Rice Krispie Treat Report

I made a batch of Rice Krispie treats using the new gluten free RK cereal. I used Kraft Jet-Puffed marshmallows. The results are good. The gluten-free RK are a little less crispy and a little less sweet, made with brown rice & sugar, instead of white rice, malt, and sugar.

My older son begrudgingly tried some and declared them to be "fine" (a major endorsement on his part), my wife liked them also. As this was one of my favorite childhood treats I opted for 1/3 of the pan for breakfast on Father's Day. B)

It's cereal - it counts as breakfast! :D

Breakfast is whatever you eat at the start of the day... and yours actually contained a breakfast cereal... sounds perfect to me!

After only 2 hours sleep last night I kicked the day off with some home made chocolate pudding (the custard variety) made with 72% cocoa solids chocolate and lashings of cocoa... a little goes a looooong way ;)

Sorry, I did not see this thread before I posted in the other concerning GLuten Free Rice Krispies. Where did you find these? I have looked in several major cities in my area and have not found these yet.

Purchased mine online because I couldn't find any around town.

At a Hannaford's supermarket in Hudson, MA. I haven't seen them anywhere else, and I rarely get over to that particular store myself so who knows when I'll get more!

I bought a box at Hyvee. Has anyone checked to see if they are made on dedicated equipment? I can't help but to think of all of the other cereal grains flying around the factory.

In NC, I have found them at Bi-Los, Lowes Foods and Walmart. They are 2.98 @ walmart.

My kids found out that Fruity Pebbles and Coco Pebbles are gluten-free too!!! I made Fruity pebbles treats and they were very very very delicious! Very sugary taste if that's what you're craving. My friend found coco pebble treats already made in packages at Basha's in AZ! Everyone ate them before I could try it though:(

I get the Pebbles and Chexs cereals at Wal Mart Super Store in the grocery section.

Awesome. I'm glad they turned out good. Thank you for the report. I have not made them yet, but plan on it.

I found them at the base commissary in San Antonio, Texas. :)

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
