    ARCHIVED Igg Testing

Thanks Andrea. The summary from your doc makes it pretty easy to understand.
  3. While I wait for my follow-up with gastro doc, I am wondering about the preliminary IgG results he sent me. I was reactive to wheat, oats, yeast and rice. Prior to testing I was consuming rice daily in some form or another, yeast a few days a week, gluten-free for 16 months, and off corn and dairy to the best of my ability for the previous 6 weeks. Corn and...
  4. Depression, anxiety and rage = yup, me too. Weird how it just blinks off. So happy when it does.
  5. Ditto both of the above. Must pre-hydrate and re-hydrate well afterwards. If any kind of bug is brewing in you, it will surface during or after massage. Do not get massage if you have a cold or feel questionable. Not saying that you did, it's just a general warning. Lots of toxins are released during massage.
  6. Oops! So sorry, and thanks for the correction. I'm in post-endoscopy/colonoscopy mode this evening and feeling rather fuzzy.
  7. Open Original Shared Link It's all right here folks.
  8. I've found this in cheddar and cheddar jack flavors. It's ok - it melts. I wouldn't eat it cold on anything.
  9. 40 can be a very normal time to start menopause. Menopause can take up to 10 years to fully manifest, and periods stop. You are considered post-menopausal when your periods have completely ceased for one year. All of my gluten issues and menopausal symptoms hit hard right when I turned 40. Because it all started at once, my doctor and I assumed it was all...
  10. Night sweats are common in those w/ gluten issues. Mine lessened considerably since going gluten-free. They can also be hormone-related.

    ARCHIVED Need Help Asap

Yes - stop using it, and go ahead and check to see if it really is gluten-free. Think about what is causing your pain. Many foods cause joint pain. I gave up ibu after I went gluten-free for the exact reasons you are stating - it made things worse instead of better. It's really hard on the gut and can contribute to leaky gut, and you don't want to go there...
  12. Soy - seems the most likely Corn - possible Potatos - maybe, but more suspicious if you had joint pain too. Vodka - can be hard on the gut and cause dizziness and fog; some can't tolerate it very well after going gluten-free. I saw someone on this forum recently ask about the Starbucks drink and it's gluten-free status. Not sure what the verdict...
  13. For me it seems that anything that is going to hurt/throb/ache/tingle/swell/annoy me in or on my body will happen on my left side. This is true both pre & post gluten-free.
  14. With my recently developed intols to soy, corn and dairy, I find that soy oil in particular causes immediate symptoms, and bad ones. Unfortunately all of these foods seem to be in everything! I wonder how many women - because they are the ones who have been primarily urged to use it to combat meno symptoms and increase cardiac health - suffer more problems...
  15. Hey Karma, How long have you been gluten-free? It can take some time to feel better, especially since you have other damage. Do you have your own pots, pans, cooking utensils and cutting board? If not, you could be getting some cross-contamination. Is your family supportive of this life-change you are undertaking? It is important that they are for so...
  16. Yes, VC tends to be cheaper for gluten-free items. Make sure to repackage OTB's crackers immediately after purchase, especially graham crackers. They go soggy/stale very fast if you don't!
  17. Open Original Shared Link has many gluten free soups. This link goes directly to their Special Diets Gluten Free list, and they have much more to offer than soups. (oops - sorry - double post)

  19. I had negative blood tests (had been gluten-free 2 weeks at the time), no biopsy and have been gluten-free for 16 months. Positive dietary response is all I need to confirm that for me, gluten is poison. My doc wrote "non-celiac gluten sensitive" in my chart. I don't feel the need to know anything beyond what I already know.
  20. I'm glad to see this thread. At 15 months gluten-free I've started having problems similar to, but not identical to a glutening. Through minimal trials and a food diary I realize that milk, and to some degree cheese, cream, and products w/ dairy in them are giving me fatigue, mood swings, joint pain and bloating. I assume this is a casein intolerance and...
  21. My script changed a bit after going gluten-free, but the BEST thing is that my night vision has improved dramatically. However, one of my glutening symptoms is inability to focus, fatigue and itchy eyes.
  22. There are a few threads on this forum about Denver area dining and shopping. Do a search on "Denver" and they should come up. It's nice here - welcome!

No need to sneak food in - they don't care if you bring your own, at least, not the 2 dozen times I've done so.
  24. Positive bloodwork can be enough of a diagnosis - if you want it to be. Meaning that you don't have to get the biopsy unless you want to be darn sure. Even then, doctors often do not take enough samples and come back with a negative diagnosis. Heck, there are tons of people out here who don't have a diagnosis, but have found a new and healthy life living...
  25. I get this symptom when glutened. Hard to focus, sensitive to light, blurry vision.
