I just discovered that my longtime shampoo has wheat amino acids, so I'm looking for a good shampoo and haircare products to use that are gluten free. I have colored hair, which is why I loved my Revlon Shampoo-it really helped my color last longer. Any suggestions of something to use that's gluten free?

I use Free & Clear shampoo and conditioner, body, lotion, hairspray, liq hand soap and have had no reaction.

Also, Yes to Carrots hair products have worked well for me. Really makes my hair soft and shiny.

I use Shikai for my color-treated hair. They have a 'poo for each shade: reds, brunettes, & blondes. :) I'm not sure if all of their products are gluten free (check the labels), but the products for color-treated hair are ok as far as I can tell.

I've seen wheat listed in some of the Yes to Carrots hair products, so make sure you check the label, if that's a concern.

Thanks, I have not yet had issues with them but I will keep that in mind.

I'm using Wen. A bit pricey, but it's the absolute best I've tried with regard to preserving color and conditioning.

Only the Pomegranate, and the seasonal varieties are gluten free (soy based). The rest are wheat-based.

      Hi there @MCAyr I have a small umbilical hernia which came about during my second pregnancy.   I can just about see it, and feel it, when I stand or sit, but it is far less noticeable when I lie down.  I always know when I am putting on weight because I can get pain and burning near the site, funnily enough not on the hernia itself but either side!  I would imagine bloating could cause the same effect as weight gain. In my case I don't think it is my bowel protruding but a bit of fat  - sorry,  I realise this isn't painting a very pretty picture.  But in truth it is scarcely noticeable.  It has never really got bigger in size. I was rather hoping that it could be operated on but here in the UK they don't seem to operate on every hernia anymore.  My GP isn't remotely worried about it. In a way, I should be thankful - it is like an early warning system that I need to go on a diet! Cristiana

      The hernia description would likely be unrelated to celiac disease, but you'd need to get it checked out by your doctor to be sure it's a hernia.
