 'know' you Ptaughmus :) You have been but a figment of my imagination - which had you at only about 25% :P

Our Kiwi, Shroomie is trying to keep her house in one piece :o

You haf no idear how hard it is running from wall to wall when you see 'em moving  - whoops, there's anudder dat needs support  - it's calling 'help me'

I once had a puking Abby - didn't just sit quiet and comfortable but suddenly zzzzzoomed to the nearest, bestest carpet she could find to deposit her little gift ..And she was a prolific gifter too! Have now decided she was celiac. Poor kitteh.

Moops??? sounds more like cow patties to me :P

Ptaoughmnn is too long to type!

I KNOW. And because I found this bit of spelling psilliness very funny, I kept adding to the name as I wrote so that it became something like Ptaoughhmmusse, and in my typically English-language-OCD fashion, insisted that I spelled it the same way each time I typed it. It has become quite laboUr-intensive.

Hey it's PinchPunch no backsies time!

So the UK doing Olys this yr but in such a financial crunch they raised Univ tuition 300% last yr? I could barely believe that when I read it & I'm not sure now, really. Calif students demonstrate/protest when it's an 8% increase.

Uh-oh can't get too political. But I *have* been awfully amused by the primary circus.

Only reason I joined was to look at pictures of Jess's kitchen remodel. I've got a fake name with a fake birthday so nobody can find me unless I give them the info. I'm never on . . . yet. I suppose I'll use it to keep an eye on the kids once they get the bug to start using it.

Mostly just the impending part. Too many nuts on the roads.....and I have developed a fear of psycho drivers. Also not a fan of crowds. Fees for parking are insane.

Normal everyday folk won't be able to buy the (FB)stock. The said first offerings are going to the houses "members of status". So for me to get a chance to buy it, I would make the 'bigwigs" even more money. i've got to hit on a penny stock somethin.

Ah Robotics Season! The time of year when I send an email and get responses from parents with 8 questions back. 4 of the questions are answered in the email I just sent. 2 are answered in the previous info sent. 2 are WTF? questiions like can they bring a curling iron? Do they have to eat at McDonalds?

Ant the ever popular- You are leaving at 3:30? My kid can't be there until 4:30. Can you change the time?

:o

kareng Grand Master

Now I have a parent that has told a bunch of the other parents that there is no cost to them for the kids to travel with the team. If a random someone decides the kids don't have to buy thier own food, does that make it so?

I'm going to hide in a hole, now.

Maybe you have a low  intolerance to Wheat.   Rye, Barley and Malt are the gluten in Celiac disease.  It has always been stated Wheat and Gluten, not just a Wheat intolerance.  Barley will keep me in bed for (2) weeks.  Gut, Migrains, Brain fog, Diahrea.  It is miserable.  And when I was a toddler the doctor would give me a malt medicine because I always had Anemia and did not grow.  Boy was he off.  But at that time the US didn't know anyone about Celiac.  This was the 1940s and 50s.  I had my first episode at 9 months and did not get a diagnosis until I was 50.  My immune system was so shot before being diagnoised, so now I live with the consequences of it. I was so upset when Manufacturers didn't want to label their products so they added barley to the product.  It was mostly the cereal industry.  3 of my favorite cereals were excluded because of this. Malt gives me a bad Gut reaction.

Thanks much Scott.  Well said, and heeded.   I don't have Celiac, which is fortunate.

Do you have the results of your endoscopy? Did you do a celiac disease blood panel before that?  Here is more info about how to do a gluten challenge for a celiac disease blood panel, or for an endoscopy: and this recent study recommends 4-6 slices of wheat bread per day:
    • Scott Adams
It is odd that your Tissue Transglutaminase (TTG) IgA level has bounced from the "inconclusive" range (7.9, 9.8) down to a negative level (5.3), only to climb back up near the positive threshold. This inconsistency, coupled with your ongoing symptoms of malabsorption and specific nutrient deficiencies, is a strong clinical indicator that warrants a more thorough investigation than a simple "satisfactory" sign-off. A negative blood test does not definitively rule out celiac disease, especially with such variable numbers and a classic symptomatic picture. You are absolutely right to seek a second opinion and push for a referral to a gastroenterologist. A biopsy remains the gold standard for a reason, and advocating for one is the most direct path to getting the answers you need to finally address the root cause of your suffering. Here is more info about how to do a gluten challenge for a celiac disease blood panel, or for an endoscopy: and this recent study recommends 4-6 slices of wheat bread per day:

There is a distinction between gluten itself and the other chemicals and processing methods involved in modern food production. Your experience in Italy and Greece, contrasted with your reactions in the U.S., provides powerful anecdotal evidence that the problem, for some people, may not be the wheat, but the additives like potassium bromate and the industrial processing it undergoes here. The point about bromines displacing iodine and disrupting thyroid function is a significant one, explaining a potential biological mechanism for why such additives could cause systemic health issues that mimic gluten sensitivity. It's both alarming and insightful to consider that the very "watchdog" agencies meant to protect us are allowing practices banned in many other developed countries. Seeking out European flour and your caution about the high-carb, potentially diabeticgenic nature of many gluten-free products are excellent practical takeaways from your research, but I just want to mention--if you have celiac disease you need to avoid all wheat, including all wheat and gluten in Europe.
