  1. Wow what a yummy picture! Thanks for the suggestions! I tried the recipe a month or so ago and it collapsed...well, actually i don't think it ever rose. But it wasn't gooey in the middle, and still tasted good, if a little thick. I think reading all the suggestions here would help to refine the recipe where you could get it to turn out. Good luck...
  2. i subbed it into a recipe for chicken and dumplings YUM!
  3. i also have very "gluten-like" symptoms when it comes to that time of the month. kind of annoying. and i agree with everyone who said you should cut out dairy for a few months. i did and it helped so much. then i was fine adding it back into my diet for awhile. now a year later, wondering if it might be bothering me. that or soy. welcome to the forums by...
  4. good to know
  5. no red flags to me. but if there's a website or a number where you can get ahold of someone, that would be best, just to verify.
  6. Thanks y'all! The book is fascinating! I really don't mind the charting and stuff, just trying to learn how to diagnose my "symptoms". Anyone know a non-TMI way of helping me figure out my cervical position? Can't really tell up from down in there Guess that would be considered TMI to most. Sorry Thanks for all the feedback. I would worry about an...
  7. yes he is the expert or you can do a las vegas restaurant search here, there've been a few postings. i've been twice since dx, and haven't had a problem. most of the restaurants are pretty accomodating too. they get people from all over, with all sorts of requests, so i think they're a little more understanding.
  8. I had the same reaction my first time. The only ones I could really tolerate were the cinnamon and apple ones. I do like kind bars as well. Lots of nuts and fruit, but more nuts I had to stop eating them though, because I have bad TMJ problems, and they're kinda crunchy. LOL! These ones are pretty decent, I only REALLY like the chocolate...
  9. lol haven't really looked into low-estrogen pills. talked with 2 doctors who both said that b/c i haven't had kids yet, they don't recommend an IUD. I guess it can cause some sort of infection or irritation that can lead to permanent damage of the uterus in women who haven't been pregnant before. I'll have to do that. Thanks. Yes, I refer back...
  10. i've been craving a panini! might just have to make one myself here's the recipe i am now hooked on, which i will use for my panini! Open Original Shared Link let us know how it turns out!
  11. lol exactly what my husband said
  12. So I've been on BC for the last 4 1/2 years, and in that time my intimite life with my husband has suffered. My mom thinks its because of our relationship with each other, as did one of my therapists that I saw a year or so ago. My husband thinks it might be hormonal, and we've been researching other methods to not get pregnant. I've read a bit about FAM...
  13. ....so is this a yes? sorry, brain foggy day
  14. Another cause that wasn't mentioned in the article posted, is damage to the temporomandibular joint (the jaw joint). I work for a TMJ disorder doctor, and we get a lot of patients in who have ringing in their ears. This can be caused by pressure from the joint pushing on the eustachian tube (the ear area), or from inflammation in the area. Here are a couple...
  15. i bet we all do
  16. hm, i'm guessing this is true
  17. Congrats! That's awesome!!!
  18. anyone know if this was the problem? wanted to make another loaf tonight...
  19. i've only been on the probiotics a couple weeks, and haven't really noticed a difference either way. i might try what Tiffany said, and cut out my supplements when i go on the elimination diet, and add them back in to see if i have any allergic/sensitivity reactions to them. i'm really starting to think that this diet is the only way for me to figure out...
  20. mmm, i love cream cheese frosting!
  21. Owww! Actually did something similar to my hand the other day. Not fun
  22. that's what I thought too.
  23. I'll have to test out my supplements. Yeah, I read that article, and showed it to my husband. Freaked me out. We talked about it, thinking about the options. Parts of our relationship have been strained, and I'm wondering if being on BCP has had something to do with it. What's a good site/book/etc to learn more about FAM? Definitely worth looking into IMO...
  24. never tried any of their recipes, but I do love the company. i've gone through several boxes of the stuff!
