Go ahead and talk to your doctor about it. DO NOT just stop taking the med without talking to your doctor first. You may need to taper off the drug. Tapering would also, I think, let you know if your anxiety med is still needed. For some of us anxiety resolves gluten-free but for others the diet doesn't make much difference. -

Welcome to the board. I don't think your just making it up. Are you aware that gluten reactions are often delayed? It can take up to a week for a reaction to happen after you go back on gluten. A few folks will react right away but definately not everyone. -

I forgot to mention in my last post that if you by chance have an allergy to dust or other particles like pet hair etc. a mask can be helpful. You can get them in most hardware store in the paint dept. Really not a concern. I don't think most, if any, detergents have gluten ingredients. I use a detergent free of perfumes and dyes but that is because of allergies to some scents. If you have a dust allergy then dusting may bother you but I doubt that dust would be a gluten risk other than flour dust. -

I like the Udi's bread. Snyder's gluten free pretzels are good, especially with Kraft Cheddar jar cheese. Welcome to the board. IMHO it sounds like you are in the right place. Don't go gluten free until you are done with celiac related testing. Once celiac testing is done then go strictly gluten free for at least a couple months no matter what the results. I bet your feeling a lot better after a bit gluten free but it can be up and down for a bit at first. -

In addition to keeping a journal of what you are eating and how you are feeling you should also keep a log of what you are cooking that is not gluten free. Some of us also have an allergy to wheat but as has been said gluten needs to either be injested or come into contact with the mucous membranes to cause the antibody reaction. I hope they start doing this test routinely with all endos including those on folks still on gluten. I imagine there are a lot of folks with the label gluten intolerant because of negatives endos that would have been diagnosed celiac instead. -

I would be interested to know what the total IGG was. Your high IGA is a significant finding especially since your total IGA was pretty low. Do give the diet a good strict go for at least a couple months when you are done with testing. -

No worries about the oatmeal unless some of it was floating around in the air or if you had a large fresh cut on your foot that it got in. Gluten can not penetrate the skin but is absorbed by mucous membranes. Did you feel better on the two months you were gluten free? After being gluten free for two months you needed longer back on gluten for testing. If you want retesting go back to gluten for at least another two months and test again. But if you feel better gluten free go back to it after the testing is over. Your body knows the answer.

You might want to make the appointment and do make sure to bring your records from your current doctors with you. Talk to the doctor about whether there is a need to rebiopsy when you get there.
