Lynnie Apprentice

This is my first time here in this chat room. I recently joined this board. Thought I would stop in and say hello and I am hoping to get to know you guys.

I am from Massachusetts but moved to Myrtle Beach in 2002. It's been quite an experience.

My birthday is next week and I am going on 53 years old. Wow...time flies.

Is anyone here from Mass. or SC?

I'm from SC. Two of my siblings are in Massachusetts. We're all from SC, but they've been up there now for 30 years. Talk about time flying...

Hi Lynnie, Nice to meet you! We're just about the same age and recently I've also been wondering where the time has gone.

Glad to have you aboard :D

Hi Lynnie

I'm no where near SC, and no where near as old as Patti (well, OK, I'm actually pretty near as old, but Patti's so wise I'm sure she gets bonus points for that).

But

welcome anyway :P

I see you've already met Jess and Pat, the dears :D

Nice to mee you all! Fluffy...what part of Massachusetts do your siblings live? Wondering if they are anywhere near where I used to live.

And where do you live in SC?

Yes, I will go and check out that Silly thread. Have no idea what it is yet...haven't seen it. But it involves laughter, I'm in.

Lynnie Apprentice

I am looking for the Silly thread. Is it that Tickle me one?

They're both in greater Boston, sister in Brookline, brother in Somerville. I'm in Columbia.

Lynnie Apprentice

Oh wow...I grew up in Everett. Just a few miles away from Somerville. I know that area and the greater Boston area very well.

I miss it there soooo very much. But, I only miss the summers. I feel like you just can't beat the summers in New England no matter where you go. But the winters...hm...that is a while different story. Which is why I moved to begin with. The winters are so brutal. Shoveling snow, and scraping ice is just not something that this body of mine can deal with anymore.

My dream is to have a summer home in Massachusetts someday. That would be wonderful. I don't know if that dream will ever come true, but I will never give up it.

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
