  1. Also, look up online, printable coupons for the Rice Chex, they're available for 1.00 off 2 boxes. You can print and use as many as you want per 2 boxes. later-sorry, I looked it up and the coupon was on last week. They have new items this week. There is a coupon for $.55 off enjoylife products though. couponsdotcom
  2. There's no way I would take the chance. My dd had to skip her field trip last week because the farm they went to uses wheat straw everywhere, and she's had a violent reaction in the past. You could look up other areas in your town that may have a "parade of lights", there are a lot of neighborhoods that do this. You could also try calling the farm, talk...
  3. That totally stinks that the other mom is being such a pain in the arse! Individually wrapping the brownies is a good idea. To prevent the ice cream from cc, you could have 1 designated for the waffle bowl and one for the brownie. To compromise, you could get cookies and cream ice cream instead of the oreo's to prevent the crumbs. You could use the gluten...
  4. I'm so glad you liked it!! I'm going to make it again for my son's playdate tomorrow. I will give my kids the option to try it on their "spiderweb" pancakes tomorrow too!
  5. There are some Amy's products that say "gluten free" on the box-ie rice mac and cheese, and some that say "no gluten ingredients" -rice lasagna. We don't buy the ones that say "no gluten ingredients" and have never had an issue. My dd is super sensitive and has never had a reaction.
  6. Icing or frosting? For icing, you can just use powdered sugar, vanilla and liquid of your choice to get to the right consistancy-water, juice, etc...
  7. There's a recipe on the Pamela's website that actually uses the bread mix-without the yeast-it is the easiest, yummiest sugar cookie. It really rolls out like a dream, not sticky at all.
  8. Update: I made these again for a brunch yesterday, I made 1 pan of the original recipe and in an attempt to be a little healthier, I cut the butter I had added to the filling (1/2 stick) to just brushed on, so maybe 1-2tbs, and then I added a mixture of 1 apple finely chopped, 1/2c brown sugar and 1.5tsp cinammon as the filling. I didn't use the icing either...
  9. Here's the gluten-free candy list for 2008-they're supposidly all safe except the crispy and poppables Open Original Shared Link
  10. But that was from 2006, may want to check if updated. I'll see what I can find. later- Here's a bit, look at the product info and ingredient list- Open Original Shared Link BUT, here's their CYA statement: Open Original Shared Link We consider snickers an "emergency OK" and occasional treat for my kids and have never had a reaction (from any...
  11. I don't have any experience with the egg replacer, but I would think it would be fine to use. Someone else who reads this might have more info. I've never used the gelatin either... Sorry
  12. Hi Dawn, I never use the chickpea or garfava flour, I don't like the taste either. I use my own flour blend-I posted it on the cinammon roll thread-for the flours listed. I think you can also use water for milk (whatever kind of milk you want). I know the bread recipe I use says you can use either. I find this recipe to be pretty forgiving, it's always...
  13. I also need to specify I use this flour blend for all of my yeast bread recipes. I use the Pamela's for everything else. When I use my own blend, I have to add the xanthan, b.powder and soda. I haven't yet tried to alter a regular yeast bread recipe, only a defined gluten-free one. I've read too many bad experiences trying to alter a reg. gluten recipe...
  14. Well, they were a huge hit! The kids looked at me like I was crazy, giving them "candy" for breakfast, but since we only do sweet breakfasts Christmas morning, I suppose this was OK My own flour blend has 7 different flours in it, I order 25# bags of flour from Bob's Redmill and I make up this blend and store extra gallon bags in the freezer-I like...
  15. Someone brought these super dry store bought cinammon rolls into work today and I wondered if the gluten-free cinammon roll had been tackled successfully--apparently it has been mastered. I found this recipe, looked good, pretty easy, I made them tonight-20 minutes prep time, that's it. These are some of the best rolls I've ever had! Here's a challenge...
  16. If it helps, I learned from martha stewart that you don't need a sifter to sift. The new "sifter" method is actually a wire wisk! I do this with every recipe to incorporate multiple dry ingredients.
  17. Just a note, even if they put it in your chart or mark it in bold black on the outside of the file (like my dd's)--still call a week in advance to remind them because if the file doesn't get pulled until the day of (paper or electronic), there may be an issue.
  18. I totally second ordering the free kit if you've never ordered from them before. It's hard to pick just the right color from a tiny little color swatch that can differ from computer to computer. You can't beat paying 3$ish for shipping and having at least a month's worth of makeup (that's how long mine lasted). It worked out really well for me, I found...
  19. Thank you so much for posting your research, it really helps a ton! I love the bedhead stuff, but haven't purchased in a long time because they didn't know. Kudos to you for stepping up and getting them to notice! Keep us posted
  20. Our dd was 4 when she was tested, the only noticable symptoms were bloated belly and severe cramps after eating a high gluten meal, her blood tests were positive and her biopsy was visually positive (pathology confirmed), BUT, our son was tested at 2yo, he had no symptoms other than he was growing at a very slow rate maintaining 10% in height and weight....
  21. I can only recommend for DQ-they mix their milkshakes on the same machine as the blizzards, high risk for cc. We go for just the soft serve in a dish, no toppings.
  22. You should write a little email to customer service to voice your frustration. I wonder if more people did that regularly, especially when a regularly purchased item changes formula-good or bad-companies might pay more attention. Maybe wishful thinking on my part. I'll send an email to them. We are regular buyers of their products too.
  23. I use the Neutrogena acne soap and facial scrub and clinique moiturizure-the oil free gel.
  24. If you're looking for Halloween themed recipes, here are a few of my fav's (my kids like them, so I'm sure teenagers would too....) freaky eyeball appitizer Open Original Shared Link snake eyes--sub liqueur for almond extract Open Original Shared Link sweet spread/fruit dip (really yummy!!)-served in hollowed pumpkin would be cute Open Original...
  25. These look pretty close-I made some today-and at least once every 2 weeks : Open Original Shared Link
