I absolutely LOVE my dishwasher. Have never felt any resentment, any bitterness nor frustration, towards my lovely ol' Whirlpool.. .. . . . ...now my fridge....ha. Milk frozen on the condenser - - why doesn't it have an automatic THAW response??

Perhaps it was all a ruse . . . maybe she just wanted something new. My current washer & dryer don't match, don't do very big loads and are LOUD. I told me hubby which ever one goes out first, we're replacing them both with a top notch (cha-chinchillaching) pair. That was several years ago. They're still going . . . I might have to resort to sabotage . . . with a knife apparently.

Hiya Jan-it!!!!!

How's things?

Ummmm . . . busy, I guess . . . Smackl is transitioning to middle school. Lots of events in the schedule. Tomorrow they have what they call a "try on" . . . where any 5th grader can go over and try a couple of the instruments to see if they want to take band. Smackl has decided to try the trumpet, the viola, and the bassoon. I think he wants to try the bassoon just because it looks weird.

Also, Smackl is in the homestretch for his black belt. Final testing is in June. Lots more practices, some seminars, letters of recommendation and a community service project . . . I have to take him to get passport photos taken for his ID which gets issues out of Korea.

In other news, it seems like my kids did not do well with the time change . . . they are both pretty grumpy . . . I have resorted to telling them to quit talking to each other.

Also, just had some good friends leave for England on Sunday. They will be there for three years. Nikkers, we are headed to England the summer after next . . . pencil me in.

When I was about 12, maybe, I killed my parents' washer. One of my many chores was to do the laundry and in those days, the machine could run the whole cycle with the lid open. I saw my mom run it this way many times, so didn't think anything of it. So, I was running a load and heard the most gawd awful banging--the jug of fabric softener had fallen in, and I guess made the load terribly off-balance and the drum came loose and was banging around and making dents in all sides of the machine.

Appliance abuse?

I have wanted to do this many times to my appliances. However, i was afraid I would hurt myself.

So much has happened today while I was trying to ski! Can't get any pics of the boys as I cannot catch up to them. They only meet up for lunch so we will fund it.

A dryer is easy to sabotage. If you have the manual ( if not look on line - at the library so it can't be traced back to you) look for the fuse. Pull it out.

Okay psills - new vocabulary word for the day (for me lately anyway - I was used to the first definition)

"Munted" - formerly used in the sense of an over-inebriated state, like I got totally munted on wodka last night. New use: shattered, buggared (this word is okay here - Toyota even used it in a commercial ), destroyed, irreparable, flattened, as in: That building is totally munted.

Mayor Bob Parker has now issued three levels of muntedness - the minor-munt, the medium-munt and the mega-munt, I would guess roughly corresponding with green stickered, yellow stickered or red stickered Our house has a minor munt. but we still need to remediate the muntedness before we leave it for da winter - may delay our departure #%*/@ red tape

When I first joined the psillies and wanted to hear the story of Jess and BE I read the thread from the start of their relationship. I really have to get a life (other than going to doctor's offices)! Hey, at least today's doctor's appointment is just for eyeglasses - no poking and prodding. Tomorrow is the follow-up with the Oncologist and Friday the Neurologist. Get new shots in my spine next week and the following week I see the cardiologist (where he will give me a drug to stimulate a stress test) and finally my PCP and then it looks like April is free and clear- YAY!!!!! Now Clark just needs a job. No word from the place he interviewed
