  1. Yes it is too early. I would give yourself some more time to heal. No cheating. Give it at the very least three months to notice any major changes. You might notice some minor changes early on, but everyone is different and heals at a different pace.
  2. I didn't notice if anyone mentioned this, have you had your thyroid checked?
  3. Hi! On your tests, did you recieve copies of them or just the numbers? If you have copies, there are reference ranges on them. That will help to determine your results.
  4. Welcome! All those sympotms could be celiac symptoms. No, you don't have to do testing, but it might be to your benefit to so. It is just a simple blood test. At the very least I think you should get your vitamin levels checked and your thyroid. If you do decide to go gluten free, make sure you get all your testing done first.
  5. Actually, DH (dermatitis herpetiformis) is the skin manifestation of celiac disease. If you have DH, you have celiac.
  6. I believe it's the cheese sauce that is salty. Maybe just skip it and use real cheese.
  7. If you look up prilosec side effects, diarrhea is one of them. It appears that you have not been gluten free very long. You need more time to heal. It will come. I would eat before I went to the party or just bring my own snacks. Unfortunately, not everyone will get it. Some are willing to learn, but most are not. It is overwhelming at first, give...
  8. Just some thoughts, has your Dr. checked for a possible bowel obstruction or intussusception?
  9. Did I cause her damage by putting her on a gluten free diet?? Is she now MORE sensitive to gluten because she was off of it and then I gave it to her? I don't think it would be considered damage but it could cause a false negative on the blood tests. Yes, she probably is more sensitive now because she was starting to heal and now her little...
  10. If you have blood in your stool, you should call your Dr. today and see if they can help you. You might have something else going on too and better to be on the safe side of things.
  11. Sounds like you need to wake your husband up everytime you are sick. Seriously though, you can do this without spending so much extra money. Canned or frozen veggies are not expensive at all. Fresh meats are still the same price as they were before you changed your diet. In the begining I found myself trying all the new food stuff, yes all the pre-packaged...
  12. Different people all have different reactions and reaction times. If you have had symptoms resolve while gluten free and had symptoms return when eating gluten again, this is a test itself, I would say you need to be gluten free. What you need to do is to take charge of your food. I believe 25 is old enough to purchase and prepare your own foods. If you...
  13. Years ago I had pop tarts to catch on fire in the toaster oven. Last year my mother, Dear Lord please help her, I think she was cooking dried beans and she forgot about them, and when she came downstairs there was black smoke everywhere. The pan had been there so long it melted to the cooktop. It was so bad they had to buy a new cooktop. After that I bought...
  14. I had been getting mine at Whole foods in the Atlanta area, now they never have them. Now I get them at my local Publix. My son says they are not as good as the Glutino brand. My husband and I like them a lot. I'm pretty sure I found them with the other pretzels.
  15. Welcome! I would say the procedure is not necessary at this time since you have a positive celiac panel and you can't afford it. If you were to have some problems later, being gluten free will not interfere with other testing you might need done.
  16. It's quite possible it is the soy. A lot of people have problems with soy.
  17. Welcome! Yes, those could be celiac symptoms. If you can't afford blood testing, then a trial of eating gluten free could be your test. You could try it for three months and see if you have any relief of your symptoms. Since eating gluten again, have you noticed any changes?
  18. Witch Hazel works really well for bruises.
  19. They also make a vit D among others. Open Original Shared Link

  21. As one last note I did hear on the radio that MInnesota (where I am) just recorded it's second lowest barometric pressure ever (since they started keeping records). Could that explain this morning's aches and pains? I can definitely tell when the weather is changing and the barometric pressure drops. Sometimes my head will hurt, or my knees,...
  22. 3. We can take her off gluten now, then, the week before the blood tests and endoscopy, feed her lots of gluten. This will give the tests a better liklihood of being accurate but will again flood her system with poisons and make it that much longer to clear. This is incorrect. It is likely to just make her very sick if she is celiac or gluten...
  23. You have confirmed celiac in your family, I would definately get the blood tests done along with vitamin levels. Wait until after the tests to try gluten free, then you could try it for three months and see if you notice any changes.
  24. Two weeks is not very long. Do make sure you are not sharing things like a toaster, scratched non-stick pans, wood spoons and cutting boards, jars of peanut butter, mayo and the like with gluten eaters because you could be getting cross contaimination. You also might want to stop your dairy consumption for now and see if that helps.
  25. Total Iga Serum Tissue Transglutamas Iga & Igg Antigliadin Iga & Igg Endomysial Antibodies. Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) This is the newest test and is supposed to be more sensitive.
