  1. We’ll, I am currently in Humboldt County, CA, so it could have been a Freudian slip! 🙂
  2. it sounds like your wife should be screened for celiac disease, is it possible for you to ask your doctor about that? I will assume that she is not gluten-free yet, but if she is note that she needs to keep eating gluten daily for at least 6 to 8 weeks before being screened for celiac disease.
  3. I also just wanted to mention that oats can be cross contaminated with wheat unless you buy certified gluten-free oats. and some celiacs react to oats in a similar way as they do gluten. I believe it’s some thing around 9% of celiac’s have an out intolerance.
  4. I will have to double check this. I think the we were being cautious because of potential cross-contamination. Do you know if they use separate ovens to cook the GF pizzas?
  5. Celiac.com 08/06/2021 - Fresh, cool cucumber, tomato, onion and mint dance with olive oil and vinegar to deliver this delicious, refreshing salad that's perfect for staying cool in hot weather. Ingredients: 4-6 Persian cucumbers ...
  6. Celiac.com 08/05/2021 - We get a lot of questions from celiac community members wondering if certain brands and products are gluten-free. One question we see a lot is about Jello brand products. Lately, we've seen a lot of questions about...
  7. Please note that the 20ppm threshold isn't a goal. These companies are not aiming to keep their products at this level, or fortifying them if they fall below it. This is simply a threshold that defines what it means to be gluten-free and use that term on the packaging. If a company detects 15 ppm, in general, they are scrambling to find out why so they don...
  8. Welcome to the forum Hans! It's unfortunate that your doctor does not seem to be very supportive of your DH idea. Do you think there is any chance that they would order a celiac disease blood panel, and/or refer you to a dermatologist to do a biopsy on the blisters to determine if it is DH? If not, then perhaps the next choice would be having her...
  9. Celiac.com 08/04/2021 - Dietary restriction of fermentable carbohydrates (a low-FODMAP diet) is getting a good deal of attention as a potential method for reducing symptoms in patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), particularly...
  10. Welcome to the forum. I also wonder, were you gluten-free when you took the York test? What were the results? You do need to eat gluten daily until the celiac disease tests are completed.
  11. In reality drinking Gatorade probably isn't much more healthy than drinking a Coke with some salt and few minerals thrown into it. I'm not sure anyone should drink it, but since so many people do we wanted to at least answer the questions we get about whether or not it's gluten-free. If you have almost any digestive issue the first step is to cut out sugar...
  12. I use this one, and think it's really good: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NSXBYVV
  13. It's highly doubtful that Gatorade has gluten in it. How do you reach this conclusion? What ingredient in it would contain gluten?
  14. Have you tried using digestive enzymes? Many people with celiac disease take them. Also, pre- and pro-biotics can be helpful as well.
  15. We do have some ideas here, but hopefully you can find out how to avoid getting glutened...it can be difficult:
  16. Budweiser Seltzer is gluten-free:
  17. Many people on this forum found out they had celiac disease in their 50s, 60s, or even 70s, so I would not worry too much about your age. The important thing is to get tested and diagnosed so you can regain your health. Keep in mind that there is also a condition called non-celiac gluten sensitivity that perhaps ~12% of people have, and unfortunately a celiac...
  18. I looked at the data sheet for the cream and didn't see any gluten ingredients, but you'd need to look at the product you use here: https://www.biofreeze.com/safety-data-sheets
  19. Celiac.com 08/03/2021 - If you're looking for a an elegant, yet simple and delicious chilled soup to help you beat the summer heat, then this cream of cucumber delight is just the recipe for you! A refreshing marriage of fresh cucumbers...
