  1. It's always nice to hear a positive story like this...thank you for sharing it!
  2. Unfortunately your doctor may not be up on the latest research on this:
  3. Welcome to the forum! I have family members who are very into Qi Gong. Like yoga or other forms of Eastern meditation and exercise, I'm sure it would be a very healthy way to exercise both your mind and body. Hopefully, though, you're not intending this as an alternative to a gluten-free diet, but in addition to one, right?
  4. Celiac.com 09/02/2021 - We get a lot of questions from people wondering which brands of over the counter drugs are gluten-free and safe for people with celiac disease. We recently answered questions about whether products like Advil PM...
  5. I think the combination is the DQ8, your symptoms, and you 2x the level for CD on your tTg test tells me that your doctor is probably correct, but if you’re still not certain go for the endoscopy for confirmation. Be sure to keep eating gluten daily until all tests are completed.
  6. Celiac.com 09/01/2021 - Wondering what beers are NOT gluten-free and unsafe for people with celiac disease? We get a lot of questions from celiac community members wondering if certain products are gluten-free. One question we see...
  7. In the UK presently they are diagnosing celiac disease if a blood test results is 10x the threshold level for celiac disease, which you have here in the first result that you shared. A biopsy may not be required in your case, but definitely discuss this with your doctor, and don't go gluten-free until all tests are completed.
  8. If there was a bread with "gluten-free" on the package, but it contained wheat as an ingredient, you should definitely report that to the store's manager. Do you recall what bread it was? It's clearly mis-labelled, and therefore dangerous.
  9. I take this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NSXBYVV because it includes Bifidobacterium Lactis Infantis, and we've summarized lots of research that indicates it can be helpful in celiacs: https://www.celiac.com/search/?q=Bifidobacterium&quick=1&type=cms_records2 You might also consider the amino acid tryptophan.
  10. Celiac.com 08/31/2021 - Girl Scout cookie season doesn't begin until January, but that hasn't stopped Girl Scouts of the USA from teasing us with an announcement of their newest cookie flavor, a chocolate sea salt caramel cookie called...
  11. I am also skeptical of this "bioresonance" testing. To me it sounds like classic pseudo science, and I doubt there have been any scientific studies done on it to show that it is effective: However, non-celiac gluten sensitivity is a real thing that has been studied, and fairly recently described as a separate condition from celiac disease. So far...
  12. Here is an older article on the connection between celiac disease and Addison's: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/connection-seen-between-celiac-and-addison's-disease-r1208/
  13. Most of the research we've summarized over 25 years does indicate that even celiacs who are asymptomatic do still have the same risks as those with symptoms, including but not limited to a higher risk of intestinal lymphoma (cancer), as well as lots of related diseases and disorders like Type 1 diabetes. Is it possible that others around you are not...
  14. Welcome to the forum! So if I understand your post correctly, you've never been diagnosed with celiac disease or DH, but you've noticed some skin blistering that may be associated with gluten consumption. If this is correct, and you are still consuming gluten, now would be a good time for you to get a blood panel test for celiac disease. In a perfect world...
  15. It sounds like you are in the super sensitive category, and we have some of the contains that you describe here. They are great for storage, and reheating things in the oven, but depending on what is inside I've noticed that when they heat up the lid often pops off unless you crack it so that steam can escape. If this is of concern to you, you could also...
  16. Gluten withdrawal is real, and can take at least two to three weeks to get past it. Sugar is very addictive as well, and refined sugar, in my opinion, is more like a drug than a food.
  17. I'm no expert on SIBO test results, but it looks like a positive test result to me as well. I suspect they will offer you treatment for it, which may include antibiotics.
  18. I think taking good probiotics might be helpful. You might also try eliminating casein/dairy for a time, to see if this might be contributing to the issue. This is the most common intolerance for those with celiac disease.
  19. I've experienced similar things when taking B12 supplements, and for me, especially improved memory. I think most celiacs should supplement B vitamins, especially B12, and take D as well.
  20. It sounds like you have oat intolerance, which about 9% of celiacs have. Cheerios cereals marked "gluten-free" are indeed gluten-free.
  21. Welcome to the forum @MelodyRKHP! Yes, you could have non-celiac gluten sensitivity, which is a medically recognized condition that recent research has shown to be a separate condition from celiac disease, and ~12% of people have this, while only 1% of people have celiac disease. Unfortunately they haven't yet developed a test for this condition. You...
