How do you resist? The first thing I do when I get my stuff is peel all the tape off each container and test all the colors on some part of my skin...hand..face..whatever :lol: Is that not a normal thing to do??? :unsure: LOL

Yeah, I've already received somewhere around 23 colors, lol.

I have to admit that it never occurred to me that I should test them on my arm or hand, lol. Since I don't wear full eye makeup a lot, it might take me years to work through all the colors I have if I wait for my eyes, lol.

While we are posting about using blushes as eye colors, I will mention that I have done it with mostly good results. Jump rope and text message work really well. I tried it with chit chat, though, and it was way too much. I looked like I was posessed and my eyes were going to fly off of my head. I won't be doing that again. :lol: I ordered favorite hoodie in a sampler kit on my last order to try it because of what you beautiful and oh-so-experienced makeup mavens have said about it.

Just got a text message that my order is in SLC.......

Ya know that problem you're having with eye shadow? I'm having that same problem with blush. The perfect shade has not yet manifested itself...good thing I have six more colors at home to try before I give up :lol:

Julie...was it you who mentioned browns (can't remember...it was like a whole page ago lol)...you might want to give daydream a try (maybe a sample?) I haven't worn it on my face yet, but on my hand (LOL) it's a nice pinky, earthy brown....

I just put "everyday minerals" into the main search box (yeah, I actually searched for it :ph34r:). I wasn't too surprised to see it had a group though.

Yay! Thank you for the good wishes, I got mine about an hour ago. I won't be able to try them for a little while because I'm way behind schedule today and need to exercise first.

Just some useless ramblings and factoids :lol:

I figured out that there are 30 more eye colors to order...13 of those are already in my cart, so amongst all of that I should surely find my perfect colors, lol. :lol: I also have a lot left to try at home...probably at least 11 that I haven't even opened yet. And, I need to revisit a lot of the ones I've already tried. I hardly wear the full eye makeup anymore so it's hard to fit them all in, lol.

I've received 9 blushes, tried 8 of them and loved all 8, lol. New Car Smell is the only one I haven't tried...that's up tomorrow. Think so far, Pink Ribbon is still my favorite.

Sounds like you have a lot of playing to do! And wow, you will have all their colors in no time. ;)

So with my new order the lineup for today is:

Morocco - eye liner and mid crease eye shadow, Diary - for the eye lid and Light Pink on the brow

Medium - matte foundation

Cookie Sheet - little scary looks kind of dark in the jar

Lips - Siesta

Finishing - Natural Reflections Pink - (oooooh, so pretty)

I'm so excited, all the colors look great. Text Message looks dark for a blush. Cypress looks promising. Photo Album, Cookie Sheet and Text Message all look like dark blushes in the jar. I'm really nervous about those! Ooooh and I have Apple, it looks great in the jar!

Well ladies, I have some playing to do, ta ta for now! B) (we need a smiley with makeup on!)

Im glad u got yours, have fun playing with it. Have to post how u like it all for i can live threw u today lol. Does dhl deliver on saturday cause if they do i have a chance of maybe getting it then, if noti have to wait til tuesday since monday is an holiday, ughhhhhh

I don't know...I didn't think they delivered on Saturday, but I could be wrong. Hope I'm wrong. Actually, I hope you get yours tomorrow and then it won't matter. :P

well dhl says ill get it on 1/21, but 1/21 is an holiday so i really dont think i will get it. I guess i will have to go half nekkid all weekend with hubbys family lol.

Thanks for the welcome to the cult! :) I just placed my order for the free kit plus the baby kabuki brush. I think I am in the "cool" shades for foundation so I chose multi-tasking, medium-fair and ? I picked Jump Rope for my blush and Mint for concealer.

This all started because my friend, who works for Clinique, is allergic to their eye shadows. When I saw this thread, I emailed it to her. I wonder if she's sent off for her sample yet.

Wow, that is a relief! I was beginning to get worried. That dark side and unsacred practices dabbling is a scary thing. :lol:

I'm going to Ft. Lauderdale! My BF and I go every year, he plays lacrosse in a big tournament there each year. We are there for a week.

Um...I confess that is what I did. See I put it all on because I was supposed to leave by 4:30pm, but the snow here got to be too much so I decided to forego taking the kids to karate and dance and put my makeup on instead, lol! And um...I still have to exercise.

I have no idea what Facebook is, can someone enlighten me?

Also, one caution on the brushes from EM. I got the concealer brush and it smells like glue in the most fowl way. I think it might be wise to wash them all off before we use them on our face. Something I never thought about until this brush wreaked of glue.

The concealer brush and eyeshadow brush are great and work really nice. I am in love with brushes!

Can anyone tell me how the Baby Kabuki compares in size to the Long Handled Kabuki? I'm curious about that.

