  1. I think there are some gluten-free pizza places in Arizona, too, Monica.
  2. Pretty much anything cannot be trusted to be 100% gluten-free that is produced. This is based on facilities and where they get their ingredients. Plus, if you ever eat out that is a close call, too. If a company tests for gluten and it passes their tests that id good in my opinion but it all depends on your reaction to. It is all so confusing, MajicBunnies...
  3. I know that for a blood test or colonoscopy you need to have eaten gluten. Sometimes a true diagosis helps people not cheat but it really does not matter in the end unless you need the official word, BritChick. Good luck!
  4. I believe that being gluten-free can be a lifestyle choice. I support those who do not have Celiac Disease and go gluten-free whether for their health or for their friends/loved ones who has Celiacs. Good for you for finding the source of your problems, Sam! Good luck and do feel free to come here for recipes and other discussions, Sam Caine1!
  5. How old is your daughter? If she makes sure to order or look for fresh fruit or salads and takes a few things in a bag she should be fine for two days. That's the best way to ensure she does not get sick. Hopefully, it will all be okay regardless and she should have a lot of fun on her trip. Good luck!
  6. We all feel like that sometimes. It can be helpful to talk to a therapist or even other local Celiacs, Walter S. Eating and drinking anything you want won't help you feel better. It is okay to not know what your life is about or what to do. Everyday is new and we are bound to be mad and depressed for a lot of them. If you cannot get out of it I really...
  7. You should ask her what state she is from (India has states, too). It's good that you were kind to her.
  8. I like Kinnikinnick English Muffins.
  9. Wow! Deepdish?
  10. I have not found it too hard to be a vegetarian with Celiac Disease. Franklin Farm veggie burgers are the best. Good luck to your son, Heidi!
  11. Courtlynn, I e-mailed Wet'n'Wild to ask about gluten and animal testing and I got an e-mail back. She said that the only product containing gluten is #890 Megawink Mascara and that they do not test on animals! They have new formulas on some things though so e-mail them to be sure- I think I will, too. They responded fast when I e-mailed them.
  12. I believe they fry their onion rings in with their fries but I could be wrong.
  13. That's exciting, MaddiesMom.
  14. They responded saying their cheese is not gluten-free? Whey would make it not dair/casein free but it should be gluten-free. How interesting. Ar eyou sure that's what they said, not gluten-free?
  15. Blood tests can come out wrong. If your daughter does well on a gluten-free diet then you know to keep her on it. A lot of people have luck with elimination diets and allergen testing. Good luck, ChocolateLover.
  16. Thank you, DebMidge.
  17. As long as you make them with gluten-free ingredients, you can eat a lot of the same things you did before like pasta, french toast, brownies, and cake. Asianand Mexican recipes offer a lot of gluten-freeness, too. I recently tried my first risotto and it said gluen-free on the box.
  18. I liked that their products said gluten-free (and vegan) right on the boxes. I have never had risotto and bought the Florentine Spinach & Mushroom. My brother and I thought it was all right and I am thinking about trying some of their other flavours. I found them at Kroger.
  19. I am on the side that if being on a gluten-free diet makes you feel better then why go through the tests and the gluten challenge? In the end it is up to you and I wish you the best, TummyAche! Oh, and gluten-free can be mouth watering.
  20. I do not know of any but have fun in Disneyland!
  21. That is great that he was diagnosed, K. If your kid has Celiacs oh well, right? It is better to know when you are young and it is not all that bad to follow the diet plus it your kid will not have to suffer for years. Not all deli cuts are safe and some gluten-free pasta is delicious. The recipe section of this site has a lot of yummie ideas for lunches...
  22. Have you been gluten-free? If the diet works for you then stick with it regardless of what the test says.
  23. So, tonight my brother and I (both Celiacs) went to this restaurant (Near I-75 right off of I-285). It was delicious and so spicy! We talked to the manager and I had brought a dining card, so, he took it to the chef and they decided what we could have. I needed gluten, dairy, and animal free food while my brother needed just gluten-free. When the manager...
  24. Good luck, Stephanie!
