Do you know if they are going to market this in Canada as well?

This is actually great, but I so disagree on their statement on their current rice crispies and corn pops...

"Kellogg's® Corn Pops and Kellogg's® Rice Krispies might be suitable, depending on gluten sensitivity. Corn Pops have a very small amount of wheat starch added, and Rice Krispies have a small amount of malt flavoring, made from barley. Check with your personal physician to determine if these products are suitable for you."

So annoying. I hate it when misinformation is out there (good that they disclose ingredients). These are so not gluten free as of right now. I hope that when they have their new line the necessary precautions are taken.

I didn't think there was a debate. It is obvious Rice Krispies have gluten.

This would be great if they release really gluten-free Rice Krispies (and they are good)!

Anybody know when we can expect to find these in the stores?

Can you provide a link to the General Mills website?

I really wasn't debating it but I thought the current statement could be misleading is all. I will certainly try their gluten free products when they come out.

Hopefully they won't do a 'Rice Dream' on us and just leave the barley malt off the box because 'it tests at a safe level'. I do so wish they would get the labeling regs to insist that gluten grains other than just wheat be required to be listed when used in any amount or any where in the processing. That would let us make our own choice in relation to our own sensitivity.

Look at that dishonest disclaimer they have right now

"May be suitable" because the Rice Crispies contain only a small amount of barley malt.

Give me 5 minutes in a room with one of their CEOs for an educational experience. Stupid ****. This is why some companies that get sued for misleading consumers actually DESERVE it, and I hate lawyers almost as much as bad manufacturers.

Frustrating. If it's such a small amount of malt flavoring, then why is it necessary to include at all!!

Oh....I didn't mean to start something here.:P

Here is a direct link to their statement on gluten/wheat

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
