  2. slightly... not really high.. but spaced out and VERY MUCH ENJOYING MY FOOD... i also get extreme pleasure while eating cheese... which i have not been able to get off of.. still addicted. it also felt like a drug, cause u cant stop- ie: if i was to eat a bowl of fettucini bolognese (real gluten pasta)- id prolly get up to fix 3 more bowls.. but now with...
  3. wow... someone finally went there... all this time ive been on here and we're all talkin about our BMs... & ive always been too embarrassed and grossed out to bring this one up. yes- ive experienced this- off & on the last 8 years or so... i REALLY really hope it doesnt have to be colitis or crohns... because i really started having it on a regular...
  4. omg! thanku! that looks DELISH.. i will definitely make it
  5. ummmmm sauteed sweet potatoes, and now breaded fried green beans???? i am SO coming over to your house
  6. or.. maybe if you can find a gluten-free cream of mushroom soup.. add in sour cream & cheddar & swiss um.. when are we all gonna get together for a pot luck
  7. i only eat up to 3 a day... it's supposed to help lower Hashi & Grave's antibodies. it's also supposed to help you convert your T4 to T3 easier. so far, they have not bothered my teeth.. they're kind of fatty.. i still indulge on Almond M&Ms.. and those almost crack my teeth
  8. sounds like nerve pain... which could involve your B12.. idk the only time i had burning was on my forearms (where i sometimes have DH)- i had a few BURN eruptions while on Synthroid & Cytomel... since i switched to Armour- i have not had it. hope yours calms down soon!
  9. interesting about the Selenium... as Selenium deficiency often occurs in those with thyroid disorders. i did a ton of research after my Hashi & Grave's dx... and Selenium is the number 1 thing to take to help. instead of taking the supplement- i opted for eating 3 Brazil nuts a day. or 2. its been stressed that you can overdose on selenium very easily...
  10. i think you did the right thing- make sure they take @ 6 biopsies from different areas.. damage can be patchy.. no sense in doing the whole procedure if the doc is only gonna take 1 biopsy and call u a negative. then i would just go gluten free right after the test- dont wait for any results! my blood tests werent a solid positive (even tho my EMA was...
  11. yes, i believe that is the DGP... im not an expert- but that's what it seems like.
  12. ya- people actually have no idea that most celiacs do NOT have gut symptoms.. it's surprising, yes- but that's what studies are showing. and most docs dont understand that either. i want my dad tested, but he wont do it. i even told our PCP that i believe he has it- but she said: "does he have any stomach problems?".. i said: "no, but most celiacs dont"....
  13. i think grey hair is part genetics, part disease link, and possibly diet related too. i hate to sound like a broken record- but you should get fairly routine Thyroid panels done-> as Thyroid disorders can be common with Gluten Intolerance AND-> can cause premature greying. ive never heard of B12 def. contributing to grey hair- but i dont know...
  14. oh- if we already know she's making sufficient Iga, then yes- there's no need to add the tests i mentioned. the DGP/newer test- i only learned about on here- its possible that it may not be available at every lab??? idk. my PCP & Gi ordered pretty complete panels for me- but they used the older Antigliadin.. not the DGP.. so, ya, maybe not everyone can...
  15. is she eating enough gluten prior to testing? i dont know what the "EIA" is? it looks like they're ordering the older Antigliadin AB test- the DGP is the newer one. they should add to that order: TTG Igg, and Total Iga serum...
  16. i would also add- (including dont worry-you're gonna be fine)-> to get a thorough and routing thyroid panels... it CAN be common in those with Gluten intolerance- and CAN affect fertility as well... so good to stay on top of that too. i would presume that as long as you're gluten free and healthy- you should be just as fertile as the next woman..
  17. you're very smart to also want to make sure there's nothing else wrong- even if you DO have Celiac... or JUST have Celiac- we should always be vigilant- as we could have any number of issues from our esophagus all the way down- that's why its always a good idea for both scopes.. i was very relieved when my colonoscopy came out clear- and they removed a benign...
  18. wow.. i dont know what to tell u- cause i LOVE sweet potatoes... and you frying them up in olive oil and spices was making me drool... i prefer my sweet potatoes salty & savory.. as opposed to the sugar and cinnamon... im actually going to make russian potato salad in next day or two- using sweet potatoes INSTEAD of regular (as i avoid reg. potatoes...
  19. tests: Tissue Transglutamase Iga & Igg Endomysial Antibody Total Iga Serum Deamidated Gliadin Peptide **if they do not have this newer DGP test available, then ask for the Antigliadin Iga & Igg you need a complete panel- as many of us have many negative results. also- u MUST be eating enough gluten for an accurate...
  20. i agree with Shauna... you most definitely do not need the scope for a diagnosis. you are clearly positive.. BUT- i would consider a scope in the semi-near future.. or a few years- just to make sure everything's okay. i had a colonoscopy after my blood tests- just to make sure i didnt have anything else going on- it's a relief to get that clean...
  21. do u shower or bathe in the evening?? cause i always noticed HOT water totally making my DH worse
  22. is 5000 how much you're supposed to take when deficient?? i didnt know... my doc didnt say anything.. i just saw my lab results (cause i always request a copy)... anyways, im taking 4,000 a day of D3... is that gonna be enough? hhmmm ... ? mine are gluten free.. i get my supplements from the bloodtype doctor... everyone bashes him on here- but u know...
  23. i know- i didnt always know that apples (esp. apple juice) can be too acidic... im fine with tomatoes in moderation. lemons & grapefruit actually turn the stomach and body alkaline. and OJ-> i avoid like the plague!!!!!!! unless i wanna end up worshipping the porcelain god
  24. WELL SAID TAKALA!!!!! yes! MORONS at the USDA! its so frightening this science experiment the govt is hell bent on putting us all in
