  1. My best guess is - Its either a normal occurrence in humans or an inherent issue with the test. That is why they have a range for normal. For some reason, tests in healthy people may have a small amount of what is being tested for. Or, the test has an issue that this normal range fixes.
  2. As you have been around long enough to see , this forum likes info based on legitimate sources. We don't like to spread internet rumors and misinformation.
  3. I found it got easier as I went along. Read all the ingredients when you buy a food for your home. Then, when you are home, you know everything is safe and you don't have to have that stress. If you live with a gluten eater, then the obvious things like bread or cereal will not be gluten-free but make sure everything else is. For example - always buy...
  4. This is not scientific evidence - this is just a person's blog. Open Original Shared Link What’s with all the talk about certain types of food causing “cross-reactivity?” There is not yet reliable data about cross-reactivity. As for the alleged possibility that many gluten-free foods or drinks (such as coffee, milk, orange juice, etc.) would trigg...
  5. Please remember that the info on this thread is 7 years old. Products and ingredients change in that many years. The info may still be true but you would want to check it.
  6. You will get more answers if you posted this in the forum. Maybe the parents section or post diagnosis section? This section is for blogs which usually don't get a lot of responses.
  7. This thread is 3 years old. We have some very recent discussions of DH. You might get someone answering back on one of those?
  8. I answered this on the other old thread you posted on. The website says they will list gluten. The ingredients on the gummies clearly list wheat. All the other I of on this thread is 4 years old and ingredients change in that time period
  9. This is from the website today. Looks like they label wheat clearly and, if they don't list wheat, are likely gluten-free. This looks like a typical CYA statement as they don't test for gluten. Looks like the gummies say they contain wheat. Open Original Shared Link "All of the Flintstones Products that contain wheat or wheat derived ingredients...
  10. The info on this thread is from 2006 so its 7 years old. Ingredients change so don't go by anything on this thread that's that old.
  11. Grill those Jennie O people! :0. Seriously, post what they say. I would be curious. I have heard they sometimes add raw turkey juice or chicken for chicken. I don't quite understand where this " juice" comes from. Maybe when they grind it the juice comes out and they mix it back in?
  12. If you want to have a positive endoscopy, you should keep eating gluten. As you start healing, you will start absorbing more and more of your food. If you feel good exercising, continue to exercise. Cut back a little if you think that might help.
  13. If its anxiety about the job and your new schedule....it will work itself out in a few days, right? You might try some relaxation techniques or yoga or a brisk walk. Pregnant? Try to sneak a little food in. Maybe broth or Popsicles. 2 bites of chicken and then go do something else. Then a couple of bites of rice. walk away. Sometimes being hungry...
  14. Have you tried to contact Jennie o and see what the natural flavoring is? The butcher at my store said that the whole turkeys they have ( not Jennie O but it may be true for them, too). Are injected with water and salt. It's hard to find any without that extra salt which was my issue with them. I know some on here grow their own chicken and turkeys. ...
  15. I have seen it at 2 regular grocery stores in my area.
  16. Well...I went to the Princeton Word net and tried to get gluten free and gluten. It only gives a correct definition for the word gluten ( but not as it applies to a Celiac diet) and no gluten-free diet definition. It may have been fixed since 2006 or even be misquoted. Still more reason to get info from reliable sources.
  17. And who takes their medical advice from an Internet dictionary?
  18. There is no scientific evidence for cross reactive foods in Celiac Disease. It is possible you get similar symptoms. That doesn't mean it is causing your body to produce antibodies. Your link is just some guy who thinks he knows a lot about Celiac. Not sure he has any real scientific basis. Food poisoning, lactose intolerance and stomach virus have...
  19. The original question was from 3 years ago and was answered. The internet has lots of great info, but I have found no reliable medical or scientific sites that make these claims. There are sites and blogs and other nonsense on the internet that will tell you how to grow bigger boobs, loose 30 pounds in 3 days, and other stuff. We like to deal in facts...
  20. Open Original Shared Link "A well-balanced diet A gluten-free diet means avoiding all foods that contain wheat (including spelt, triticale, and kamut), rye, and barley, and their derivatives. Despite these restrictions, you can still eat a well-balanced diet with a variety of foods, including gluten-free bread and pasta. For example, instead of wheat...
  21. We have a rule on this forum, if you are going to tell us some info that isn't widely known, you need to provide some reliable sources to prove it. I have never seen any reliable source saying that beans, cabbage, turnips and cucumbers have gluten. Gluten is a protein found in grain which is the seed of a grass type plant. None of these other foods...
  22. Its just normal Celiac follow-up to blood test every year. I would insist they do that to make sure you aren't having an issue accidentally eating gluten. Open Original Shared Link
  23. The section is indeed ":Related Disorders" but she was not talking about diabetes, which can be a related disorder to Celiac. You weren't relating the diabetes to her issues, so it just looked like you were saying people with Celiac can't have sugar with an implication that sugar isn't gluten-free. By all means, explain the neurological symptoms of diabetes...
  24. Are the blood tests they just took positive for Celiac antibodies? That would show you are getting enough gluten to give you a reaction.
  25. They are gluten free. Diabetes is a separate issue. I don't think this poster was asking about diabetes. No need to confuse her more than she already is. Her doctors are doing a good job of it.
