  1. I don't believe it is safe for us. I couldn't find it on any gluten-free lists, which leads me to believe it contains gluten. Karen
  2. Besides, if I start praising the virtues of all the uses for Vaseline, I could REALLY, REALLY get in trouble!!!! LOL!
  3. Don't worry, it would only be temporary! I have a Mike Myers' type voice inside my head saying: "OH, BEHAVE!!!" (It must be a message from one Scarberian to another). He grew up 5 minutes from my place in Scarborough...... Hugs! Karen
  4. Gotta keep my straightjacket on, it is a full moon, ya know! Hugs! Karen
  5. You have a point there. That's exactly why I use Vaseline. I trust it. Nothin' fancy about it. But hey, take my advice with a grain of salt! After all, I am the one who praises the virtues of Preparation "H" Cooling Gel under the eyes for puffiness! It's as good as a spa treatment! Hugs. Karen

  10. LOL! I was skimming quickly through the post index and I thought I read "Big Bowel Restaurant"!! LOL! Now THAT would be a catchy name, eh? Hugs. Karen
  11. Former party animal here. Back in my heyday (we won't mention when those were though, I will start feeling too old.......) I used to party every weekend, and usually a couple of times through the week as well. I worked for a nuclear engineering firm that was based in Switzerland, and all us secretaries used to go out partying with the engineers all...
  12. I don't even have a clue what okra looks like! LOL! I guess that's due to being up here in the Great Canadian North!!! LOL! Hugs. Karen
  13. Okay, here's my dream for 50 years down the road: Wheat is not used for human consumption hardly had all anymore. But the GNP does not suffer, because some bright person perfected the scientific technique of turning wheat into fuel which is most envioronmentally friendly. (Thinking dreamily........) "What a perfect win-win situation........." BAM...
  14. Scott has some automatic short-form thing-a-ma-jingy on here where if you just type the initials, it automatically pops in what that stands for. "C.D." is another. Some people have typed C.D. (without the periods) in a post about compact discs, and it automatically comes up Celiac Disease. Karen
  15. Debmidge, Did you try that casserole you were talking about? Hugs. Karen
  16. I agree wholeheartedly. That is why I make it a point of saying to the newbies that although it sounds so hard at the beginning, to trust us, it will get so much easier once you get the hang of it and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I would also like to give credit to companies like Kraft, who make our lives so much easier. There are soooo...

  19. I SOOOO hear ya! Yesterday, after I took the kids to school, I came back, laid down on the couch, and next thing I knew, it was 2 p.m.!!!! I am tired ALL THE TIME! But I already know the reason: I am severely anemic. My family doctor is recommending IV systemic iron. I can't absorb iron if my life depended on it! (Which, of course, it does!) Hugs...
  20. Sorry, can't really recommend any. When I feel like a coffee, I run to my nearest Tim Hortons! Best coffee on the planet! Hugs. Karen
