  1. Hi Shirley, that sounds really delicious. We also have a chinese restaurant around here. They even took Kathy and me back into the kitchen to show us everything and we could assure ourselves of all the labels and how they made the food. Isn't that cool? Oh, and I never had a problem at any Outbacks, when I was checking ingredients of soups or dressings...
  2. Oh, but glutenfree burgers are still pretty good, too. I mean with a glutenfree bread or bun. Hehe, no "bun" intended !
  3. I put my e-mail into the Redbridge site and nothing popped up. Strangely enough, when I called my husband, he already knew where to get it around here. I don't get it . Where do I go to find out, if they sell Bards beer around here???
  4. I sipped at Bards last week and it was great. I didn't try New Grist. Never heard of it . I just tried to find out that Redbridge beer, but I couldn't find anything in our area. My husband says, he knows where we could buy it around here. It's just strange, that I can't find it with the zip code locator on the internet.
  5. So now I know, why I don't like Ghirardelli that much. But I was right with Lindt being from Switzerland. Sorry, your burgers are a real dream, but your chocolate isn't good. That's just my opinion. Please, don't take that the wrong way. Hugs, Stef
  6. OMG, so it's true. I have to appologize to my husband for b%$@#ing at him. He mentioned it to me, and I'm like 'Yeah, right, just like last time when you glutened me with Amstel light!' And I told him, when there's a glutenfree beer from Busch indeed, you guys would know about this and i haven't read anything about it on here yet. Well... until now. So I...
  7. I don't know for sure. This is just a thought. And because I'm pregnant myself, I thought about this a lot the last few weeks. When we breastfeed our kids, they are supposed to get all the vitamins and nutrients from us, too, right? Well, gluten is a protein and if we wouldn't consume protein in one form or another (can be animal protein, too) we could not...
  8. How upsetting. I'm really sorry for your experience with that doctor. Some doctors act real stupid . She doesn't deserve you as a customer. Hope the ped has better news. You're doing great, don't let a stupid doctor intimidate you. Good luck on your future testing. Hugs, Stef
  9. Ghirardelli and Lindt both do have factories in the US, but they do not originate in the US. I think one is originally from Switzerland and the other one is from Austria. I'm not sure from which country exactly, but they are not American chocolates. Me for my part, I do not like Hersheys. If you are used to German chocolate, which is really creamy in taste...
  10. I didn't get tested myself with EnteroLab, but I will get my baby tested with them for sure. I mostly heard good stuff and the doctors around here suck. So there are not many other options. Hugs, Stef
  11. That sounds like something my mother would do, too. She can't even behave, when she's not allowed to feed my parents-in-laws dog from the table. No kidding, she visited us from Germany and when we went to visit my parents-in-law my m-i-l, Thelma, told her not to feed Jada (the dog) from the table. Thelma turned around and seconds later I saw my mom fumbling...
  12. Is this RedBridge from Busch? Where can I find it??? So confused...
  13. I thought that they had that in mind as well. They might throw some stuff in once in a while, because Elizabeth has it and therefor don't bring a complete show. Hugs, Stef
  14. So my husband was right . I ridiculed him a week ago, because he mentioned it to me. And I said, yeah, like the last time somebody mentioned to you, that Amstel light is glutenfree and then I had a glutenaccident. I didn't see the show. Can you tell me more? How do I know, which one it is from Busch brand. Do they say glutenfree on the bottle. Or wheat,...
  15. How cruel... I love it
  16. That is awesome. I really like this book! Bought it last year in that totally glutenfree shop that opened here in PA. It's the third totally glutenfree shop in the entire US. It's in Dillsburg and called "The glutenfree Source". Every Saturday, when I drove to National Team Training I passed them and bought a pack of freshly baked glutenfree goods. I thought...
  17. Congratulations on that discovery, Jerry! Way to go. Hope your brother sticks with the gluten-free diet!
  18. Yes, Lufthansa has a glutenfree meal. And it's even one of the best I ever ate on a plane. Now, Jen, if you like the gluten-free food you can find in Germany, try the gluten-free Lasagna (in german "lasagne"), which you should find in the freezer section in a supermarket that carries gluten-free food. It is the real italian thing, not the stuff you can...
  19. Hi kbabe, that's why most of us go there. Because you actually feel safe. At least most of the time. Congrats on your good experience! @ Lauren: I never really liked beer either. That's why I always liked the cola-beer we have in Germany. It's half cola or pepsi, half wheat beer. And it actually looks dark like cola with foam on it. It looks very...
  20. I love to skate, when I have time. In the summer skateboard and in the winter snowboard. I'm not that good at it, but it's a lot of fun. I wish I had a place over here, where I could skate without the police being all over you. And of course now I have to wait, until my baby pops out. I'm just normally rolling around at the moment and no snowboarding at the...
  21. Oh, I forgot completely, I send her an e-mail, too.
  22. I'm sorry, I missed it. I would have liked to see it, even if it only was 3 minutes. Yes, that's my opinion, too. And this is kind of weird, that cancer, heart attacks or whatever gets more exposure, because celiac unfortunately can cause exactly those diseases... just like you said. So... I don't get it. Yes, that's true. And even though...
  23. Yes, I ate them, too. I never had a reaction to those turkey legs. And they aren't even small. After Kathy and I ordered one each, we wished, we would have ordered one for both of us. They are huge! I wish I'd have one right now, too Hugs, Stef
  24. I don't know, if WalMart (great value) makes cheeses for Mac'N Cheese, but most of their other cheeses say "gluten-free" on the back. I'd give that a try. Hugs, Stef
  25. With celiacs it's not only roughage. It's pretty much everything. The reason is, because your intestines can't actually process the food, because they are damaged. I had that, too, when I wasn't diagnosed yet. It disappeared after a few weeks already on the glutenfree diet. Now I have a real normal stool, unless I get glutened by accident. The only thing...
