 As a matter of fact, that is me in the video. Yes, the story starts to make a lot more sense once you know exactly what I look like, and what I tend to wear. ....

*SNORT*

It seems the urologist is going back into my dad's kidney tomorrow morning to take out two big stones that he could not get in the three-hour surgery last month......he extracted enough stones to make a necklace and matching bracelet, and now there will be a pair of earrings. Gad.

So, more surgery. The specialist must figger that Dad can handle more invasion.. .. ....I just know dad's thinking, "Lord, enough, already!"

flourgirl Apprentice

Ugh! Em-n-Em....yer pooor, poor dad! I remember the one time my own dad was in the hospital. His first and only time till last year. He had scar tissue wrapped around and cutting off the intestines (they sent him home a couple of times saying nothing was wrong with him and he almost died. Exploratory surgery discovered the problem <:aghastangryWIHface:>) Anyway....I took my son and his cousin, then about age 10 to go visit. We were all fine until Dad showed us his staples just before we left. I stepped into the hallway and doubled over in an attempt not to faint! Guess I couldn't handle my Dad in a position of less than perfect strength and health :P . I wonder if the boys remember this? I keep your Dad and your family in prayer.....hope he returns to good health soon. :)

JGSHesS is going to discover a way for us to make a living without working???!!! count me in! Actually I like to work.....especially if it's for myself and in my yard. B)

My flea bites are tiny red dots. You might react more strongly.

Bedbugs bite in clusters or lines....

I'se trying to motivate meselph to get me house ready for Barb (she comes back tomorra) and think about what to take with me, but I think I will just take one big bag with all my gluten free snacks, medications, supplements, ointments, creams and lotions--and syringes!!--and forgeddabout the rest of it (shouldn't need my phake phur knickers) :o:lol: I drive homeland security bonkers when I go through their screening Hehehe.

Is skeeters the same as mossies??? What drove me out, them thangs!!! One bite on my arm and I would swell from my elbow to my fingertips!!! They kept me in my house 24/7 except when I became a mad dog and went out in the midday sun and added to my repertoire of skin cancers :P

Sha-Roomie! Loved your def. of retirement. Hubby wants dearly to retire in a couple of years...but doesn't look good. Doesn't help that my "illness" came along and knocked us for a good loop! Psuess....my vote is not for flea-bites. I've only ever seen tiny red dots as flea bites. Could be something else....whatever it is I hope it goes away and you don't get any more!!! Watch for the "bulls-eye" look to those! Some spider bites can be pserious!

Dear gawd, we have these little horrific things in Northern Ontario - - tiny little black flies, millions and millions of them, getting in yer eyes, ears, hair, driving the most stalwart of explorers and workers to insanity... . . . . . ..

Have nae experienced this torture, just heard the graphic legends.

We have HUGE, fuzzy bumble bees around here. There is one (the very same one each year, I am certain) who is quite taken with me. Every now and then when I am outside in the back, he will come lazily by, buzzing as loudly as a lawn mower (he is the size of a small bird, truly), and circle around me for a while. He has often landed on the ground near where I am digging, or on the arm of my chair whilst I sit wif me tea. Quietly regarding me, I assume.

This weekend Jack and I were walking to the store, and suddenly there he was, buzzing around my head.

"Mom! It's your bee!" The Ripper exclaimed. "This is getting a little ridiculous".... .

What does this mean? What does it want from me?

Sorry for the long post. I’m 18, and I was diagnosed with celiac disease and type 1 diabetes (T1D). My transglutaminase IgA was >128 U/mL, EMA IgA positive twice, and I’m HLA-DQ2 and DQ8 positive. I’ve been completely asymptomatic since diagnosis, even when I cheated with gluten sometimes in the past and used to eat out(2-5 years ago) I don’t get the typical celiac reactions, which makes it really hard to know when (or if) I’ve been glutened. But for the past year, I’ve been the most strict with my diet, and that’s also when a bunch of new issues started. I eat completely glutenfree, never eat out, dont eat food that says „may contain gluten“.   Current Health...

I've been making a lot of black bean brownies lately because it's one of the few gluten free dessert recipes that actually tastes palatable.  I've also seen chocolate cake recipes with black beans.  Someone mentioned a cookie recipe using lentils in place of flour.  Just wondering if anyone's run across any tried and true recipes using beans, lentils or peas for desserts?  I've seen a lot of recipes for garbanzo flour but I'm allergic to garbanzo beans/chickpeas.  Was wondering if adzuki or pinto beans might be useful in replacing some or all of the flour in baking.  Since gluten free flours can be crumbly was hoping the beans might help produce a better, less crumbly consistency.  Any...

I've seen a lot of recipes for chia pudding, so I decided to make some with chia, water, cocoa and honey.  Didn't like the taste, so I added ground sunflower and ground pumpkin seed to it.  It tasted okay, but came out more like frosting that pudding.  I used to make pudding with tapioca starch, milk powder, water and sugar.  It came out very good but I haven't figured out what to use to replace the milk powder to make it dairy free.  Most starches will work in place of tapioca starch but quantity varies depending on the type of starch.  If I didn't add enough starch to get a pudding consistency, I'd add gelatin as well to fix it.  Avocado and cocoa makes a good dessert with a pudding like...

Seems like when I find a gluten free product I like, the producer stops manufacturing it and then I have trouble finding a new gluten free source for it.  What's worse, I've been contacting companies to ask if their products are gluten free and they don't even bother to respond.  So, it's making it very hard to find safe replacements.  I was buying teff flour at nuts.com and they no longer carry it.  I noticed Naturevibe has teff and soy flour.  However, I can't get a response as to whether their flours are safe for someone with celiac.  Can't get a response from Aldi if their peas are safe for someone with celiac either.  I know Bob's Red Mill has teff flour but was hoping to get a large quantity. ...
