Speaking of classic sillie moments, remember how we pulled off 100 pages in a weekend when Soozle was kween? Leesigh, as I recall, was instrumental in that one

Legendary

Did you get him?????

I was going to wait until Bilbo was cleared and see if they do well together. I somehow think bringing two kitties in at once will be easier on Lyle. I also want to fence in my deck so's I can sleep at night without waking up every 20 minutes to make sure Lyle is still there.

Well, well, well........... All Hail HRH Queen Emily of the Canadias!

I always wanted to get this fer someone so I shall give this to you.A60436.webp

I was typing with Bev. If you need me to drink something for you, I would be happy to try.

Yes, please. Everyone drink yer favorite cocktail for me tonight- the new expression in the Bah-ston area is "get yer drink on":blink: I personally am in the mood for frozen margaritas with lots of salt!

Bagheera went to see our vet for the first time this afternoon. She gave him his second set of vaccinations, and loved him. He is 12 weeks old today, and weighed in at 3.4 pounds. He is currently loose in the house, and full of energy.

Bagheera is the CUTEST kitteh! Those ears are precious.  A friend of mine lost her black cat Bear the same weekend we lost Simon and I swear Bagheera is Bear's reincarnation. When we went to get him as a kitten he was all ears and pink bum. So cute!

All hail, Queen Em!!!! What can I do for you today? ;)

I missed K's new av...All I can see is the flower

Are the antibiotics for the Lyme? My mom's been going thru this for the last 2 years. She gets so far along on the meds, then her liver function tanks and she has to go off of them and restart once all her tests results come back normal. It's really frustrating and scary to think of what this might do to her over time.....

I can see the flower and something that LOOKS like a kitty but I'm not sure.

Yes- the antibiotics are for the Lyme (well, technically bartonella). YOUR MOM HAS IT??????? :( Oh Rachelle- what a drag! How is she doing?

Now, Jess, I think we all know how this happens and what we can do to prevent these type of accidents.

Kareign- LOL x 5

Ohhhhhhh, 1 more patient today and then we're off to the bowels of earth for 2 days. To top it off, my last patient is certifiably crazy!

Oh my God- what a story. Maybe peeps like her were in the ER yesterday which would explain why I was completely ignored then dismissed (more later). WACKOS!!!!!!!!

You guys who weren't around at that time should go back and check out the reign from page 1700-1800. Gawd, we were nutballs.. . . . . .. . . ..

GAWD I miss the nutballs- more nutballs for EVERYONE. Can that be the first Royal Edict (edickT?)

PadT's secret coup= those were the daze!!!!!!!!!

Is the cutest- he NEEDS you Jess!

...or the yeti & the care bear :lol:

But, I still have the yeti. Didn't I tell you?

OK- part Deux in a minute! Must discuss Shroomie's not eating, my trip to the ER and why, regardless of who wins, the WORLD CUP ROCKS!

Shroomie- Same thing (hypoglycemia) happened to me the other day and I was at least a half-hour drive from home. I hope you're feeling better. And yes, karen should lecture us both on having food with us at all times rather than lecturing her sons

OK- the ER debacle. I's not feeling so hot anyway these days but Wednesday I had this "hive-like" thing on my right arm. So I itched it cause it was itchy. I thought maybe it was a wee bit of poison ivy. The whole area (like 4 inches across) turned red and then black and blue   Still wasn't impressed. Didn't think much about it.

I felt horrid- like really weak- Wed afternoon and Thursday and Friday morning (and in a boatload of pain) but I was just thinking Lyme flare. Then I got scared cause it did not feel like Lyme. Called my doc- she said ER toot sweet!

So I arrive at the same time as a 6 people in 3 car accident (minor- no blood, just hurt necks and backs but 2 little kids :( ), some poor guy obviously withdrawing from some heinous drug and all sorts of police, jail officials (prison riot?)and 2 guys handcuffed to beds.

Our hospital is the hospital for the medium security prison nearby. Anywhoo, I was the least of the worries. Guy looked at me for 2 seconds, said "Yeah, probably a spider bite. Go home" Not much help there.

