  1. I just converted a family fave and they turned out perfect...YES! Chocolate Sugar Cookies In saucepan melt together: 4 T. butter (1/2 stick) 2 T. chocolate chips Remove from heat and stir in: 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup baking cocoa 1/2 tsp. vanilla Then stir in: 1 egg Mix well and stir in: 1 cup gluten-free flour mix (I...
  2. Watch for gluten-free/vegan recipes. Karina has good, easy to sub recipes. Try this one: Open Original Shared Link You could add dried fruit in place of the chips. I reduce the sugar by 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup. I made my dd a mini pizza cookie with some of the dough for her birthday. You could try it just for fun. Put dough on parchment paper in a round...
  3. Great to hear your results! I hope the cake is good too!
  4. You might find some good recipes on Open Original Shared Link Karina has lots of allergy friendly recipes, subs and tips!
  5. I have never used BB flour. When I am not sure I always make 1/2 a recipe. When it calls for 1 egg, I just use the egg white and put the yolk in the freezer for future use. If BB flour contains rice flour you can use 1/2 rice and 1/2 sorghum if you want to. I did that before I switched to the sorghum.
  6. I found this one to add to this thread: Open Original Shared Link It has nuts but someone else might be interested. There are photos and you might be able to pick up some tips. Another idea is to google gluten-free hamantaschen, they are much the same thing. Some recipes you cut and some you just roll into balls.
  7. You are welcome, I hope they turn out! Let us know so we can follow in your footsteps...I mean thumbprints! lol
  8. Have you ever read Karina's tips? She says to flavor things more...extra spice, more vanilla, use brown sugar and so on....
  9. Soooo, I am curious...what are you going to make? (be sure to add xanthan gum to your recipe)
  10. Open Original Shared Link has a recipe for thumbprints but I haven't tried it...
  11. Yes I do, when I make cookies, muffins, sweet breads, cake and brownies...non yeast items.
  12. I just found a recipe to add to this sugar cookie thread: Open Original Shared Link There are lots of substitution tips too!

  18. That is similar to my egg roll recipe. I skip the eggs and add bean sprouts. I bake the egg rolls. Was wondering if you cook your spring rolls after rolling them...not stated, so I wanted to be sure...THANKS!
  19. I have made egg rolls with chicken and veggies but not spring rolls. Here is a recipe for spring rolls: Open Original Shared Link
  20. How funny! I have 1 cat that sleeps between my legs and 1 that either sleeps on my back, shoulder or side...most every night. One of them wakes me up to put her out in the night by rattling plastic until I moved it OR she rattles the curtain and for some reason there are noisy wind chimes on the end of the rod...just hanging there. They rattle and wake me...
  21. You can find your flour mix at Open Original Shared Link Its called Featherlite. Bette Hagman has lots of recipes using that mix. Check out her cookie recipes. I read on here that some don't add the potato FLOUR anymore. I stopped too. But now I mostly use sorghum mix. Sometimes the rice flour is nicer...like if you want whiter looking rolls. I have made...
  22. How about using cornstarch? Or tapioca starch/flour? Sub starch for starch. Posting recipes would help to figure out what to sub.
  23. How about baggies of chex mix, trail mix or muddy buddies? Make lots of muffins and freeze/wrap individually, ready to grab and go Cheese sticks Celery and p.b. Yogurt (I keep a few plastic spoons in the car) Refried beans and tortilla chips Apples dipped in p.b. Nuts and seeds Chunks of pumpkin/banana bread, etc. (make a loaf and cut into chunks...
  24. You wouldn't need to saute the veggies, they just need longer to cook. The beans and chicken are precooked so they need less time to heat up. I usually saute the onions, garlic ad peppers before adding to my chili b/c I use canned beans. If not then I get them started cooking in the crock pot first. I like to put green onions, chopped tomatoes and/or avocados...
