For those of us who can remember. Who is you favorite skit or character? It was just as classic as MASH and I am so suprized that it has not been re-visited.

I used to mimic "Edith-Anne" to my girls when they were growing up, and they begged for more. "And thatth's the truthff".

Anyone have similar experiencth's :P or good memories. (I bypassed spellcheck)

Goosey,

Well......I just googled the years, it ran from '68 to '73, so I was about 11 when it ended....I watched it with my parents every week, I remember I thought Goldie Hawn was just the groooooviest, bay-bay, but I can't remember too many specifics.......like most of my childhood, actually

But seriously, there SHOULD be a remake! Great idea!

My favorites were Goldie Hawn and the telephone operator (I thought you name was Ernestine).

OMG Lisa--thanks for bringing up Laugh-In!!!

I was in junior high when it was on, and my friends and I would always talk about it the next day in Earth Science

I loved Ernestine, the telephone operator. Remember how she used to talk to "Mr. Veedle" and snort? So funny!

Guhlia Rising Star

That was SUCH a good show! I used to watch reruns as a little girl and I just thought it was the funniest show ever. Here's a site with a bunch of Laugh In pictures, I thought you guys would get a kick out of it. Open Original Shared Link

Thanks, Angie :D

I almost forgot about the "Fickle Finger of Fate Awards"! :P

Ooh--And "Uncle Al"--too funny

I was 10 in 73 ... I always liked Goldie Hawn. I liked when they'd be behind those doors and open them to chat. I also liked "Here comes the judge" and, well, everything else that was mentioned!

I wonder if there are some clips on YouTube? That would be a Blast!!

I used to imitate Edith Ann to my friends to make them laugh. Later I would do her to my boys when they were little. I'd put my hair in pig tails and put lip stick outside my lips. Then did the one where she says, My brother had the chicken pox last week...I took a black magic marker and connected all the dots................... and thats the truth, blllliiiibbpppiibbb

There a commercial out now that has music that they used to play on laugh in. See if you can recognize it. I don't remember what advertiser it is right now.

The absolute classic moment in Laugh-In history was President Nixon popping out and saying, "Sock it to me?"

Well, he got his wish. (a non-political statement, just historical)

Celiac disease is the most likely cause, but here are articles about the other possible causes:

Hi @Atl222 As @trents points out, there could be many reasons for this biopsy result.  I am interested to know, is your gastroenterologist concerned?  Also, are your blood tests showing steady improvement over the years? I remember when I had my last biopsy, several years after diagnosis, mine came back with with raised lymphocytes but no villous damage, too! In my own case, my consultant wasn't remotely concerned - in fact, he said I might still get this result even if all I ever did was eat nothing but rice and water.   My coeliac blood tests were still steadily improving, albeit slowly, which was reassuring.

Welcome to the celiac.com community, @Atl222! Yes, your increased lymphocytes could be in response to oats or it could possibly be cross contamination from gluten that is getting into your diet from some unexpected source but not enough to damage the villi. And I'm certain that increased lymphocytes can be caused by other things besides celiac disease or gluten/oats exposure. See attachment. But you might try eliminating oats to start with and possibly dairy for a few months and then seek another endoscopy/biopsy to see if there was a reduction in lymphocyte counts.

This is a solid, well-reasoned approach. You’re right that “koji” by itself doesn’t indicate gluten status, and the risk really does come down to which grain is used to culture it. The fact that you directly contacted Eden Foods and received a clear statement that their koji is made from rice only, with no wheat or barley, is meaningful due diligence—especially since Eden has a long-standing reputation for transparency. While the lack of gluten labeling can understandably give pause, manufacturer confirmation like this is often what people rely on for traditionally fermented products. As always, trusting your body after trying it is reasonable, but based on the information you gathered, your conclusion makes sense.
