  2. Hi Jenny C Me too, I love to bake .... I'm sorta lucky that I can give most of mine away & get it out of my house!!!!! I try not to think of all the calories & at times I just tell myself I can have it as a reward for being on this diet!!!!! You know mind over matter....... yeah!!! mamaw

  4. I too contacted Oberto & they told me also that four flavors were gluten-free..... will have to check out Buffalo Guys at Wally World.... do they have flavors? Coatco's had Pacific Gold on sale with a coupon & I didn'tbuy it but I didn't see any gluten listed but at the time I didn't realize it was the same as Oberto... thanks for the info ...

Jenny C this is the recipe from betty hageman ( gluten-free gourmet) that I used for creampuffs... 1 c. water 1/2 c. shortening 1/3 c. potato starch flour 2/3 c rice flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. sugar 4 eggs preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine water & shortening in a large saucepan. Bring to a rapid boil. Mix flours,, salt & sugar ...

  8. I just found Kozy shack has a limited edition --- pumpkin pudding. I came home & made cream puff dough for pumpkin cream puffs...... I'm on a pumpkin binge...... ice cream sandwiches (Annalise Roberts recipe) with pumpkin ice cream...... mamaw

I was at our local Costcos & found Mrs. May's now has a gluten-free bar that has the ingredients of the bagged nut goodie they produce.I think the flavors are: strawberry, cranberry, tropical & blueberry. I bought a box & they are good but a tad on the hard side.... I love the cashew crunch in the bag...but these are so easy to put in your purse...

  11. Here is my take on the oats issue.I would not eat oats if they were not marked as gluten-free from a gluten-free grower. I believe there are now four gluten-free oat companies. My doctor said do not do gluten-free oats for at least two years after being gluten-free, giving your body a good chance to heal. If you are super-sensitive do not do gluten-free oats...
  12. hello-- Did anyone on here make it to the seminar on Saturday , Oct20th? I thought they had a nice selection of vendors & the event was overall very good. I'm sure it was a big help to newbies. Against the Grain Gourmet from Vermont was there selling & sampling. Great products!!!! They will be now carried at Health Hut in Beaver & Chippewa...

  15. Thanks glutnfreefamily for the site for the cool lunch carrier..... We have a few cheap ones that do not stay hot until lunch!!! I ordered two for the grandkids.. Their school allows the use of the microwave but our problem is the lunch ladies have to use the micro & they never bring their lunch back to them for 10 min or longer so they never have time...

  20. Hi & welcome at our house we love Anna's bread mix..... Whole Foods has several breads that are good if you are lucky enough to have a store near you. I've been using Open Original Shared Link flour blend for baking quick breads, cookies. I just use my old wheat recipes & change the white flour to the betterbatter flour. It has worked perfectly...
  21. I guess I should rewrite why I said at times I call this my wastebasket syndrome!!! Years ago that is what doctors in my area called it!!! I used to get so mad at them because I knew I had real pain not in my head pain...but some just think we imagine this horrible pain. For me it is very real. And for sure stress is a culprit for me.... A doctor friend...

    Once you get settled in to the center city, take a drive to Doylestown (nice area) & have gluten-free pizza at "Jules". It is a thin crust pizza gluten-free of course. About 20 miles from center city. We love Sazon's arepas!!!! mamaw
  23. Pizza plant is on Transit Road, Williamsville NY. Around the Buffalo area..( gluten-free only on Wed.) I shop at Wegman's in Erie, Pa (About 1hr& 15 min from my home) I did shop at Wegman's in NY. They also have a Feel-Rite Store also. It's amazing what you can find gluten-free in different parts of the states. My only wish is to be able to do...
  24. I have fibro but mine was not lyme disease ..... I will not take any of the drugs the docs offer because I'm so sensitive to most of them. I decided to suffer & I mean suffer with the pain.
