  1. It's really a shame that people really can't look at the big picture..... The more people who approach celiac support groups, even though they don't have the "official" diagnosis, but still have a problem with gluten, the more people who are going to come into the fold and join the gluten free revolution. This will result in more gluten free products...
  2. I don't consider any difference between the two. I also believe in your theory about different "levels" of celiac, and I also believe they have not identified all of the genes that cause it yet either. I think there is much more to be discovered in regards to how gluten poisons us all...... That woman sounded like you needed to "fit the criteria" to...
  3. Are you kidding me? Why settle there? This is why: Open Original Shared Link It doesn't get much better than that! Karen
  4. I just e-mailed you my letter, Metta..... Let me know what you think..... I will try calling her tomorrow, as Frick and Frack are in school tomorrow and I can have a peaceful conversation with her...... Hugs. Karen

  6. I truly feel this is a breakthrough. A mainstream anchor on the most watched news channel in the world! What could be better? I love it! Karen
  7. Sounds like a great idea to me! Awesome! She is doing wonders in getting the word out! She even said near the end that's what she is trying to do - because it is so underdiagnosed, it needs more exposure! Yippee!!!!!!!!!!! Karen
  8. What did they say?????????? OOoooohhhhhh, this is exciting! Karen Maybe they were so inundated with e-mail questions, they realized they needed to expand their coverage of it? Hope so! Karen
  9. I will be working on my letter today! You are truly an amazing friend and wonderful human being! Hugs! Karen
  10. You have every right to respond, if you feel the need or obligation to. But my suggestion to "do it somewhere else" instead of hijacking Judy's thread, would be the best way to do it. If you feel the need to debate the pros and cons of vaccines, I think the least likely place for that debate would be a feel good thread created to celebrate our excitement...
  11. Along with celiac, I would also look into collagenous colitis. Keep us posted when you get the results! Good luck! Karen
  12. I think Judy was somewhat disappointed due to the fact that in recent history of this forum (and I know you wouldn't be aware of this since you only joined the end of October), was that there was a period where almost every thread that started out as positive and uplifting soon deteriorated into bickering and debating, basically hijacking the thread and wiping...
  13. Hi Turtle! I checked out the site, it looks great! I tried to post this in the guestbook there, but it was too long, so I posted it here for you, as I see in your site that you are a strong supporter of the troops...... Hugs! Karen
  14. I just e-mailed Heidi Collins directly to thank her for giving this disease some exposure. Karen Here's the link to e-mail her directly: Open Original Shared Link

  19. Happy Birthday Deb! Hope you have a wonderful day! Hugs. Karen
  20. Don't quote me on this by any means, but I seem to remember a thread about a celiac wanting to join the military, but being celiac disqualified them...... Karen
  21. I just got back from the Remembrance Day ceremony here in Clarington. I love it - they really know how to honour our vets in this town - a huge turnout every year - rain or shine (of course, it poured this year....). I controlled myself very well this year, as the kids and Terry were with me this time (being a Saturday, instead of a weekday. I usually...
  22. I don't know if it is popping out or not, but I have a major problem with my right hip. It seizes up on me frequently, and is extremely painful. For me it is one of my many ongoing issues...... Karen
  23. Metta! Don't make me come down there and give you a whooping! What the bleeping heck were you doing on a ladder??????? GRRRRR! I'm thinking it has to be your left elbow, as your right elbow is probably has so much strength in it from years of "exercise"......... Those darn Snowbirds - I mean, c'mon! Booking all these appts? Whaz up with dat...
  24. Awesome! Hugs! Karen
