  1. Takala, how long under the broiler? Also, do you cook these like pancakes? Thanks.
  2. Takala, I have no doubt you are probably a very good cook and can probably add a little of this and a little of that and everything comes out awesome. Thanks for writing this up. I think I understand your directions better this time. Question: So, are you saying to cook this in a heated, but not too hot, frying pan with a little oil in the bottom sorta like...
  3. Thanks, Lisa. I will try it soon and let you know how it goes and what kind of flour I use
  4. I never ate cinnamon raisin bread pre-gluten-free either
  5. This looks relly good. What kind of pan do you bake it in?
  6. The only one I like is Rudi's cinnamon raisin toasted. Absolutely can barely even eat Betty Crocker's yellow gluten-free cake mix because it tastes so bad. The brownies are great! But, that's not bread. Am looking forward to trying Rudi's multigrain bread very much.
  7. Lisa, also I have a killer cornbread recipe that someone posted on here as Old Southern Granny's Cornbread - perfect everytime. It does not have flour in it. I just made some and it's cooling downstairs. Two changes: I use a medium frying pan and mix 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar with regular milk to equal one cup, scant, and wait for about 5 minutes...
  8. Are you saying you use equal parts of those three gluten-free flours? No salt? No baking powder? What do you use for liquid?
  9. I was going to post these recipes, searched for them in my Word docs and realized all three are recipes I either modified to make them gluten-free or just printed out from a recipe site. If anyone wants them, just let me know and I'll type them up for you.
  10. I would think you could substitute 1/2 cup of rice flour or *Bette Hagin's rice mix and 1 t. xanthan gum and you would be all set. Please share the recipe with us if it's not too much trouble to type up. Thanks! *3 cups White Rice Flour (or Brown Rice Flour) 1 cups Potato Starch 1/2 cup Tapioca Flour
  11. My favorites are pumpkin bars, blonde brownies, and chocolate cake. What are your favorites?
  12. Hi everyone, Every allergy medicine I have ever taken has made me spacey and enhanced my otherwise light case of ADD. I get very high after drinking around 4 oz. of wine. Suffice to say, I do not drink at social gatherings anymore, or even at home, b/c I become extremely talkative and opinionated and sometimes say things I would not normally say. Is...
  13. Tomato sandwich on Rudi's cinnamon raisin toast, snow peas, and potato chips.
  14. It all sounds so good--especially the chive bread.
  15. I tried a sample of Against the Grain's pizza at Whole Foods several months ago and have never been able to find one in their freezer pizza section since. So good! By far the best gluten-free frozen pizza I have ever eaten.
  16. How about applesauce with cinnamon, Chex cereal with apple juice if you can't have dairy, ginger ale,
  17. This looks really good. It shouldn't be too hard to convert to gluten-free. Open Original Shared Link Here's a gluten-free one that looks good: Open Original Shared Link This one, scroll down below the recipe to see how she said she made hers gluten-free: Open Original Shared Link I thought the Mennonite Girls' glaze sounded good.
  18. Kroger carries it here, now.
  19. SaraBella, hi, an what a lovely handle I'm pretty sure you could sub egg replacement for the eggs and coconut oil or light tasting olive oil in place of butter or shortening. I'm just learning to cook vegan, myself, but there are some very smart people on this board who could offer suggestions on how to modify a recipe and make it vegan or post some vegan...
  20. First of all, I LOVE your attitude. Welcome to the board! Please share the recipe with us for arepas. Where can we find masarepa corn flour? More bread choices are what I'm looking for because I don't use yeast. I volunteered to help bake gluten-free yeast free bread at the upcoming gluten-free EXPO in Indiana in early Oct. in order to...
  21. GOOD FOR YOU! That's the only way to do it. Once you get it off, you'll be able to cheat once in a while. You can always look forward to that
  22. That sounds good. I had potato and pea curry and flatbread one day last week for breakfast--left overs. Today I was bad and had two pieces of gluten-free vegan blonde brownies with coffee. Got to STOP baking desserts for a while!!!!!
  23. I'm NOT. Very rare occasion. My husband went to the store, bought fish, salad and fixin's, and is COOKING. YES!
  24. I'll try this as a salad as well. Thanks AHorsesoul.
  25. ...ah left overs...baked salmon and coconut brown rice and homemade slaw. Well, the rice won't be leftovers. Had baked french fries last night. The rice will mix it up and will make a new batch of slaw.
