  1. No, but I did some looking and found the link, I forgot to save it. Open Original Shared Link I haven't made them for over a year, we switched to white corn tortillas when my dd comes home...much easier. Anyway when I first learned how to make them I posted "my way" (beginner) of doing it: https://www.celiac.com/gluten-free/index.php?showtopic=...
  2. I have one made with rice flour mix (potato starch could sub) but it has xanthan gum...isn't that corn? It's a Bette Hagman recipe, I don't have a link but if you are interested I could post the recipe. Its not dairy free (sour cream) but I made them with df sour cream before.
  3. This just came to mind. I had friends years ago that got into poison ivy. They kept getting the itchies b/c they forgot to clean their car. Does your family eat fast food in the car you drive?
  4. Here is a recipe I saved but haven't tried: Open Original Shared Link sweet corn bread Click on baked goods to find it. For other ideas go to glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com Karina has several and she's a great cook!
  5. Tried another good soup recipe: Open Original Shared Link Its easy, fast, good, healthy and cheap too. I made a few minor adjustments for what I had on hand. Added more peppers (red and green), seasoning, water, a bit of tomato paste and an extra can of beans (drained all 3 cans). Skipped the cornstarch. Served it with cheese, green onions and chips...
  6. My dh has sensitive skin and gets headaches from smelly things like fabric softener, so I just rinse his clothes in white vinegar. It gets most of the static out if I use enough.
  7. I started out with bean flour. The cookies were good right out of the oven. Then I switched to rice flour. I didn't like the gritty cookies I made. I switched to sorghum and use it mostly. I like the taste of sorghum and millet together, to me they taste like good old fashioned homemade gluten white bread. I use Bob's all purpose baking flour for vegan...
  8. Now those sood good...I used to make the best banana bread with Banana Nut Crunch Cereal (the recipe was on the box). It had flakes and nuts and gave the bread "texture". Do you think your cereal would work? I love maple and I could add nuts to the bread. Thanks!
  9. I make meatless chili sometimes, its great. I planted a garden last year so I froze zucchini for stir frys, pizza and zucchini bread. We picked wild berries and froze them. I have been using them up this winter in breads, crisps and muffins. Good in zucchini bread. I picked all the green tomatoes and as they turned red I froze them. Now I am making...
  10. If nobody posts a recipe you could google on the web a recipe for it. Try gluten free, yeast free, vegan, bread recipe. There are a few out there. My dd is gluten-free/vegan, not yeast free.
  11. There are lots of posts on this subject that you could google (Tinkyada). My first thought is use lots of water. I rinse the slime (some don't) Never had slime with the lasagna noodles. I am sure others will chime in too!
  12. Yup, I was going to suggest that one too. A good web site is: Open Original Shared Link Karina is great at subbing! She has lots of info/helpful tips too.
  13. Way to Go! I am proud of you too!! Bagels were one of the first things I tried to make gluten-free. Good thing I only made 1/2 a recipe...the trash ate them
  14. I made this soup in the crock pot today. Its Great! Open Original Shared Link I made a few changes to what we had on hand or liked. Added: beans, more carrots, more tomatoes(pureed), garlic Skipped: 1/2 the celery, milk, only used 1/4 pkg. taco seasoning(dh doesn't like too much spice), 1 can less broth(b/c I added more tomatoes), the oil (I used...
  15. Those sound scrumptious...I think I will make them for my dd when I get some new craisins...Thanks for the recipe!
  16. We use Bob's Red Mill flour (contains some of those you mentioned, no corn or rice)for these delicious waffles: Open Original Shared Link I use 1 1/2 cups any milk and either one of these: syrup/honey/agave nectar. You would need a corn starch free baking powder (google for a recipe to make your own). No xanthan gum needed. Glutenfreegoddess.blogspot...
  17. Hi, there are older posts on daycare...just google it and preschool in the box above. I used to have a daycare, 10 yrs ago. We never had any gluten-free kids. There is a recipe for gluten-free play dough somewhere too...sorry, I didn't save it (google it). duh...I did save it...under daycare stuff! (I want to have one again). I haven't tried this recipe...
  18. Karina's pumpkin cake is wonderful. I used the maple frosted pumpkin cake recipe but just used a white frosting. I have made this one layer, One Bowl Chocolate Cake many times. Its dairy/soy free too. If you want a 2 layer, double the recipe and pour into 2 round pans: Open Original Shared Link I like to put 3/4 cup chocolate chips in it (single recipe...
  19. You can buy most things at the dollar store. I bought 2 new waffle irons at Walmart for 10 bucks each...one for my house and one for my dd's apt. Also, keep your toaster covered.
  20. Thanks for your replies! She could barely see for 3 days. I prayed over her and the next day she was better. Then the next day back to normal...Praise the Lord!
  21. My dd had those bumps you described, on the backs of her upper arms. Keratosis pilaris (chicken skin) is what it looked like and they didn't itch. Two yrs later we found out she is gluten intolerant. Her head kept itching...wheat in her shampoo. She bought a new bottle...same thing. We got a wheat free bottle and no more itching. Sometimes around her hairline...
  22. I noticed Bette Hagman uses sour cream in her recipes. Also pudding mix in cookies. You can use applesauce of yogurt too. This is the first time I've heard or mayo except for a cake batter posted on here a couple of yrs ago. I will have have to try it. Thanks! Another thing I learned is to let your batter sit while the oven warms up, you get a better rise...
  23. My dog has many symptoms of pink eye. Is there a home remedy for dogs? We live an hour from town and the vet only comes to our town a couple of days per week. I have dealt with it with people years ago but what can I do for a dog?? Thanks bunches!!
  24. This thread might have some ideas: https://www.celiac.com/gluten-free/index.php?showtopic=16679&mode=threaded
  25. We had this for dinner: Open Original Shared Link I used cornstarch for the flour. Served it over rice with green beans on the side. I made a double batch of the gravy and glad I did! This was sooo yummy! If you like mushrooms, throw some in. I added a little diced onion leftover from tacos. Here is a copycat recipe for Lipton's Onion Soup Mix....
