  1. How warm? You can put hot food in any cooler. They sell these packs you microwave or freeze. I saw them at Bed Bath and Beyond but probably have them other places. Open Original Shared Link I have a 9x 13 glass pan with lid that goes in a cover with one of those microwave packs. Open Original Shared Link I got the little lunch Crockpot. You could...
  2. Most soap is gluten free. Maybe some specialty soaps that have wheat germ oil. Might want to skip the oats in soap or lotion. I use Chapstick. They used to say they were gluten-free but last I looked they didn't. They didn't change the ingredients, they just don't test for gluten so they don't want to say that.
  3. I think they would be good for work or traveling, too. I haven't seen them but I'll look.
  4. This is an official explanation. The problem is, doctor's sometimes use the wrong terms and say things like " gluten allergy" instead of Celiac. Open Original Shared Link "What’s the difference between celiac disease, gluten intolerance, non-celiac gluten sensitivity and wheat allergy? We use “gluten intolerance” when referring to the entire categ...
  5. Ok...all I had to read was the article...not sure about all the other stuff. So, for me, the article seemed fair. Actually, better than a lot of them. The part about being knowledgeable applies to the fad dieters. We are knowledgeable. The fact that he says it can be a healthy diet if you know what you are doing, puts this article a notch above other...
  6. Open Original Shared Link "Would taking steroids cause the blood tests to be inaccurate? Yes, but only if you have been taking steroids for a prolonged period of time."
  7. I don't believe there is any good scientific evidence that coffee looks like gluten to our bodies. Its amazing how someone with an agenda, a slick website and products to sell becomes a "medical" authority. And even more amazing how it spreads as if it were true. Open Original Shared Link Coffee can be harsh to your system. Maybe it is not...
  8. There is no gluten in those. This might be helpful: Open Original Shared Link You need to eat more than chips. Not sure if you can safely eat anything served in the Frat. You might want to talk to the cook about that.
  9. I must have missed something? I didn't think it was bad. At least twice they said you have to be careful but can eat healthy on a gluten-free diet. They said, basically, its not a fad weight loss diet but some people need to eat that way. gluten-free replacements are generally lower in fiber and added nutrients.
  10. Find some nuts or a granola type bar that is gluten-free and keep some with you always. You can always step outside and eat them to hold you over.
  11. You haven't been eating gluten free, right? You need to be eating a regular gluten diet for blood or biopsy. Can you eat a baked potato or sweet potato? Apple sauce or juice? Rice cooked in chicken broth with a few slivers of carrots cooked with the rice?
  12. Wow! I couldn't follow that! That's nuts! Even more reason to get your results.
  13. Blood tests are pretty accurate - assuming you had the right tests. Get a copy of the blood work and see if they even did any Celiac blood work. Sometimes, they order the wrong thing. Open Original Shared Link
  14. Bunny listed some. What would you normally mix with vodka? Fruit juices? Lime juice and fizzy water? What about rum? Isn't that made with sugar cane? tequila? I suppose you could email different companies.
  15. Smell shouldn't be glutening you. Not sure how popcorn would have gluten but it does smell along time. If they were making the biscuits in a mixer with flour flying, I could see that the flour would be in the air and could get in your mouth and swallowed.
  16. That is odd. I have never seen a bacon with gluten. I couldn't see the ingredients on thier website. They have wheat? or Malt?
  17. Everything I have seen, from reputable sources, seems to say that if you go gluten free, you return to a normal lifespan. Open Original Shared Link "celiac disease—which, left untreated, can shorten your lifespan and lead to other serious health issues"
  18. Right! I know that! Can I put it down to trying to do too many things at once?
  19. Yeah!~ Isn't the pastry good? The strawberry are a little tart! I love that.
  20. Look at google today. They have a picture about Scott Adams. Click on the "guide" and it makes little noises.
  21. I do, too. Haven't tried the apple cinnamon. Maybe you would like that? Maybe if they sell well, they will add flavors.
  22. That's odd. Unless they add cookies or certain candies, most ice cream is gluten free.
  23. There isn't gluten in Xantham or guar gum. Some one might have problems digesting it but it doesn't have gluten.
  24. Nacho cheese are an un-natural orange! And leave your fingers orange, too!
