  2. Celiac.com 09/06/2021 - Antibodies specific for peptides bound to human leukocyte antigen (HLA) molecules are valuable tools for studies of antigen presentation, and may have therapeutic potential. Human T cell receptor (TCR)–like antibodies t...
  3. I believe that this is a broad generalization, and do believe that many celiacs can make a full recovery, but not all of them. There are more complicated cases, and those of us who have additional food intolerance and allergy issues with can make recovery much harder.
  4. Welcome to the forum, and I'm really sorry to hear that other students are your school are being bullies over your gluten-free diet. It surprises me to learn that they would not know more about others needing a gluten-free diet for health reasons, but the problem isn't you, it's them. Clearly you can't and should not want to be friends with such people, and...
  5. You may want to include a B Complex, as some B vitamins rely on there being enough of other B vitamins to be absorbed properly. I'm nut sure if you found our articles yet on research related to thyroid issues and celiac disease: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/celiac-disease-amp-related-diseases-and-disorders/thyroid-pancreatic-disorders-and-celiac-disease...
  6. A lot of people here have used gluten-free protein powder to help gain more muscle mass, which is heavier than fat. Adding more calories to your diet by snacking more often is another way that should help.
  7. Any chance you’re getting hidden gluten in your diet? Do you eat at restaurants? This article might be helpful:
  8. Mariposa Bakery is about as trustworthy as they get. They've been around for a long time and I've never heard of issues with their products.
  9. So it's not clear from your post what your goal is, are you trying to gain more weight? If so, there are lots of higher calorie foods that can help.
  10. Do you by chance mean "Olmesartan"? We've done a couple of articles on this. It doesn't trigger celiac disease, but can cause villous atrophy, so that someone could be misdiagnosed with celiac disease:
  11. Celiac.com 09/03/2021 - Specially designed antibodies could help prevent development of celiac disease, according to new research. Monoclonal antibodies are basically lab-crafted immune cells that increase the body's defenses against infections...
  12. It's always nice to hear a positive story like this...thank you for sharing it!
  13. Unfortunately your doctor may not be up on the latest research on this:
  14. Welcome to the forum! I have family members who are very into Qi Gong. Like yoga or other forms of Eastern meditation and exercise, I'm sure it would be a very healthy way to exercise both your mind and body. Hopefully, though, you're not intending this as an alternative to a gluten-free diet, but in addition to one, right?
  15. Celiac.com 09/02/2021 - We get a lot of questions from people wondering which brands of over the counter drugs are gluten-free and safe for people with celiac disease. We recently answered questions about whether products like Advil PM...
  16. I think the combination is the DQ8, your symptoms, and you 2x the level for CD on your tTg test tells me that your doctor is probably correct, but if you’re still not certain go for the endoscopy for confirmation. Be sure to keep eating gluten daily until all tests are completed.
  17. Celiac.com 09/01/2021 - Wondering what beers are NOT gluten-free and unsafe for people with celiac disease? We get a lot of questions from celiac community members wondering if certain products are gluten-free. One question we see...
  18. In the UK presently they are diagnosing celiac disease if a blood test results is 10x the threshold level for celiac disease, which you have here in the first result that you shared. A biopsy may not be required in your case, but definitely discuss this with your doctor, and don't go gluten-free until all tests are completed.
  19. If there was a bread with "gluten-free" on the package, but it contained wheat as an ingredient, you should definitely report that to the store's manager. Do you recall what bread it was? It's clearly mis-labelled, and therefore dangerous.
  20. I take this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NSXBYVV because it includes Bifidobacterium Lactis Infantis, and we've summarized lots of research that indicates it can be helpful in celiacs: https://www.celiac.com/search/?q=Bifidobacterium&quick=1&type=cms_records2 You might also consider the amino acid tryptophan.
