  1. Glad you found somebody you trust...and the price is right!!!!!! I asborb liquid vitamins way better than pills... I wish you luck with the nutrition consult, I never found or had much luck with them or a dietican when it comes to celiac....
  2. Glad to hear you feel better. snacks can be anything.. Glutino and Snyder's both have excellent gluten-free pretzels.Michael Season's has cheese curls that are yummy. Doritios are clearly labeled, & so is lay's & Herr's...Nuts, fruits, &veggies make for wholesome snacking. Other snacks are gluten-free protein bars, jerky,peanut butter...
  3. bartful corn is an allergyso it is treatable... I just watch my intake of corn& soy but of course you may need to watch closer but yes allergies are treatable...I do the natural holistic appraoch for allergies but others go for allergy shots..

Yes, it is the only way I buy gluten-free things by the case.It is about the only way to save big.....I try not to buy these buy the case because as I said you can't just eat one....Addictive....I get issues from to much corn once in awhile & I slack off for awhile... This happens alot in the summer months when fresh corn is available...
  5. I agree with the other posters. My two cents is with Grave's Disease you can get very dry , burning itchy, puffy eyes... I have Grave's plus an off shoot from Grave's , called disthyroid orbitopathy, I use Restasis twice a day plus Genteal eye drops through out the day.Sometimes that isn't even enough ....My right eye now is about...

  10. Hello & Welcome You got the right idea...Remember naked meats no seasonings already on it, marinades, sauces or rubs.You can add that yourself.. McCormick labels ....clearly ;same with fish fruits & veggies , just make sure they are plain or naked foods& you will be okay.. Vinegar is okay but not malt vinegar, watch soy sauce...
  11. If you go to the Full Flavor website ,they have recipes there as well...other brands mentioned are okay but FullFlavor beats them all....I just had the beef gravy one & mixed it with some more spices & some wine over beef tips,excellent & no one had any idea it was gluten-free...

  13. So, I've been testing how well this Zantac is working (with my epi-pen close by of course). I went to the grocery store and went into the bakery, opened a bin full of hot dinner rolls and inhaled.....shockingly So is it Zantac that you are using to stop the allergies?

  15. To get accurate testing for celiac you need to be eating gluten... Your doctor is wrong by telling you to go gluten-free then see a GI doc..   16. I think the gluten-free diet would help your brother & maybe keep the Crohn's in check........does your parents understand celiac disease? If so, I bet your Mom would try cooking gluten-free or why don't you offer to cook gluten-free for everyone... Anything that is made with wheat can be done gluten-free..if does take learning...
  17. Pizza was a weekend treat on Saturdays & usually all Saturdays.. Went gluten-free & craved it but ten years ago I couldn't find a pizza that actually tasted like a regular pizza.. So I ate the cardboard gluten-free one at times... Now I don't or rarely eat any pizza!!!!!Plus I was a cookie, pie cake eater now I don't...
  18. Your emotions are very normal & even expected... Just to let you know you will get through this & survive. ANd even be healthy... Now corn starch works well for making gravy.. Real spuds are way better than those artifical ones....& better for you.. Lasagne can be gluten free & no one will ever tell the difference...

  20. Have you tried an epson salts foot bath... along with the asprin...I have constant pain in my back from a tear in my spinal column from an accident. I on some days can't move very well & I take a soak in the epson salts & it takes the edge off...heat makes me swell more so I have also used ice... Foot massage?
  21. mandopicker7 Thanks for letting us know you do have a real gluten problem... It was hard to be sure with the first post...gluten effects everyone in different ways.. In ten years I've been glutened once, yes, it is hard being so careful & never letting your guard down but to remain 100% is the price we pay for good...

  23. This may be a mystery ...anything even the slightest change that something came in to your home. Like a sample of soap , a new aftershave,candy, processed deli meats just look & think what recently maybe got it... recheck labels.. I suggest staying away from the cream since was purchased at a GNC I'm guessinig this wasn't prescribed...
  24. Does the cream contain a soy base? Any new pet foods?... sometimes we react to other things.. You didn't sayif the DH was acting up..
  25. We love the workhorse Zorijrushi... I had it for years & it always runs never died on me... with some machines the gluten-free dough just burns up the motors so for me it was better to pay more at first then to have to replace ....... There are many now that have the gluten-free setting programed in.. But I would not...
