Well, I'm satisfied . . . happy even!!! I wouldn't have picked Asia'h yet but I'm very happy to see the other three go. And I will tell ya', they scared me with Michael Johns. By the time they called his name, they hadn't let go of any of the guys and they were "overdue". Yikes!!! . . . I was talking to the TV loudly (not exactly yelling) . . . Not Him!!!!

I am glad Kristy Cook is still there, I loved what she did with that Journey song. John likes Jason with the dreadlocks. I think Ramiele should have went before Asia. I liked Asia. She is very pretty too. I missed the begining with Blake singing, how was he?

Agreed!! Did you notice how upset she was that Danny was off'd? Maybe they bonded over their similar hairstyles.

I missed Blake last night, too.

The night before when she sang Danny was wearing her glasses.....that was odd. Did you see Danny crying too?

I definitely don't like Ramiele. I can't put my finger on it, but I really can't stand watching her perform. I think she should have gone home last night in stead of Asia.

Blake was eh... I'm a huge Blake Lewis fan, love his album, but it was really just mediocre I thought. He looked great though and his dancing was awesome, as usual. I thought he was really off key. I love the song he did though, one of my favorites on the album.

I was surprised that Asia was sent home. I would have preferred Ramiele to go home first too. I was glad that Kristy got to stay another week too. I liked her Journey song! I was yelling at the TV too when Michael's name was called too.

I think Ramiele is a bit of a show off and thats what I don't like. I don't think Chizney is that great either.

I wasn't able to watch the other night but I dvr'd it so I just viewed it.

Blake's new song sounds pretty good. The sound system seemed kind of off though, his mic or something, or maybe it was just me? But I was thinking it might have been a stronger overall if the sound was better.

I'm happy with the final guys. I liked Danny and Luke, but I just like the other guys better. Yay Michael Johns is still in there, I was thinking his age might not get him him the votes from the younger audience members.

The girls, I'm still eh about. I am wondering if the rest of America is confused right along with us  It was kind of strange the two that were voted off.

Is everyone ready for the Top 12 tonight?

I predict Randy will say, "it was just alright for me, a little pitchy, kind of slow in the beginning, but you worked it out in the end".

And I predict Paula will say: "{insert name}, you are so {insert adjective}. You should be so {insert whatever word of the day proud/happy}". And then change her thought in mid sentence.

I hope it's not Michael Johns, he's lovely to look at. Mango and I would be devastated

Jason Castro though has a lot of youg girls crushing on him, I read the AI boards :lol:

We would have been devastated :lol:

And really? (about Jason Castro). Go him! He's such a goofy, yet nice kid. I like him though (he's the one with the long dreds right? ).

OK, I'm totally not a Chikezie fan, but... GO CHIKEZIE EZIE!!!! Wow, he was HOT tonight!!! :)

I soooooo agree!!! I've never particularly liked him, but he ROCKED OUT last night!

I also loved Carly and Amanda.

Howevah...

I know there's a lot of Kristy fans out there, and normally I'm not a hater, BUT... what she did to Eight Days a Week made me throw up in my mouth. It was like a hoedown took The Beatles hostage, and then popped some speed. Seriously, I'm traumatized.

(insert green barfy guy here)

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

I usually like Kristy too, but not last night....you cannot put a country spin on everything!

Amanda did rock last night!

Guhlia Rising Star

Yeah, Kristy sucked last night and I think she'll probably go home tonight because of it. I hope Chikezie keeps rockin' out southern style like that. That was really cool. I think that may have possibly been the best Idol performance ever. I think the only other one that ever blew me away like that was Constantine Mouralis' Bohemian Rhapsody.

Who do you guys think will go? I'm betting it'll either be Kristy Lee Cook or David Hernandez. Possibly Ramiele, trust me, my fingers are CROSSED!!!

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

I am hoping it is Ramiele...I hope Kristy just had a bad song choice.

dlp252 Apprentice

I only saw the first hour, but I totally agree...Chikezie totally rocked. I LOVED what he did, and he looked like he was having a great time.

I don't mind Ramielle, but her song was boring...it was really pretty but I KNEW the judges would be ho-hum. :P

Didn't see Amanda or Kristie, but HOPEFULLY I've got that recorded to watch today.

Agreed . . . Chikezie's performance was one of the bests I've ever seen. I liked him OK before but he moved up my list last night. I hope it wasn't a fluke and he keeps it up. . . although, the stylists need to help him out, I don't thing the green argyle sweater vest was the thing to wear for that song.

I would prefer Ramiele to go but I don't think she will. Her singing was pretty good . . . it was just "too safe" if you know what I mean. I just don't care for her personally.

I thought the worst performance was Kristy. I think she has the best chance of going. I hated that countrified version.

David Archuleta didn't have too good of a night, did he? I don't think he'll win. He just doesn't have enough style . . . yet. Did you guys see that he is the only "teenager" left. And now that the other 6 "teens" have been eliminated, he just stands out as even younger/more immature . . . but he will probably garner all the teeny-bopper and grandmother votes.

My top four (in no particualr order) . . . Carly, Brooke, Jason and Chikezie (based on last night . . . he better keep it up, though, or I'll drop him like a hot potato!! )

dlp252 Apprentice

Okay, so after watching my recording of the last hour of last night's performances, I want two things for next week...

I want Amanda to sing a nice bluezy ballad and Ramiele to rock out, lol.

Don't get me wrong, I like Amanda and like her style, but I'm really wanting to see something a little different from her, and I want Ramiele to break loose and really rock out, lol.

 Good plan.

I wasn't able to rewatch everyone today, but from what I saw I liked Carly, Amanda, Brooke, Chikezie, Jason, David Cook, and of course Michael.

There were some strong performances last night.

This article does not address migraines at all.  Yes, red wine and sulfites are often mentioned in connection with migraine triggers. With me, any kind of alcoholic beverage in very modest amounts will reliably produce a migraine. Nitrous oxide generators, which are vaso dialators, also will give me migraines reliably. So, I think most of my migraines are tied to fluctuations vascular tension and blood flow to the brain. That's why the sumatriptan works so well. It is a vaso constrictor.

Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.

I agree that KAN-101 looks promising, and hope the fast track is approved. From our article below: "KAN-101 shows promise as an immune tolerance therapy aiming to retrain the immune system, potentially allowing safe gluten exposure in the future, but more clinical data is needed to confirm long-term effects."
    • Scott Adams
Thank you so much for having the courage to share this incredibly vivid and personal experience; it's a powerful reminder of how physical ailments can disrupt our fundamental sense of self. What you're describing sounds less like a purely psychological body dysmorphia and more like a distinct neurological event, likely triggered by the immense physical stress and inflammation that uncontrolled celiac disease can inflict on the entire body, including the nervous system. It makes complete sense that the specific sensory input—the pressure points of your elbows on your knees—created a temporary, distorted body map in your brain, and the fact that it ceased once you adopted a gluten-free diet is a crucial detail. Your intuition to document this is absolutely right; it's not "crazy" but rather a significant anecdotal data point that underscores the mysterious and far-reaching ways gluten can affect individuals. Your theory about sensory triggers from the feet for others is also a thoughtful insight, and sharing this story could indeed be validating for others who have had similar, unexplainable sensory disturbances, helping them feel less alone in their journey.
