  2. wow this sounds delicious! where do you buy the calimari? i live in utah...nowhere near an ocean
  3. I went through this not too long ago, and learned that I really have to plan my food like clockwork, and always have snacks with me. I try and eat some protein (preferably meat of some kind) and a carb every 2-3 hours. I buy a lot of stuff at costco that I can just throw into ziplocs and take with me to work or whereever I go. Hang in there, you'll figure...
  4. OMG seriously!! I once found xanthan gum for really cheap at the HFS, and thought, next time I'll come with more money, and buy a bunch of it. When I went back it was back up to "normal"...about double the price I really have found that buying in bulk is the best way to do it. My local HFS offers pretty much everything in bulk. Almost out...
  5. how frustrating. i hope you can figure out what's bothering you. i would try somewhat of an elimination diet, and cut out big suspects - dairy, soy, corn, etc. i've tried to limit my dairy intake, and that's helped. i take lactaid when i can't resist. it's very hard to feel like you have to cut more stuff out though hang in there!
  6. awesome! cute picture by the way
  7. Ooooh I loved this place in high school! I don't know about the gluten-free dining aspect, but their food rocks! I'd be interested to know if they do serve gluten-free for future visits
  8. Seriously!!! Yeah, too bad they changed that Opportunity to find new faves though And spend extra money on See's Candy!!!
  9. So does anyone know where to find an active list of gluten-free Easter/anytime candy? I might just stick with See's this year My fave anyway! For some reason I've been thinking that Almond Joys are not gluten-free. Thought I read something on a label. Anyone know? Also, what about the mint 3 Musketeers?
  10. Yeah that's what the article said. I"m so excited! We're going tonight!!!
  11. yummy! way to go! me too!!
  12. i've looked into different antioxidant berry supplement drinks. they all sound pretty good, just haven't convinced myself i need to spend the $40 on one. i'd be interested to know if you do buy one and how you like it.
  13. so is this mold harmful to the body, or just causing sensitivity to some people? i've taken lactaid on and off for a few months, and don't seem to have a problem with it.
  14. sweet! we're going out for pizza this weekend! anyone know if just the SLC location of pier 49 serve the gluten-free crust? Or could I potentially find it in Provo?
  15. i've experienced this off and on over the past couple years. it was really bad right before i went gluten-free, but i was also really stressed out. now it's been happening more frequently again, but i don't think i'm that stressed. i might have to try some B supplements. taking everything else. its so annoying though, i feel ya on that one!!
  16. That's so ambitious of you We would all be appreciative. It's always hard to get to every place on your list I know I never do. I'm planning a trip this summer and hope to hit a few of the hot spots!!
  17. Everyone here has posted good ideas. I like the mirror idea, and not wasting space with smaller couches (Tiffany's rant ). Another thought I had was to focus outside the house. Especially if you're claustrophobic, see if you can create a living space in your yard/garden/garage. I don't know what you have as far as that goes, but a nice cushioned bench or...
  18. Funny, I've been craving rye bread too. I rarely ate it pre-gluten-free, but for some reason it's just been on my mind lately Gonna have to print this recipe and give it a try.
  19. after I went gluten-free, I had a hard time digesting dairy. I cut it out of my diet for like 6 months, then slowly brought it back. Was ok for awhile, but now I think I'm starting to react to it again...all I know is lactaid helps, but if I slip up and eat dairy w/out it, I get so sick! Totally annoying!

  22. i love to garden, especially veggies! i also love taking baths, or curling up with a hot bean bag and a good chick flick. sometimes having a sappy-movie-induced-cry is very detoxing
  23. Go to their website Open Original Shared Link and on the right side of the page, click on the "Sample Kit" under Bestsellers. That sends you one of each of their 3 flavors for only $5. I did it and liked 'em all. That way you can decide before you buy in bulk!
