  1. Your info is incorrect for the US. On top of what Peter said, the McDonalds website gives the ingredients to the chocolate drizzle: Chocolate Drizzle: Corn syrup, dextrose, water, sugar, glycerin, hydrogenated coconut oil, cocoa (processed with alkali), food starch-modified, nonfat milk, natural (plant source) and artificial flavor, salt, gellan gum...
  2. My dog is a pure bred! Despite the wierd picture I took of him. He was going to be euthenized and the shelter workers called a lady they know occasionally takes dogs to foster. Then I got him a few weeks later from her. So I guess no one wanted him becasue he was a pure bred? You never know! Here's the disturbing thing going on around here. A Pet...
  3. Good point! You dog is really pretty! I wanted a dog that looked just like that and was a female. but......I got another black male dog!
  4. Baby chicks are adorable! Lo - I agree with everything Jess said! And, you need a better story for your bruises. Falling down the stairs is too normal. Perhaps you fought off 3 large homeinvaders? Got it when the aliens were returning you after an abduction? Professional boxing match?
  5. WOW! Thank your friend for me! Maybe I don't need to cook? The thing is, 2 hotel rooms costs about as much as a 2 bedroom condo and the extra space is nice.
  6. We have thought about getting one of those. This trip we will fly so I may get some of the expensive backpacking pans. They are really light weight to pack in my suitcase. I have been looking at those gluten-free restaurant sites. Sometimes they are OK. Was hoping to find an actual person who might have been to something. We will mostly cook or I...
  7. You could try the website. It allows you to pick which country you are buying is in. Open Original Shared Link
  8. I get an itchy/stinging and flat red "rash" sometimes. There are a few cleaning products that seem to do that (no gluten). Also, one week a year, in the spring, there seems to be something in the air that does it. IF I wash my arms, it goes away quickly. I clean up gluten crumbs all the time and even touch gluten bread to make the boys a sandwich and its...
  9. There are also Venison or rabbit and potato ones for delicate stomachs. I know several people with cocker spaniels that feed them venison or rabbit based dog food. Apparently, cockers can have a lot of food allergies/intolerances. My previous Lab mixes did better with lamb or chicken and rice. Not sure what kind of dog you have but grain free might help...
  10. This applies to boys, too, in my experience!
  11. You shouldn't just change from one food to another. You should do maybe half old food/ half new food for a week. Then 3/4 new food and a little old. Sudden changes can lead to C or D. We have our dog food in a thing that hangs on the wall and dispenses into a cup or the bowl. Barely have to touch the food. If the dog doesn't lick people, you might not...
  12. We switched to Blue Buffalo Grain free Salmon. My lab, Cooper, skin was so dry all year long. The difference was noticable. His fur is so shiny and he isn't itching all the time.
  13. We are going to The Monterey/Carmel/Santa Cruz area at the end of July. We are trying to get a condo so we can cook most meals. I know there is a WF in Monterey and one in Santa Cruz. We will have a rental car and probably buy a cheap cooler (might be one in the condo). Still, would be nice to eat out once or twice.
  14. My boys were in bed by 8:30 and asleep by 8:35. Had to get up about 7 for school. Had the same times for summer, too. This was from about 3 years until 10. Then stayed up half hour longer at 10.
  15. Can't you call tomorrow? My hub just had his Colonsocopy and they tell him to call the next day if he has questions or can't remember. Write down all your questions and call. You may just speak to a nurse, but that may be enough. IF its not, the doc can call back.
  16. Yea...you're right. I just missed the "I wrote" part. If you could have seen me, I looked like this and said. "OH" But what I put about reporting is a good learning opportunity for others reading this thread.
  17. He's made? I just saw he has read. IF he would tell us one, maybe we could see if we can see the link, too?
  18. Applebys you can make a link instead of the whole website coming out like www.karenscookies .com. instead you can insert that into the link and give it a name. If you are seeing spam ones, please use the report button on the bottom left of the post box. Then it will let you give the mods a reason for the report. We try to keep spam out but we do...
  19. I'm a little confused on something. Sounds like the GI ran this test in his office while you waited? Blood work for Celiac usually takes a few days to two weeks to get back. Just want to see if you got the right tests. You should get a copy of any blood work that was done and look at it yourself. It should have a range for normal on it. For some...
  20. From the Univ of Chicago Celiac CT: Open Original Shared Link Who can order the gene test? Does it have to go to a special laboratory? How much does it cost? Genetic testing is available through most doctors. At-home test kits are also available from Kimball Genetics and Prometheus Laboratories. Pricing for the test varies: athome kits cost...
  21. This took some time, but resolved itself for me after a while. It can take a while to get the right fiber balance and as you heal, that balance changes. Eating gets the system moving. Maybe eating as soon as you get up and having some warm tea or coffee, would get it moving earlier? I guess you have the summer to work it out?
  22. You could go to a "regular" doctor and get tested for thyroid, iron, ferritin, B12 & D. Anemia, thyroid issues, B12 or D deficiencies can make you tired. It takes a while for the intestines to heal and to be able to absorb the nutrients again.
  23. OK! Now I think I get it! A lot of people on here have had good luck with elimination diets. That seems to be the best way to see if a food bothers you. Like what you have done with gluten. I assume you must be having some issues you think might be related to another food? You could certainly try eliminating some of the common allergens like dairy...
  24. I don't think a dietician could legally diagnose you with anything. She/he could help you with a healthy diet or maybe, what food to eat for certain circumstances. I have seen a lot of people on here with a Celiac diagnosis go to a dietician who told them to eat more whole wheat! If you don't want to go back on gluten for your diagnosis, don't. ...
  25. Sounds rough! This is one thing that stood out to me. Are you saying he is eating food prepared by the school cafeteria? That sounds like a trouble spot to me. I would send my kid with a safe lunch from home. There is on- line schools that many states will pay for. What about some tutoring for the summer to try to get him caught up a bit? Maybe you...
