  1. You explain yourself quite well -- completely understand -- hard on forums sometimes as it is hard to get the tone of the conversation when you can't see the person's mannerisms and animated gestures (I don't mean the rude ones)
  2. I love this thread -- hubby and I call it the "Hen Party" -- my dear MIL had a "Bridge" group for over 40 years that never played bridge -- took me about a decade to figure that out

  12. I happen to be experiencing major week of itch -- this morning I woke up with a great big DOH!!! My folks have a new washing machine that they do not wish to use their old supply of liquid tide, so I brought it home to use it up. We use inexpensive Kirkland powdered detergent -- just under a week ago I put sheets on my bed that I had washed in the liquid...

  14. Welcome LiquidCeliac! Yes, all the symptoms you mention can be caused by Celiac Disease or Non-Celiac Gluten Intolerance. The best next step is to be tested for Celiac Disease. You NEED to be eating gluten for these antibody tests to have their best chance for accuracy. You mention going a few days without gluten - have you spent significant time...

So once upon a time there was a woman whom had successfully removed gluten from her family's life -- yet one person in particular would still crunch and munch on WHEAT THINS in front of this Princess (yes....now she is Royal and said Toad was crunching her former favorite snack cracker). This was a Princess that loved to bake so she made a sinful chocolate...

  20. You can do it!!! I've been dairy, grain and legume free for 16 months!!! It gets easier....loads easier once you find safe ingredients booze - now that I suggest trialing at least once per month

Totally with you on this train of thought -- my will power has gained a lot of strength this year -- getting taken back out last spring clinched it for me -- I can now sit comfortably with all sorts of treats others are munching, crunching and praising without blinking an eye (well maybe I blink, but it is easier than it used to be) -- even the RBJ waited...

Breakfast for dinner tonight - new batch of RBJ going in the crock soon to coat the men's waffles Not sure I shared - I have now tasted the redunculous substance with no ill effect - keeping it to just a taste until I reach the six month of improved health mark - counted Thanksgiving Day as start of clock.
