  1. I buy all my flours in bulk from my health food store
  2. Hey! As far as vegas goes, i was just there a month ago, and had some great dining experiences. We went to jimmy buffet's margaritaville - had a great seafood salad there. Ate at the rainforest cafe - had a great cedar salmon. Read somewhere that their fries are safe, but when I was ordering, the chef didn't mention them. That would be something to ask...

  7. I use Kraft Shrimp Cocktail Sauce, and I also use Walmart brand Worsterschire sauce.
  8. I got my mom hooked on Wildfire, which is an ABC Family show about a horse ranch. Since she raised horses when I was a kid, she loves it! This year, I'm trying to find all the songs on the show, and make a mixed tape for her (every time i used the letters C and D together, it automatically changed them to say "celiac disease"...not really still using...
  9. These guys make a lot more candy than I thought they did. Some good stuff here: Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link (second link is where they state that everything they make is gluten-free. Just discovered this and was so excited!!)
  10. Yep, as long as they get it right. I'm curious to see how she talks about Celiac disease in her book.
  11. How frustrating! First of all, I stopped eating Amy's foods. I was getting sick almost every time I did. That could be one solution. Another is, I do all this: I also use a paper towel to open the refridgerator/microwave, as well as the door to the lunch room. I then wash my hands after preparing all my food (nuking it and putting it at my desk. Sounds...
  12. I line all my baking pans with foil, but that's just because mine are old and cheap, and all stained up I only got rid of my wooden spoons, and some really old scratched pans. Every thing else I just scrubbed and dishwashed a few times before using. Haven't had any problems. I try and keep things separate in my kitchen, but it's tough...
  13. One trick is to not have those things in the house. It means you get to stand in front of the open fridge every night looking for something sweet, but if the goodies aren't there, you find something else to satisfy your hunger. I've started replacing my sweets with fruit. I love a small bowl of frozen strawberries or blueberries, especially in the evening...
  14. Hm, how about a mexican casserole, with meat of your choice, tomato sauce, salsa or enchilada sauce, rice, corn and beans. I'd do it without the bean b/c I don't eat 'em anymore. Crumble some cheese and chips on top. Or a variation I really like is an enchilada casserole: Open Original Shared Link Or a spaghetti casserole with rice noodles instead of rice...
  15. Yeah, it wasn't in that first article I read it twice. I personally don't know the difference between almond meal and flour. I have made Ursa's Black Forest cake, and that recipe calls for processed almonds. Don't even know if that's the same thing as the above, but I REALLY liked the addition. Very subtle. The nuts get soft in the cake...
  16. Cute pic! I might have to make some covered strawberries this weekend

  21. i've been using lactaid fast act pretty regularly over the last couple months and wonder if i could build up an immunity to it or something? i feel like it's not working as well as it used to anyone have any thoughts?
  22. If you ever find that...hook me up!!! My motivation to go the gym is to NOT get asked if i'm pregnant anymore. I was just thinking this morning as I was getting ready for work, "hm, I think I look skinnier." Then a patient had the nerve to ask me if I was expecting! They always default to "Oh, I thought I remembered someone in the office being pregnant...
