  2. OK, I did a wikipedia search on; gliadin AB IGG Open Original Shared Link Search results: Did you mean: gliadin ABA IGG I've noticed that some members type their labs all lower case while others use all upper case letters. I guess the question I need answered is, does upper and lower case letters mean the same test?
  3. Since going gluten-free in early June my reflux has diminished to a point that I only take a prevacid solutab every 3 or 4 days. Before going gluten-free, I couldn't sleep lying down without some type of med to ease the pain. Life is GREAT without gluten, but gluten is still sneaking in here or there....
  4. Tabasco, I can relate to that!.. I had many cavities in my first teeth, fillings and 7 extractions of first teeth. My 6 year molars all came in with deformed enamel and missing enamel.. That was my first 4 fillings on permanent teeth, all by that civil war dentist drill!.. My Dentists just got the High Speed Drill, but wouldn't use it on children...
  5. Being new here, I'm confused about the gliadin AB IGG. Is it different from AB IgG? I can only find AB IgG on my LabCorp report.
  6. SuzyQ2, What Lad did your report?
  7. Very Interesting!.... I was working on the new building next to the Sajak Pavilion at the same time I was diagnosed (celiac disease & DH. I did a lot of electrical work on the 7th Floor (Grand Ballroom and classrooms) and even worked standby during the Building Dedication. I met a lot of important people connected with Anne Arundle Medical Center...
  8. I got my Free Coupon in the mail today.. Thanks to Betty Crocker / General Mills...
  9. The JO-SEF gluten-free chocolate Graham Crackers are as close as it gets until cooler weather for me... My daughter used those Graham Crackers to make an ice cream cake just for me, while the Grand Children and the rest of the family pigged out on a store bought ice cream cake... For me, life gets a little better everyday without Gluten!...
  10. My Dermatologist did 2 tests, liquid from the water blister and a tissue sample. The results for the liquid took a week, but the biopsy for DH took 2 weeks.. It was another 4 days (weekend involved) for the blood lab results, before I could start the Dapsone. Keep in mind that this was the 4th Dermatolgist that I've been to over the years.. I...
  11. rebe09, Thanks for the link... I forwarded it to my friends and family too..
  12. Semi Skimmed Pasteurized milk could be a problem..
  13. IMO, Dapsone is a miracle drug.. The water blisters were gone in less then 2 weeks and the itch was relieved quite a bit in 2 days.. The Dermatologist did prescribe FLUOCINONIDE 0.05%, but it can only be used twice a day for 2 weeks out of the month.. Keep in mind that I went Gluten Free as soon as the biopsy results were in that I had DH.. It...
  14. What Pharmacy was it? What Country / State or other information? If it's a Chain, Email the home office.. Contact the Goverment body that the Pharmacist holds their License in...
  15. Out Back Steakhouse worked for me.. That was my first meal out @ a restaurant, since going gluten free back in early June. It never was my favorite spot to eat, but it did allow me to take my wife out for her birthday.. I will do it again..... btw, What about this celiac disease card?
  16. We've always asked people to tell us what their association with celiac is. No, it's not a requirement, but it just makes common sense. And then when somebody's first post is along the lines of truckergordon's, radar goes up among people with years of experience in Internet groups. richard
  17. One would think that a Pharmacist could be held accountable.... I'm sure the Government Agency that Licensed the Pharmacist will listen and take action if warranted..
  18. I'm using Fluocinonide .05%, but I'll inquire about the Dapsone cream when I see my Dermatologist in 5 weeks.. Your Pharmacist should be able to answer the Gluten question... One should start a Patient Profile @ their Pharmacy..
  19. truckergordon, That was some "First Post".... The first site I visited (after finding out I had Celiac Disease)wanted a registration fee and monthly to yearly fees for what one can find here for free.. I for one will support this site. BTW, Tell us something about your connection to Celiac Disease
  20. I've been using Sharkies as a snack. It's labeled as, "Organic Energy Sports Chews"... They are also labeled as Gluten Free, Wheat Free, Dairy Free & Vegetarian.
  21. Taking Dapsone and going gluten-free improved my quality of life with the second pill... By the end of week one on Dapsone, 95% of the water blisters vanished and my itch was almost gone... The painful Acne showed the same results too... The latter part of week two, I missed a pill... It was a warm day at work and a mild case of the itch started.....
  22. I found out that my friends do care.. Some have educated me about celiac disease and others call to tell me about Gluten Free products that stores near me carry... I also found out that one of my friend's son has celiac disease. I do feel that we need to educate people about celiac disease.. The more people know about celiac disease, the more likely...
