I just found out im pregant, im happy and my husband is. I thought I mightn't be able to have another baby so this is a miracle to me. My news of having another baby is darkened by my own mother who is not happy about it. Im married Im almost 26 and I have another little girl and my mom is not happy, its not like im a teenager. Im just really upset right now, how can she not be happy. All I get is your sick, you should have waited. I cant tell anyone about my mom not being happy because they will get mad at her and I dont want that. What can I do?

So happy to hear your good news!

Mothers!!!!! Sometimes, when we cannot love them, we just have to tolerate them  I/m not sure how well you are feeling right now, but if you feel you can cope with another baby, I am sure you can. It's not like you are heading into an unknown experience. I am sure once the baby arrives and she sees all is well she will come around.

Do be sure to maintain good nutrition for the baby if you have not aleady cured all nutritional deficiencies. :)

Im feeling fine, I was just a little tired but Im not the only woman to have more then one child. I know I will be fine and be able for this baby. Im going gluten free, completely strict and be heathly. Thank you, its nice to see someone be happy for this baby. :)

Congrats!!! And I know about the moms...I had a late miscarriage which has really contributed to my depression lately, and all my mom could say was "Thank God"..I'm sure you're a great mom, and your little girl would probably love a sibling :) I'm happy for you and your husband, and don't let people get you down about it!

Congratulations! Once your mom sees that you are doing well with this pregnancy, she will come around. I'm assuming you don't expect her to be your daycare or help financially. Just normal Grandma stuff. :P

Congratulations!

As long as you and hubby are happy about having another baby, that is all that matters. It is your life, not your mothers.

My son and his wife have three children and plan on having more. My thought is that they should have stopped with two. I would never tell them that. It is their lives and they get to choose the size of their family. And yes, I love my new little granddaughter just as much as I love her older brother and sister.

I agree that once she sets eyes on your baby, she'll fall in with him or her. How could she not?

Congratulations! What a great surprise!

I had no idea that mothers could be so mean to their adult children. My Mom died when I was 14 so I don't get to experience the bad or the good. I hope that there is some good. :)

Congratulations!!

Try to interpret your mom's comments as "I love you and I'm worried about you". You are her baby, and she wants you to be healthy and happy.

Congratulations! What wonderful news!

I have a mother that says the same thing and thinks I'm trying to kill myself with every baby I have..even though the pregnancies are healthy and I was healthy. LIke the previous poster said, she is concerned about you and loves you because you are her baby. Hold off for awhile about discussing details, as much as you would love to tell your mom all about it. Give her time to adjust and I'm sure when she sees the baby she will be happy for you again.

congratulations!

My mother had the same attitude when we started trying 10 years ago. For her, the reaction was worry about our financial stability at the time. You are fortunate to have this baby now and that the two kids will be close together in age. Remind yourself that yes your mom loves you even though she can say stupid things sometimes. Take good care of yourself and eat LOTS.

PS. I just found out I'm expecting for the first time about a week and a half ago, so we are probably due about the same time. I figure March 6th for me.

Congratulations! Don't worry about your mom. She'll get over it when you show her that precious new baby.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.

I hope you are on the mend soon. About 1 in 5 people who contracted chicken pox as a child go on to develop shingles in later life - it is not uncommon. There are 5 known members of the herpes virus family including chicken pox that commonly infect humans, and they all cause lifelong infections. The exact cause of viral reactivation as in the case of shingles or cold sores is not well understood, but stress, sunburn and radiotherapy treatment are known triggers. Some of the herpes viruses are implicated in triggering autoimmune diseases: Epstein-Barr virus is suspected of triggering multiple sclerosis and lupus, and there is a case where it is suspected of triggering coeliac disease. As to whether coeliac disease can increase the likelihood of viral reactivation, there have been several cohort studies including a large one in Sweden suggesting that coeliac disease is associated with a moderate increase in the likelihood of developing shingles in people over the age of 50. US 2024 - Increased Risk of Herpes Zoster Infection in Patients with Celiac Disease 50 Years Old and Older Sweden 2018 - Increased risk of herpes zoster in patients with coeliac disease - nationwide cohort study

BFree bread is fortified with vitamins and minerals as is ASDA own-brand gluten-free bread. All the M&S bread seems to be fortified also.
