Here are 2 easy recipes for Rocky Road: Melt together in the microwave for 2-3 minutes, stirring after each minute: 1- 12oz. bag chocolate chips and 1 cup crunchy p.b. Fold in 4 cups mini marshmallows. Spread into a buttered 8 or 9" square pan and chill until firm. Cut into squares. Melt 2-8oz. milk chocolate candy bars (in the microwave or) in... -

You always have the best ideas....to add to what you suggested...bag up purchased candies to wrap in cellophane, holiday cellophane if you can find it. We used to wrap red and green M&M's in cellophane. How about chocolate covered pretzels or white covered with crushed candy canes sprinkled on top? When my kids were little, we wrapped mini boxes of M... -

Thanks for posting, I thought it was very interesting! The families of the healthier countries probably grow some of their own produce. Whereas the "I want it now" countries buy theirs in bags and boxes...not real food IMO. I am planting a bigger garden next year and looking forward to all that work and harvest! If everyone could grow at least 1 or 2 things... -
I found this link last night, it has tips and photos: Open Original Shared Link I bet you could have a really smooth top if you dip a spoon in water and smooth the top of the batter with the back of the wet spoon. If you don't have rings...try folding 12" foil into a strip and tape the ends together and spray, I use it for english nuffins and it...

I do that with huckleberries, then you can put them in waffles, pancakes, zucchini bread, muffins... if your family doesn't find them in the freezer first I love those purple flowers (that's my favorite color)!!! -

Oh, Karina's pumpkin cake for sure...I will make it again...SOON! The only thing I did differently was to add a bit of xanthan gum...just in case Cranraspberry jello salad, but its gluten-free anyway. Making it for Christmas Mrs. P's yeast crescent rolls were great too. I ate 2 or 3 while they were hot, then saved the rest for my dd's (the gluten... -

I shoulda baked the lemon bars a few extra minutes, kinda gooey, but sure were good! My non-gluten-free dh loved them! Finally, something gluten-free he liked! I made Karina's pumpkin cake and it was wonderful!!! You have seen how people stuff their suitcases and then try to close them??? Well I pushed and smashed and suished and squashed...didn... -

Hi and welcome! One thing to start getting the mindset right is to focus on what she can eat, rather than the negative, "can't haves". Give her positve choices so she can learn and choose for herself. Also get her involved in food preperation. She will learn lots that way and will be in control of what she eats. She will be more aware of what is in her food... -

ARCHIVED Baking Without Wheat, Corn, Or Soy?

Hi, I do very little bread and roll baking. I am not gluten-free, my 2 dd's are but they live an hour away. I don't get to "experiment on them" very often. And my oven is broken so I bake in a toaster oven...not good for large things. Recently I tried 2 roll recipes. You could use guar gum for the xanthan gum, though I have never used it. And sub potato starch... -

I have never made/eaten pumpkin roll (how come ) but I remember a recipe posted on here last year. Their's has xanthan gum so be sure to use it. You can compare your recipe but they just have gluten-free flour listed: 1. https://www.celiac.com/gluten-free/index.ph...&pid=494152 2. Here is another recipe you could look at, with pics.: Open...

That sounds delish! Instead or rolling and flipping, I wonder if you could just press it evenly into the pie plate?? It should work for a one crust pie...I have seen it in other recipes.

Have you tried a vegan pie? I think this is the one I made for my dd last year. If I remember right she liked it...it was kinda dark...the recipe says spicey. Maybe you could mix some pudding mix in with it or use honey instead of molasses??? This year I decided to make a pumpkin cake. Open Original Shared Link You might google vegan pumpkin pies if... -

ARCHIVED My Husband Is Vegan And I Am Gluten Free
purple replied to positivenrgfairy's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
My dd was a vegan for a year and gluten-free for several months of that year. So I learned a few things. Make meatless chili and if you want meat, add cooked hamburger to your portion. I got so used to eating it w/o meat that I actually like it better. Keep small packages of cooked meat in the freezer. Make stir fry. Rice and veggies in the same pan... -
I had a gluteny pumpkin dinner roll at work (I am not gluten-free, adult dd's are) and searched for a gluten-free version but couldn't find one. So I made 1/2 a recipe from this recipe I revised from Open Original Shared Link. Its more of a soft muffin/roll than a chewy dinner roll. The gluten and the gluten-free versions are not pumkin-y tasting, you...
