Celiac Disease Panel Result, What Does This Mean?

Hi, I picked up my lab results, I was wondering if anyone can help explain them. They were done at LabCorp, and read as follows:

Endomysial Antibody IgA Negative

t-Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA 0 reference interval U?mL 0-3 lab 01

Immnoglobulin A Qn, Serum 90

the rest was just blood sugars, and showing my vitamin D levels were low... but that is what it says for the Celiac Disease Panel.....

I just remember though, something about IgA levels, so , should I be concerned?? I was gluten free for almost 2 months when this test was done..thanks in advance!

I'm no expert but being gluten-free for two months coud make it neg. Is there a reference range on the IgA? 90 seems low to me but w/o the range I cant' say.

The last test is your total IgA, and just on the looks of it - you probably are not IgA deficient.

If you have been gluten free for any measurable length of time, your EMA and tTG results are not as accuarate as possible. To be more accurate, you would have had to have been consuming gluten at the time of the test to be more certain in a 'negative.' (It doesn't mean that you do or don't have Celiac - it just means that your risk of a false negative are much higher than if you were eating gluten.)

Hello, the reference range for the Immunoglobulin A, Qn, Serum is 70-400.... can you tell me what that test was for??

Its the total IgA test, and based on that reference range, you are not IgA deficient.
