  1. Also: Open Original Shared Link All gluten-free and most everything has normal ingredients.
  2. Why does everything you make have to have gluten in it? Before I had to be gluten-free, many things I made were gluten-free naturally. Chili, nachos, tacos ( check and get the seasoning packet with out the wheat), chicken and rice soup, salad, baked potatoes, green beans, carrot sticks, applesauce, steak, Chex cereal, eggs, cheese, etc. Also, gluten...
  3. Probably just papers showing the kitty has had vacinations. My in-laws took a dog to Germany and brought her back. They didn't need anything special. Might check with the airlines, they usually know. The vet may have access to the rules, too. Open Original Shared Link
  4. I don't know....one of mine spit up, no matter what he ate, for about 18 months. He has tested negative so far ( he's 20 years old).
  5. I don't. I have no rhythm. I just thought it was a good example.
  6. I don't have Sjorgren's but I know many on here do. Lots of us have very dry eyes, too. I have had people asking how I can have very dry eyes and still wear contacts. So I talked to my eye doctor today for you. She said that the first thing that needs to be done is - treat the dry eye. Even if you dont want to wear lenses, dry eye is bad for your eyes...
  7. You might take one the next time you go down the hill to a bigger town. You might be able to replace them cheaply at a hardware store or appliance parts store.
  8. "If there are no gluten- containing ingredients listed in the product ingredient label, but the product does not make a gluten free claim, it is because we cannot fully assure that this product is gluten free" To me this says they only label as gluten-free the ones they are very certain are gluten-free, including Chex and BC mixes, etc.
  9. I am trying not to laugh so Hub doesn't ask what is so funny!

    ARCHIVED Accutane?

We are thinking about trying the blue light treatments. They are not covered by insurance and will be at least $1000. But hub pointed out that he didn't need braces so we owe him at least $5000 in cosmetic procedures. He eats a lot gluten-free. The time his skin cleared up without meds was when he was camping and never used his sunscreen. This...
  11. response from Progresso. Sounds like it may be separate maunfacturing facilities. Why they dont want to say that, I don't know. Thank you for contacting us about gluten in Progresso soup. General Mills offers several products that are labeled gluten-free. Please check the package label for the gluten-free statement on the front/side/back of the package...
  12. Chebe is still sticky. I do the plastic wrap trick with it too.
  13. I have not seen that on the Planters brand before.
  14. Sometimes, if its really bad, they will see something. The problem is the villi that is damaged is very tiny so looking at little bits under a microscope is the best way to tell. Who would think the lack of something so teeny weeny hair-like could make us feel so bad!
  15. I'm hopeful a diagnosis will mean something for an adult in the future. It apparently doesn't mean much to nursing homes and hospitals right now. But maybe in a few years, they will be required to feed patients based on a diagnosis.
  16. What was the dough for? If you are trying to roll it out like pizza dough - put a layer of plastic wrap on the counter or another pizza pan. then put another piece on top of the dough and roll out. You can peel the plastic wrap off the top and flip it onto the pizza pan then remove the bottom pan or cookie sheet & pull the bottom plastic off. gluten...

    ARCHIVED Accutane?

No. Accutane is the only real " cure". He has had the range of antibiotics they give and that can cause issues, too.
  18. I think Planters is owned by Kraft now. Kraft is pretty good about letting you know if there is a problem. For PB, I get the same Skippy everyone else eats. I put a big piece of red duct tape on the lid. I don't eat as much as the rest do, so sometimes, I take the red tape off and put my jar back into gluteny circulation. Or, if I'm making cookies, I...
  19. I do fine with Planters.

    ARCHIVED Accutane?

My teenage son has tried the standard antibiotic and gel treatments for his acne and it isn't working well. Understandably, they don't want to continue the antibiotics. They want him to try Accutane. Does anyone know any studies about it being linked to the expressing of the Celiac gene ( causing Celiac disease)?
  21. I doubt the color matters. I just looked at some Mexican brand corn meal I have. I just noticed it said " instant cornmeal". The only ingredients are corn and lime, slim not sure what makes it " instant". I made hot water corn bread ( basically cornmeal & hot water & fried) and it worked fine.
  22. Just reading this recipe. What is " pre-cooked corn meal" ?
  23. If you do a little research, you will find that it appears that things like cheeses and yogurts don't have as much lactose. If you want to drink milk, perhaps you could take a Lactaid? Open Original Shared Link Milk products may be easier to digest include: Buttermilk and cheeses (have less lactose than milk) Fermented milk products, such...
  24. Exactly! They would label it MFS (wheat) normally. I have seen this on other foods with no wheat in them. Some that couldn't have anything with wheat. I think its just laziness & CYA.