Bite site stills looks weird, slept for 12 hours last night and still feel wacko. I guess I'll have to live to Monday when I can see a doctor whose other patients are not handcuffed to their beds

At least the little kids in the car accident were OK. One beautiful, blonde, well-figured young lady (maybe 21-22) was in the tightest red dress I have ever seen, on her cell phone the entire time whining in a horrid Boston accent about how she had to be there and was missing some stellar party. Kurt and I both agreed (laughing) that she was GORGEOUS.....

until she opened her mouth!!!!!!!!

I go to a simple football tourney and Psilly breaks loose! I will have to go back and re-read the over throw plot.

My FIL who came into town and told us we must help him pack up the house here and take things we do not want or else he will throw them away, (deep breath) called this am to say he was going to the Ozarks to "check on something for the future". He will not be requiring out attention. Won't say what he is checking on but I image he's looking into buying a house. Probably thinks this will be a great surprise and we will all be sooo grateful if he would let us use it. If I wanted a house on the lake, I would have bought one years ago. I certainly don't want to spend a weekend at the lake with him and his DIL wife.

Sorry that wasn't silly. Except the part that his wife is also his DIL. That's kinda psilly. :)

Yes. Younger then the first 3 kids, slightly older than the one she married, and older then the last one. Then there were 2 kids they adopted but gave away. Very "Jerry Springer". (a show where odd people come on and confess to indiscretions and fight each other)

Hi, Buh-knee! :) I'll bet your job is great - - you haven't been here much, which has gotta mean that you're completely absorbed, involved and loving what you're doing!

Awesome!!! I'm already learning how to do certain 'special' things so I can be a 'backup' person for when one guy's wife has a baby. Makes me feel good!

Looking for help sourcing gluten-free products that do not contain potato or corn derived ingredients. I have other autoimmune conditions (Psoriatic Arthritis and Sjogrens) so I’m looking for prepared foods as I have fatigue and cannot devote a lot of time to baking my own treats.

I am so sorry you're going through this. It's completely understandable to feel frustrated, stressed, and disregarded after such a long and difficult health journey. It's exhausting to constantly advocate for yourself, especially when you're dealing with so many symptoms and positive diagnoses like SIBO, while still feeling unwell. The fact that you have been diligently following the diet without relief is a clear sign that something else is going on, and your doctors should be investigating other causes or complications, not dismissing your very real suffering.

It is just so sad that health care in the United States has come to this.  Health insurance should be available to everyone, not just the healthy or the rich.  My heart goes out to you.  I would not hesitate to have the test and pay for it myself.  My big concern would be how you could keep the results truly private.  I am sure that ultimately, you could not.  A.I. is getting more and more pervasive, and all data is available somewhere.  I don't know if you could give a fake name, or pay for your test with cash.  I certainly would not disclose any positive results on a private insurance application.  As I understand it, for an official diagnosis, an MD needs to review your labs and make the call.  If you end up in the ER, or some other situation, just request a gluten free diet, and say it is because you feel better when you don't eat gluten.      Hang in there, though.  Medicare is not that far away for you, and it will remove a lot of stress from your health care concerns.  You will even be able to "come out of the closet" about being Celiac!

Yes, I've posted a few times about two companies: Request a Test and Ulta Labs. Also, pretty much we can all request any test we want (with the possible exception of the N protein Covid test and I'm sure a couple of others) with Lab Corp (or Pixel by Lab Corp) and Quest. I much prefer Lab Corp for their professionalism, ease of service and having it together administratively, at least in DC. And just so you know, Request a Test uses Lab Corp and Quest anyway, while Ulta Labs uses only Quest. Ulta Labs is cheaper than Request a Test, but I am tired of dealing with Quest, so I don't use them so much.

PS - I think you meant this site, but I don't believe it has been updated in years: http://glutenfreedrugs.com/ so it is best to use: You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance" and click it, and then look at "Inactive Ingredients," as any gluten ingredients would likely appear there, rather than in the Active Ingredients area. https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/
