Can't decide, is this like when we think we have two heads? Is everyone staring ?

Or is it an add for a service where someone dressed as a gorilla stands behind you as you order making sure the staff don't forget?

It is, the gorilla is advertsing for a gluten-free resto.... I just thought it was funny... I sometimes feel like I have someone dressed outrageously stood behind me when I'm explaining to waiters ... and everyone is suddenly staring ....

I couldn't either. Perhaps the gorilla was giving her a hint. I wish he'd come stand outside a restaurant or two here, I miss going out to eat.

Yes! I need the sign-carrying gorilla :lol:

My "gluten spiel" is usually met with a deer in the headlight look. That might just snap them out of it :D

Although, I would think I died and went to heaven if I was walking down the street, and anyone was standing there holding a sign for a gluten-free restaurant! :rolleyes:

Its a long story, the short answer is in my profile.....

I joined the group simply because I got hundreds of invites... silly really bowing to peer pressure but its kinda flattering...

Anyway I just accepted an "invite" and thought little of it until some script banned me for not inviting enough other people to the group! Personally I find that kind of activity a bit viral... its like pyramid marketing... so I thought nothing of it but it was damned hard work deleting all my photo's because you can't just use the group "delete my photos from this group" type tools...

So I mailed the admin asking him to remove all my photo's and he just said tough... you can rejoin if you invite X amount of people? He/she presumably gets a lot :D read the link to see how the admin delights in suspending people ....

So I just stopped but I was getting 30-50 inivtations a day .... to join the same group I got suspended from for not hassling others as they hassled me... and it was taking me half an hour a day to delete the damned invites... so I changed my name to reflect this...

Beleive it or not I still get a few invitations but this is diminishing as I just block anyone from that group commenting on my photo's.

It makes life easier, they used to send me mails asking how I did this or that... and I just used to reply thay until they quit the group they would be blocked... now I just block them forever.... I don't need that group, I have plenty of photo's in explore top 500 at any one time and a whole load of people seem to love my photo's...

I certainly enjoyed your photos--both these and some I'd seen previously. I also wondered about the "ban", so I'm glad Nikki asked :D:ph34r:

That group sounds like a real hassle--I think you were better off being banned!

      @Charlie1946There is a PM (Personal Message) tool built into the forum website that allows you to send a private message to other forum users. Just hover over their name with your mouse cursor and the menu containing that tool will pop up. This is useful if you want to communicate with an individual without everyone else involved in the thread seeing it....

      Nope its just me because they can eat wheat and when we use same pans I found out last year thanks to you guys and the autoimmune website im learning,we are not to share though clean, same with sponge. I just wish doctors understood. I am with new gi and new pcp but im falling apart because blood work is fabulous.Im so ANGERY.I have reached out to my local...

      i have been strictly gluten free for 7 months. this includes avoiding anything that may contain gluten and making sure surfaces and appliances are clean. i am 18 years old in australia and my tTG-IgA results were 69U/mL, pretty low compared to most people's, for reference. i feel the exact same as before. sure, i was pretty much asymptomatic/silent. the worst i'd get was occasionally bad stools and pitting of the nails/brittle hair since early childhood - and i was diagnosed with low iron and vitamin d which checks out due to easy bruising and such. but those symptoms have remained. maybe i'm jumping the gun, sure. i know it can take years to fully heal. but being over half a year in, i feel that i should be, y'know, healing. i'm nearly at my wits end and wondering if i should have a piece of bread or something to see how i go - to see if i possibly have refractory? my mental health is declining as i feel myself wanting to bang my head against a damn wall out of frustration every day. cravings haven't gotten better. look, i love the stuff i still can have, like salads and such. OH! i haven't lost any weight, which is mind boggling considering i eat very healthily now! i've always been on the chubbier side which is atypical of coeliac. i just don't know what's going on with me. i try to remain hopeful but i'm just so sad all the time. thanks for reading

This is useful if you want to communicate with an individual without everyone else involved in the thread seeing it.  Are you realizing that in my PPI taper down recommendations in an earlier post above, I was responding not to your posts but to @Caligirl57? If you must use a PPI, I certainly would advise taking the lowest dose that is effective for you.

I am with new gi and new pcp but im falling apart because blood work is fabulous.Im so ANGERY.I have reached out to my local representative, in Stanislaus but its just weekly stuff.Im going to need to physical go down there.Any recommendations on what to say and do because this is absolutely ridiculous. If I didn't have my husband though we are really hurting with one income, I would absolutely be one of the homeless population. Thats alarming begging to be heard about a diagnosis that was given as an adult and dealing with this, medical needs to stick to patients regardless of switching insurance or doctor.
