Has anyone ordered a frozen pumpkin pie? My daughter ordered one last year and now we can't remember what company it was. I checked online at Whole Foods Gluten Free Bakery, but they only make apple, pecan.

Thanks.

Natural Feast makes one, though I haven't tried it. Was that the company?

my local health foods store makes them fresh. if you are not lucky enough to be able to do this, i would try gillians. you just defrost heat through and searve. i found it to have a better taste then natural feast.

we demo'ed the Natural Feast pies at the two food demos we did yesterday and OMG they were awful. Just awful. No one liked them. It was really funny.

I much prefer to make my own pumpkin pie using The Gluten Free Pantry's perfect pie crust mix.

Actually, Natural Feast, I've had them and if they are cooked per the directions really good, in my opinion

I cooked them per the directions, AND the manager of the one store we were at also cooked the same ones and thawed out the Chocolate Mousse one. NO ONE liked them. But everyone has different tastes which is why there are different products... I guess it's cos they are also vegan... just didn't care for them.

I second the vote for GFP's Perfect Pie Crust Mix. It's very easy to make and tastes delicious! Very flakey and yummy. The filling for almost any type of pie can easily be made gluten-free and many of the recipes I've always used just naturally are gluten-free.

GFP 's pie crust can be made ahead of time and frozen for later use. It has egg in it so it has to be frozen, not just refrigerated for longer periods of time.

It tastes good; our non gluten-free family likes it better than wheat pie crust.

So there was no physical, plastic card involved, correct?

When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?

We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.