Ok, I'm off to exercise for real this time, in keeping with my cult duties now that I'm all 'made up' I'm aloud to exercise. :D

Those are the foundation colors I use and I love them, perfect match, great coverage.

Glad you got the kabuki brush too, it really makes a difference with the application.

And bonus points for you, already recruiting members for us!! :lol:

I tried the Siesta and it is a really nice summer color. Light and pretty. I like the Spring Pink also as a summer/spring color because they are both so light.

It hasnt even made it to denver yet, so i know i wont get it anytime soon lol, But i can dream. lol

Facebook is like myspace but much better and more private. You can find old friends and stuff and they have lots of groups you can join. I like it better then myspace And hey if i have one at my age then anyone can lol

Oh, I've never heard of Facebook, but I did hear of Myspace. It's a neat idea, not sure if I would use it though.

The DHL tracking system said my order was in the WACO HUB for 2 full days. The day they finally updated the site was also the day it arrived at my house.

well it just arrived to an city a couple of hours away, i would be excited if it leaves that area then i might get it today, but it still says estimated arrival is monday, so we know that means tuesday, ughhhh.

But i guess at least i know its geting closer lol

multi-tasking foundation in original glo:

I surprisingly really love this foundation formula. It's smooth and pretty and definitely more "glowy." I have oily skin though so we'll see how it lasts throughtout the day.

pots and pans

gorgeous pink eye shadow. love it. I have it on my lips too.

hot chocolate

Slightly shimmery light brown eye shadow. love it.

Starry Eyed

Makes a gorgeous dark brown eyeliner.

Daydream blush

oooh I like this one. The EM website's description is right on..."subtle nude earth tones" or something along those lines. I swiped a bit of light pink blush over it to brighten things up and vioala...a perfectly overdone and overly dramatic face for a casual friday at work LOL. I like it though :lol:

      Thank you so much for your response  Yes it seems as though things get very painful as time goes on.  I'm not eating gluten as far as I know.  However, I'm not sure of cross contamination.  My system seems to weaken to hidden spices and other possibilities. ???  if cross contamination is possible...I am in a super sensitive mode of celiac disease.. Neuropathy from head to toes

      EXACTLY! I was asked yesterday on my LAST video call with Standford and I stated exactly yes absolutely this is why I need the name! One, get proper care, two, not get worse.Im falling apart, stressed out, in pain and just opened email from Stanford stating I was rude ect.I want that video reviewed by higher ups and see if that women still has a job or not.Im saying this because I've been medically screwed and asking for help because bills don't pay itself. This could be malpratice siit but im not good at finding lawyers

      We feel your pain. It took me 20+ years of regularly going to doctors desperate for answers only to be told there was nothing wrong with me … when I was 20 pounds underweight, suffering from severe nutritional deficiencies, and in a great deal of pain. I had to figure it out for myself. If you're in the U.S., not having an official diagnosis does mean you can't claim a tax deduction for the extra expense of gluten-free foods. But it can also be a good thing. Pre-existing conditions might be a reason why a health insurance company might reject your application or charge you more money. No official diagnosis means you don't have a pre-existing condition. I really hope you don't live in the U.S. and don't have these challenges. Do you need an official diagnosis for a specific reason? Else, I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you're diligent in remaining gluten free, your body should be healing as much as possible so there isn't much else you could do anyway. And there are plenty of us out here who never got that official diagnosis because we couldn't eat enough gluten to get tested. Now that the IL-2 test is available, I suppose I could take it, but I don't feel the need. Someone else not believing me really isn't my problem as long as I can stay in control of my own food.

      If you're just starting out in being gluten free, I would expect it to take months before you learned enough about hidden sources of gluten before you stopped making major mistakes. Ice cream? Not safe unless they say it is gluten free. Spaghetti sauce? Not safe unless is says gluten-free. Natural ingredients? Who knows what's in there. You pretty much need to cook with whole ingredients yourself to avoid it completely. Most gluten-free products should be safe, but while you're in the hypersensitive phase right after going gluten free, you may notice that when something like a microwave meal seems to not be gluten-free … then you find out that it is produced in a shared facility where it can become contaminated. My reactions were much-more severe after going gluten free. The analogy that I use is that you had a whole army of soldiers waiting for some gluten to attack, and now that you took away their target, when the stragglers from the gluten army accidentally wander onto the battlefield, you still have your entire army going out and attacking them. Expect it to take two years before all of the training facilities that were producing your soldiers have fallen into disrepair and are no longer producing soldiers. But that is two years after you stop accidentally glutening yourself. Every time you do eat gluten, another training facility can be built and more soldiers will be waiting to attack. Good luck figuring things out.

      This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers.
