Hi Emily, Welcome to our family I have 2 daughters, 18 and the oldest will be 21 next week. We have been gluten-free for more than a year (not Celiac). Both girls have completely different reactions to gluten. Yes it's a pain to be gluten-free at your age. I try to make the girls whatever I can to make their life easier. I bake/cook and freeze foods...

I made mini pizzas and bread sticks with the recipe today. So simple and yummy! I thought the mini muffins were a little more chewy...could be b/c they had pepperoni in the dough and were smaller. You can cut the mini pizza in 1/2 and pick it up just like a regular slice. The crust is pretty, sides and bottom. Its more like a soft biscuit with a cispy...

You can use white vinegar as fabric softener. My dh can't have smelly chemical softeners so I use vinegar. A neighbor is allergic to chlorine.

My dd wants some bathroom scales. I was wondering what is the best kind/brand to buy and what is the worst? I have never bought any before. She likes to weigh herself everyday. Thanks for your input!

I use any df milk for mashed potatoes. The first time I tried it they were really sticky. I heard on T.V. to rinse the starch off before mashing. I never had the sticky problem with dairy milk (never rinsed them and never let them sit before mashing). But what I found out was to mash them right away after draining b/c if they sit awhile before mashing they... -
My friend used to get it often and blamed it on her active dh. She never mentions it anymore. I remember she would put yogurt down there but I would use one without fruit or sugar. She is not Celiac but has had many symptoms.

My dh got quail and grouse today. He is pan frying them rolled in flour/cornmeal/seasonings. Fry it like chicken. My suggestion for freezing: Let soak in a bowl of salted water, in the fridge, all day or overnight to draw out the blood, drain and repeat for awhile if desired. Drop in a couple of bags and freeze. Put however many you plan to eat in one...

Our co-op has them but I buy Reeses b/c my dd's are gluten-free only, not Celiac, and they don't have a problem with them. You could put nuts in them too. I like to make mini muffins...fun to eat even for "big kids". -
Thanks...all we have is a small co-op but who knows, they might have the chicken sausages. I used to buy those a.m. pizzas...mmm! I always wondered how they made that white sauce. My dh suggested I make bacon cheeseburger with tomatoes and onions next time...sounds good too.
