For all my supporters- Been feeling ok the last week or so. My doc is now treating me for both biofilm and parasites so im taking a combination of EDTA, special enzymes and will start Alinia next week..im hoping this will finally bring me relief and address some of the ongoing problems

Aside from that im a bit bummed cause I was $1500 short of my quota for Q1 and will only get 50% of my bonus, but the rest of the yr is looking promising business wise. My boss is still calling me a neurotic jew even though i made it clear several times that i have food allergies...he insists on poking fun at the fact that im so picky w/ food, but not letting it bother me..he's 100 lbs over weight easily and can barely walk up a flight of stairs and eats ding dongs and honey buns for lunch :)

Anyway, trying to hang in there :)

Glad to hear things are looking up for you!! As for missing the bonus, remember you have been sick for a lot of the quarter so by getting SOOO Close that is a pretty big accomplishment in my book. Although not good enough to get you where you wanted to be look at everything you have been through.

As for the boss maybe a note from the dr would help.

Glad to hear things are going well!!

Jason, I think I'm safe to say that everyone on here is rooting for you!!! smile.gif I do hope you get to the bottom of your problems and consistently get to feel better every single day. I can so relate to ignorant people. I just told friends this week (we get together once every week and that involves food) that I am going to do a totally gluten free kitchen (I live alone so why not!) and that I need to buy a bunch of new things including a new toaster...mine works fine but is from the mid-90's...but there is no way I could get the gluteny crumbs out of it. One especially vocal friend thinks I've gone completely off the deep end. Like just open the thingy and shake the crumbs out. Hellooooooo!!! Never mind that she is 5"2" and weighs 190, just had a mastectomy and is about to undergo radiation plus she's on oxygen all the time including a sleep machine at night (the lung problem is something she's had since birth but it certainly isn't doing her any good to carry around that 50-lb. bag of cement ever day). She admits she is obese and lives to eat so please understand I'm not knocking people who are overweight. She also thinks I have a negative attitude and that cross contamination is a joke...in reality I just want to feel better. Another friend said that she heard I was going on that "nasty" diet. I corrected her and said that I will be eating pure wholesome food...something that we should all be doing all the time. So nothing nasty about it. Oh boy! I have my work cut out for me to educate my friends that Celiac isn't the end of the world and that I need to do this to get healthy again. I'm sure none of them have gone to the bathroom 4 or 5 times by 9 a.m. this morning. Right now I'm still consuming gluten waiting for my endo/biopsy on April 9 after having a very positive celiac panel done in mid-Dec. and I'm worse today than I was then. No matter what the results of the endo/biopsy, I'm going gluten free.

Hey Jason, You sound much better than your last post...much more positive and headed in the right direction. We're all in the same boat...some of us are cruising along with the wind in our sails, and some of us are taking on water and trying to figure out where the hole is. And it's easy to get down and feel defeated...I struggle with that every day. But, what matters is that you stay on top of the situation and do everything in your power to get matters under control...to get to a healthy state of being--physically and mentally. That's the goal for all of us. Good luck on your journey. You CAN do it!!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I found myself giggling with happiness as I read how your body reached such spring! And I hope that your current journey is also successful!! Definitely starting the food diary! So many amazing advices. And it’s very scary. It really hits all our soft spots as well as our confidence system. Most doctors I went thought I was underage despite being in my late 20s. Right now I look like am I twelve, but is also this body that’s taking so much, so I might as well love it too! Going to make the necessary changes and stay in this path. Thank you again! 🫶

Thank you so much for the information and kind message! Reading this transformed how I’ve been viewing my efforts and progress. Guess there’s still a lot to celebrate and also heal 😌  Yes, I’ve been taking it! Just recently started taking a multivitamin supplement and separated vitamin D! I also took chewable Iron polymaltose for ferritin deficiency 2 months ago but was unable to absorb any of it.  Thank you again! Hearing such gentle words from the community makes my body and heart more patient and excited for the future.

Your post demonstrates the profound frustration and isolation that so many in the Celiac community feel, and I want to thank you for channeling that experience into advocacy. The medical gaslighting you endured for decades is an unacceptable and, sadly, a common story, and the fact that you now have to "school" your own GI specialist speaks volumes about the critical lack of consistent and updated education. Your idea to make Celiac Disease a reportable condition to public health authorities is a compelling and strategic one. This single action would force the system to formally acknowledge the prevalence and seriousness of the disease, creating a concrete dataset that could drive better research funding, shape medical school curricula, and validate the patient experience in a way that individual stories alone often cannot. It is an uphill battle, but contacting representatives, as you have done with Adam Gray, is exactly how change begins. By framing it as a public health necessity—a matter of patient safety and protection from misdiagnosis and neglect—you are building a powerful case. Your voice and your perseverance, forged through thirty years of struggle, are exactly what this community needs to ensure that no one else has to fight so hard just to be believed and properly cared for.
